My husband and i had as much food as we could handle with all the excitement of our wedding and it was delicious! People are still raving to us about the food and it was almost a month ago. We could not have felt more comfortable with knowing we provided the best for our guests. Everything about Abigail Kirsch was above and beyond! -

We had our wedding at Tappan Hill Mansion, an Abigail Kirsch venue. We could not be happier with the choice! All of the food selections were incredible; there were so many yummy-looking options that it was very hard to choose our menu! In the end, all of the food, from cocktail hour to the wedding cake, was fantastic. They didn't do a traditional "tasting," which I was initially disappointed about, but they do host a couple of nights a year where they serve a sample menu (it's a LOT of food) to all of the couples with upcoming weddings. After our tasting night I was sure we had made the right choice, as everything was fantastic. It also helped us choose which dishes to select for our own wedding! Many guests raved about the food, and the service was unmatched as well. Everything was wonderful! -

We still hear people raving about the meal. There are so many options and we had such a hard time choosing the menu because the pictures all looked so mouth watering. The only downside is that they don’t do tasting but rest assured everything they serve is delicious (and very elegantly plated). They are very accommodating with special diet requests and do a great job of running through the menu after selection to ensure everything chosen works well together (ie. certain ingredients aren’t over represented, there’s a good balance of heavy and light food, etc). We also didn’t want the traditional cake so they let us use that as a credit towards something else on the menu which we used for late night pretzels which were a hit! Rest assured no one will leave hungry. -

Although there was a shift in management mid way through our planning period, Abigail Kirsch handled themselves professionally and strived to give us the best service. The food was outstanding and very hearty. The mojito granitas were a hit! And the butlered service was impeccable. Great job to Carl Hedin and his staff. Thank you for a memorable evening. It was truly magical. -

Denise Sent on 12/29/2013If you are looking for a caterer that is unique and is aware of every detail that will wow you, Abigail Kirsch is for you. My husband and I looked at many places in NY and even in Florida as we were pondering with a destination wedding. When we saw the site and the two areas in the Botanical Gardens we were simply amazed. We selected the Stone Mill. The Stone Mill is a beautiful and intimate location. At first we were hesitant because AK was not your typical caterer. They do thing differently. As we spoke to people that had the chance to work with AK, all that we kept on hearing over and over was how amazing the service and food was. How great the venue was and how great the AK team was in ensuring our day went without hitch. Every vendor, person, and service provider we spoke to all said the same thing. We were taken back by all the support AK had from various individuals. The vendor gives you everything you need. There are only a few things you need to complete your day and AK can provide recommendations. A huge concern for my husband was the food. He is a foodie and it is always hard to please Hispanic people because they can always cook better that Gordon Ramsey :). There is no one word that can describe the food but the first word that comes to mind is amazing. I can say with the basic package there is enough food and nobody will go hungry. The amount of food provided in the cocktail hour is incredible. It is not your average wedding food like chicken marsala, or prime rib. We are talking 5 star restaurant quality food. You will never think it is catered. If you have a chance to deal with AK Stephanie Hill is your go to person. She is amazing. Ensures every detail is right, every vendor is on time and fed, and is very responsive, and thoughtful. She is a rock star. AK is the best at what they do. -

Tara Sent on 09/22/2011Janet, the off-premises catering manager, is absolutely incredible. She made is possible for me to have a DREAM wedding without a wedding planner, because she was on the phone and on email with me WHENEVER I needed ANYTHING.
The food was beyond perfect. It is the best catering, beyond your dreams, and your guests will tell you that it is the best wedding they have ever been to. That was certainly the case for all my guests... and of course for me, but I'm biased! :)
The bar setup, the tables, from first to last detail, these guys REALLY know what they're doing. You do not have to think twice. If you do a tasting, you will know that there's absolutely NO competition. Work with Janet to figure out what to serve and what to hold back on, and make it work in your price range, because there is no comparison!
