    Amazing spot, awesome planners

I got married on 5/26/19 on the pier, at first we had Rob who was AMAZING. He ended up leaving and we got to work with Sarah, at first i was hesitant because Rob was so amazing. Well, Sarah went above and beyond my expectations. She was super responsive, Rob didn't end up booking the DJ we ALREADY paid for, Sarah was able to book it right away, despite the wedding being (at that time, 2 months away). The day of, there was some technical issues with the DJ, she was on top of them trying to work everything out, she was running around in the 98 degree weather. We didn't have mic sound because of the DJ, and in comes Sarah running as fast as she could with a back up mic, rest assure, everything worked out. 100% book your wedding here, Sarah will make your dreams come true without you lifting a finger.

Thank you Sarah, you were the best.

    Admiral Fell Inn's reply:

Mikayla, Thank you for the kind words, and I am glad that we delivered the ceremony that you had envisioned! I would gladly do it all again if I had to, but maybe next time in more practical shoes (probably not, who am I kidding?) I would like to note, that as a bride, you handled those curve balls with elegance and grace as well, which is hard to do! Best of luck to you and your husband, and come back to see us soon!

We Got Married at the Bond Street Pier and It Was FANTASTIC!

We had our ceremony at the Bond Street Pier, and it could not have been more amazing! The pier is so awesome, and I loved being able to showcase Baltimore's gorgeous Inner Harbor, especially for our out-of-town guests. And Sarah Linzey took such great care of us throughout the whole process. She was super responsive and easy to work with, and she truly helped make our big day perfect. A lot of the wedding planning process was very stressful, but not this part. Sarah and Harbor Magic Hotels were a delight to work with. I HIGHLY recommend booking your wedding and/or special event at the Bond Street Pier or any of Harbor Magic's other fabulous properties!

    Thank you Admiral Fell Inn

So happy we went with the admiral fell inn for our wedding! We originally booked the venue with Rob, and we were so sad he departed, but Sarah picked everything up so swiftly and we couldn't have asked for a better team at the hotel.

    Admiral Fell Inn's reply:

Darcy, So happy that you had a wonderful time! You and Oliver were a joy to work with, and everyone at the Admiral was so happy for the both of you. Please do come back and see us soon!

    Great Wedding Venue!

I had my wedding reception at the Admiral Fell Inn in December 2018 and am so happy we chose this venue, everything was awesome! We were looking for a ballroom in Baltimore City to accommodate around 100 -115 people with views. Scenery was so important to us, we did not want a closed off space. Admiral Fell Inn just renovated their ballroom and it was beautiful! It also has a balcony with incredible views of Fells Point. Sarah, the catering sales manager, had just started about a month before our date and she quickly got up to speed and made sure everything went perfectly. Ruth, was also awesome in making sure the reception went well and Donna took care of myself and my groom the entire night. She was always making sure we had a drink, enough to eat and took everything back to our room at the end of the night which was a huge help! The food was great, the staff was fabulous and the ballroom looked beautiful. All our guests had a great time and could not stop raving about the venue. We used the hotel recommended vendors for flowers, DJ and photo booth and they were also wonderful and made the process a lot easier! Thank you Harbor Magics and Admiral Fell Inn for making our day so special and perfect. Would highly recommend!

This venue was amazing, the staff was wonderful, the view and the history made our wedding the perfect wedding. The ceremony outside by the pier made it so unique and special everyone felt in love with our wedding. Rob O'Neill was amazing he help us with everything and was so accommodating to all of our request and if they didn't have it they try to get it. Donna was amazing, she was with us the entire ceremony and reception and make sure we were taking care off the whole time. The food was amazing, everyone keep telling us the appetizers were soo good and they couldn't wait for the next tray of food, the dinner was amazing and the drinks keep on coming since the bar was for the whole party. Thank you Harbor Magics and Admiral Fell Inn for making our day so special and perfect. Everything was on point. My family and friends were so happy with the way everything was.

Admiral Fell Inn was a magical venue. Randi and Mario did a great job. The entire staff was friendly and professional. There were some bumps in the road a few months before my June wedding, but not anything Randi and my wedding planners Intrinsic Events couldn't handle. If there were any issues the day of I wasn't aware and I am very grateful of that. Beautiful place. It was everything I imagined.

We gave a rehearsal dinner for sixty people in the warm, intimate Stone Room of the charming Admiral Fell Inn over Memorial Day Weekend. I can only say that the dinner exceeded our expectations in every way. The food-- we ordered the Maryland Buffet-- was simply delicious from the plump and lump crab cakes to the juicy, flavorful, and tender prime rib to the tasty grilled chicken along with side dishes that were plentiful and delicious. The crab soup was a hit as well. And the desserts along with fresh and yummy fruit knocked the meal out of the ballpark. The catering staff is so easy and responsive to work with- whatever they said they would do, they do and then some. The wait staff was professional and prompt. They left no stone unturned. Our guests are still talking about the atmosphere-- the charm and the warmth--the whole personality of the Stone Room made it the perfect spot for our rehearsal dinner. The newlyweds were simply thrilled and so were all of the guests. We loved it!

My husband and I can not give the Admiral Fell Inn and Kristina (the wedding coordinator there) enough praise. We had a small wedding (only 50 people) and the venue was perfect! Very intimate and beautiful - the only decorating we did was flowers on the tables and had to do very little else. Kristina was wonderful to work with and very responsive to our needs - she made sure everything was perfect on our wedding day. The venue was well organized and every employee from the banquet servers to the bartenders did a wonderful job in making us and our guests feel welcome. We absolutely had a wonderful experience and the food was amazing as well!

My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at the Admiral Fell Inn. The hotel is in a great location with great views from the balcony. The wedding packages include lots of extras, which was a big reason why we chose this venue. Christina was a pleasure to work with and was always very responsive every time a question or issue came up during the planning process. She helped us create a fabulous brunch menu for our reception. On our wedding day, both Christina and Emily guided us through everything so that we didn't have to worry about anything at all! We had so much fun at our wedding as did all of our guests. Everyone keeps telling us how much fun they had at our wedding and what a great venue the Admiral Fell Inn was. All of the staff at the Admiral Fell Inn were wonderful!

We had our wedding for about 75 people at the Admiral Fell Inn in November 2010. It was a stunning, perfect venue. Our guests cannot stop gushing about what a beautiful, fun wedding we had. We chose the Admiral Fell Inn for several reasons: because it is such a unique, quintessentially Baltimore setting, and because they really provide a one-stop-shop. I didn't have to deal with 50 individual vendors for cake, food, chair covers, table cloths, lighting, etc. The AFI takes care of nearly everything for you, and Christina was a joy to work with -- very responsive, very patient with my constant questions. Though we only had less than five months to plan, she made sure everything went smoothly. We had our ceremony outside on the Bond Street Pier, and even though it was a little chilly, it was so worth it. The setting was stunning, and our photos are indescribably beautiful. So much better than a stuffy church or other indoor setting! The reception went perfectly. I had prepared myself for everything not to be absolutely perfect, but it was. The food was great -- the crab cakes were an excellent example of true Maryland crab cakes; the filet was tender and cooked beautifully. Appetizers at the cocktail hour were fresh, delicious and plentiful. The bartenders were friendly and knew what they were doing -- I never saw more than two people waiting at the bar at any one time. Donna, our bridal hostess, was amazing. She was so helpful and made certain that my groom and I had everything we needed at all times, without being intrusive. The reception began at sunset, and I'll never forget the beautiful lighting of the setting sun during our first dance and as everyone gave their toasts and began to eat. The space was set up perfectly for the size of our party. The cake, from Sugarbaker's -- the AFI handles the ordering, pickup, etc. of the cake -- was perfect, beautiful and tasty. Everything in the wedding happened when it should have. It went so smoothly, I still can't believe it. I can't think of one disappointment. We also had a brunch the next morning in the Stone Room, and it was the perfect way to say goodbye to all our guests, particularly those who needed to catch flights that morning. They could grab breakfast and coffee with us before dashing off the airport. And, perhaps most importantly, the AFI is dog-friendly, which meant our English bulldog could be part of the wedding from start to finish, even on the dance floor during the reception! It was a picture-perfect day I'll remember for the rest of my life, and I can't properly express my gratitude to Christina, Donna and the rest of the staff at the Admiral Fell Inn. Even the front desk staff were friendly and helpful! It was an affordable way to have a beautiful wedding with a very elegant, high-end, personalized feel.

The Admiral Fell Inn and their staff were amazing! Everyone was very friendly and helpful, making the day a success from start to finish! I would recommend this Hotel and Venue to everyone! The staff was very accommodating and took the extra steps to make this day a memorable one. The food was served promptly and was delicious.
Lee, John, Alexis, Emily, and Ted were ready and willing to take on any task. Thanks so much!

We owe a special thank you to Samantha, Ted and their team at the Admiral Fell Inn for helping us to enjoy our wedding day on September 23. Samantha was incredibly approachable and helped us make decisions that would benefit all of our guests. While Mother Nature delivered a less than perfect day, the Admiral Fell Inn team helped us problem solve to have our wedding in the ballroom and scouted beautiful rooms inside the hotel for pictures. The food was incredible and each of our out of town guests left having a wonderful experience in Baltimore. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

Our wedding for 80 people was held at the Admiral Fell Inn this past weekend, and it could not have been better! Christina, Emily and the entire staff took care of every detail and accommodated every request, including a vegetarian menu and custom alcohol requests. Our guests were as thrilled as we were with the quality of the food and the quick and friendly service. The room is perfect for 75-100 guests. It was too cold for us (40 degrees on March 26th!), but you also have the option of holding the ceremony outside on the pier. Our Admiral Fell package included a Sugarbakers cake, guest favors, gift bags for those staying at the hotel, and two champagne toasts. Thank you Admiral Fell for a fantastic day!

We just got married here 2 weeks ago. We were able to book excellent deals for everything because we booked 14 months in advance and the inn also had a great deal of specials going on. We hosted the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception here. A great deal of our guests also stayed here. When we were looking for venues we really wanted a place that was a "one stop shop"...the Admiral Fell Inn was definitely this. We were able to take care of so many things all with one contract. They even have a deal with Sugarbakers so the cake was included (and was wonderful). Although we did at times have differences of opinion with some of the planning staff on the day of the wedding everything came together so wonderfully. All of the specialized wedding staff (banquet manager, bridal butler, etc) were wonderful and really helped to have everything run smoothly. On that note, Donna the bridal butler, was a dream come true! She helped to make sure myself and my girls were never dehydrated, hungry, or without a smile on our faces. The food was wonderful. Many of our guests could not stop talking about how perfectly cooked the filet was. Overall, the AfI was a wonderful venue and it really helped our vision of celebrating Baltimore come to life.

Used the Bond Street Pier for our ceremony and the Admiral Fell Inn for our rehearsal dinner. Beautiful venues for both. Rooms at Admiral Fell Inn very unique. Hotel great location for food and shopping, but a bit crazy at night for older family (lots of bars/ parties).

Didn’t follow our plan, then gaslighted us

TL;DR: I know this is crazy long, but it was the best way I could see to get the point across.
We weren’t treated very nicely by their staff, and several things were severely messed up with our wedding. When we attempted to air our grievances, we were told that our experiences were not valid(this might have been the worst part of all). Please see the emails below for the (no ) resolution, and our grievances. It took 6 weeks to get to this point. We are giving up trying to reconcile this. If anyone would like to see the planning emails, contract, etc, please let me know. I would be happy to share. I would also love to share the responses from the Admiral Fell Inn, but they would not email and insisted everything be over the phone, therefore I have no paper trail.

(Please note that through all of this, Chef Charlie was a complete gem and the only person who did things as they were written in our contract, while also being kind and professional. He is a true gem and it pains us that this review of bad service from others might impact him.)

    Email detailing our issues:

    Email sent 5/19/19
    Sarah,
I wrote to you on May 6th to request instructions on how to file a formal complaint. I have not heard back from you ‪in two weeks‬. I am going to list the things that went wrong during our wedding, in hopes that we can come to some kind of agreement on how to rectify this.

I will simply first list what I witnessed myself, followed by the things that have been reported to me over the last two weeks by my family and friends.

    1. The day of the rehearsal; the front desk had no idea what time we were supposed to be there, and had no idea what to do with our things. I made a special phone call to you, Sarah, to ask you to make sure everyone was informed, because Jaime was nervous about leaving our expensive bridal party gifts behind for the week. Despite your assurances, we were met with confusion and extreme rudeness by the front desk staff... and then our things were left out on the counter, despite asking politely several times for them to be locked away.

    2. Joaquin is a problem. He was rude to us the day of the rehearsal, the night before the wedding (where is ignored me for a full 5 minutes before even checking me into our rooms, and refused to even listen to me about how far apart the rooms were for getting ready) and especially the day of the wedding when he yelled at my bridal party and my new Father-In-Law. He refused to bring us chairs, causing us to start everything late, and told anyone who would listen that he was overworked and understaffed. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

    3. We did not see you all day, Sarah. You were not there to coordinate for us, and based on the other things that happened, you did not educate the staff about our wedding at all. The only time I spoke to you was when I called to beg for your help in getting chairs, and then when I had to complain that we weren't being helped by anyone, or that the room was hot. You were completely absent for the majority of the day, because you were busy with another wedding. You told me yourself that "The other bride was very anxious" and that you had to stay there. We also paid money and deserved to be supported by you and your staff, which did not happen.

    4. Donna promised she would be there before the ceremony with drinks for us and to help us get ready. She never brought drinks and she disappeared after the ceremony, leaving us to make our own awkward way upstairs after the ceremony, intermingled with our guests who were also awkwardly making their way upstairs. Once we arrived upstairs, we were yelled at by the manager up there. I asked her if you or Donna were available to help us get to the board room, etc and she literally yelled at us and said "THEY ARE DOWNSTAIRS LOOKING FOR YOU! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE DOWNSTAIRS!" The first words spoken to us after our wedding vows were yelled at us by a stranger, do you have any idea what kind of memory that is for us?  Donna didn't show up for another 10 minutes, and when she did, she did so with no explanation and no apology. She simply brought us a plate of appetizers (with meat. we are vegetarian. I guess this was another thing that got lost in the shuffle) and acted like everything was fine. As though our ceremony wasn't a complete disaster, as though it wasn't embarrassing to us all.

    5. The chairs. Sarah, you and I talked about those chairs ad nauseam. You and I both knew we had more guests than the room could seat which is why we discussed no less than three times, and probably more, that we needed standing room in the back. Yet, no standing room. We had to wait for 10 minutes in the hallway while Donna tried to figure out what to do with the extra people. It was humiliating, and on top of already being so nervous and anxious about our ceremony, it was horrible. I don't understand what I could have done differently to make that work out. It seems as though you and your staff just didn't listen. I have no idea where the "extra" people who were invited to watch our vows, but couldn't fit, went. I am still so embarrassed by this situation.

    6. The cocktail hour. I am completely baffled by this. How many times did I confirm with you that our guests would be served drinks immediately after the ceremony? I know we discussed it on the phone, in email and in person. So imagine my shock when I find out that my guests  a) had to make their way upstairs alone, as every person we were paying to be there was absent b) found themselves in a stifling hot room and c) were told that drinks wouldn't be served for another 15 minutes. I cannot believe that this happened and that my guests had to just stand there in the heat and wait for a clock to run out, despite the fact that this was prearranged from our very first meeting. I am literally flabbergasted that this happened, and completely livid. This is a contractual breech.

    7. Your staff took it upon themselves to decide which of our vendors were permitted to have a drink. Our photographer had a beer jerked out of her hands by your manager, and she was told that the DJ was allowed to drink because he is a "close and personal friend of the brides" but the she was not allowed to have a beer. Amberlee has been our friend for 15 years, and a renowned professional wedding photographer for the last 12. How dare they rate our friends that way? Why in the name of God did your staff take it upon themselves to decide who was close enough to us to have a cocktail at our wedding? Why didn't they ask us? I am so filled with anger when I think about our friend, and vendor, not only being verbally insulted, but having something ripped from her hands as though she was a child. If it was simply a matter of paying for that beer, I would again ask- why weren't my wife and I consulted? (also I might add that we paid for alcohol for a number of pregnant and sober people at our wedding, so if that was the problem, it is extremely petty.) Amberlee Christie would also like file a complaint about the way she was treated by your staff. She will not tell me directly, as she is loath to give me more bad memories,  but she did say that never in 12 years of weddings has she been treated the way that your staff treated her.

    8. Your manager attempted to charge our bridesperson (one of the aforementioned sober people)  a corking fee for a bottle of mountain dew he got in his bridal party gift. Literally chased him down and asked for money. This is tacky and classless and every time I hear the story from guests who witnessed it, I am embarrassed and angered all over again. Was this really necessary? Is this really how you treat guests of your hotel and your weddings?

    9. The reception was extremely hot. Despite asking many times for the temperature to be lowered, it was never done. You told me "Engineering" would be consulted... but what ended up happening is that the doors were propped open.

There are more stories, but I am going to stop here because I am getting upset all over again. The most expensive, planned, important day of our lives was only a moderate success because our bridal parties did your job, Sarah, and ran damage control for your staff. We feel as though the Admiral Fell Inn had too many weddings that weekend, and that when ours rolled around, no one cared about it. We were treated poorly at every turn. We were ignored, yelled at, argued with and generally made to feel like we were the least important people around. I spent a solid year planning this day and almost all of that planning was undone because of the inattentiveness, rudeness, and absence of you and your staff. These memories cannot be remade, and it is upsetting that every person I have talked to about the wedding in the last two weeks says "It was so fun!.. but why was it so hot!?" or "You both looked great... did you hear they tried to charge Clark for drinking Mountain Dew!?" "Thank you for inviting us... why weren't there enough chair for the ceremony?" Its awful to know that all that money and planning had created memories tinged with the Admiral Fell Inn's ineptitude.

We paid you nearly $14,000, and we absolutely did not get our money's worth. I look forward to discussing how we can rectify this.

*Email with our (non) resolution after we were offered a free weekend in their hotel to “make things righ”t sent 6/9/19*

    Amr,

We have decided not to accept your offer of a free weekend in your hotel as a way to “make it right”. We have come to this decision because even though you keep claiming that you want to make everything right, you are-in the same breath- telling us our experiences were not true and that we have nothing to complain about. The issues we had at our wedding were real, and no amount of telling us you were there “every step of the way”, that you interviewed our guests, and that you know that nothing bad happened, will change the facts. There were several mistakes made, several plans ignored and several encounters with rude staff that made our day uncomfortable and stressful for us, our bridal parties, vendors and guest. Period. It is insulting that you have tried to convince us otherwise.

I think we should leave our situation in this uncomfortable limbo to remind both parties of what transpired. My wife and I have learned that no matter how many times you revisit plans, in person, in writing, and on the phone, it is never enough to ensure good service. I hope this serves as a reminder to you that when a client has a legitimate concern and grievance, it is probably better to hear them out and apologize, instead of invalidating their experiences and gaslighting them every step of the way. In all honestly, if you had apologized or recognized that things did not go according to our wedding plan even one time during this process, this whole thing could have been avoided.

I am truly sorry that we couldn’t come to some kind of agreement, and that we have to leave things this way. I, personally, cannot stand for this to be dragged out any further and would prefer to put this behind us and try to focus on the good parts of our wedding as best as possible.

Don't let them touch your vehicle

The hotel is fine, but they allow their valet drivers to damage your vehicle with zero compensation and will blame the hundreds to thousands of dollars in damage on you. If you don't mind them doing that, then everything will probably be fine.

While I thought my wedding was beautiful this venue was not what we paid for! Our guest found rat fesses in their water! The food was horrible & COLD, the planner was horrible and I was very unhappy with the choice I made to have our wedding here! WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS VENUE!
