I cannot recommend this hotel enough!! The hotel was a dream to work with to coordinate my large, Indian wedding – they were accommodating, understanding, and completely willing to work with us for every event. From the very beginning, the sales team understood the requirements for an Indian wedding and they assured us that they could accommodate all of our requests – and they did. The sales team also provided invaluable advice and acted as a trustworthy partner throughout this planning process. Once we signed the contract, the event staff took over and they were fantastic. They provided sound advice, were very detail oriented, extremely responsive and they were a dream come true on the actual wedding day.
Thanks to the Marriott Alpharetta, our wedding was spectacular! All of the staff was extremely helpful. Every small detail was considered and carefully worked through so that literally there was not a single issue that arose on the day of the wedding. Without a doubt this was a result of the amazing staff at the Marriott. The space itself was gorgeous and just looked like a wonderland for the wedding! On top of that, since most of my guests were coming in from out of town, they stayed at the hotel and only had good things to say re: the rooms, hotel breakfast, and staff. If you are looking for a luxurious hotel to host your wedding outside of downtown Atlanta, this is the hotel you should use! They are amazing!!

We booked a block at the hotel for our wedding party and guests. Tara, worked with us to make sure our block was coordinated and arranged for us to check in early as their usual check in time is 2-3 pm and our ceremony started at 4pm. We also had a complimentary shuttle (1 drop-off & 1 pick-up) which worked out great for the wedding party's spouses as they were able to check-in, get ready, and not worry about locating the venue or having to leave their car at the venue. The complimentary breakfast was awesome, however be aware that they charge a 20% gratuity automatically to your room bill ,without notice, for the surly woman who only brought us water and OJ. The manager was very helpful and removed it from our bill since we were not made aware of this policy. We stayed in 1 of their 2 suites which was nice as it gave the wedding party a place to hang out. Many of the wedding party guests were annoyed by the fact that a man in a t-shirt and jeans with some sort badge around his neck (who never officially identified himself as security) was pacing the hall saying there was a noise complaint despite the fact that the majority of the rooms on the floor were occupied by our wedding guests. In attempt to be quiet and reduce door slamming and knocking we propped the door with the slide lock as we were waiting for a few more guests to arrive. However this unnamed man opened our door and told us not to prop our door and promptly slammed it shut. The best man from our wedding and his wife ended up on another floor and as they walked down the hall to our room his cellphone rang and the "security officer" threatened to throw them out of the hotel for making too much noise. All in all it is a very nice hotel for a good price. I attended a very nice wedding reception there in the past and would recommend it.

We had our wedding and reception here and was very pleased. The staff was very professional and everything turned out great. At first we were a little unsure of the place and was not sure if it would look too hotel like, but when everything was put in place, it looked beautiful. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice location at a nice price. And best of all, its a hotel! Being able to get ready there was very convenient.

My reception was in the Magnolia Ballroom at the Atlanta Marriott Alpharetta. I live in Birmingham so when I came to look at the ballroom and surrounding areas, it was under construction. They showed me the plans (which were amazing) and promised me everything would be ready in time. The day of our wedding, everything was in it's place and was absolutely gorgeous. It was the perfect place. The vibrance of the room complimented our black and white wedding wonderfully. We didn't need to add a lot of color ourselves because it is used in the decor of the room so well. We loved it! It was absolutely perfect! Unfortunately, I only had two complaints (one of them pretty major) about the hotel, which actually had nothing to do with the people who helped plan the wedding. Vince did an amazing job! But, I called months in advance to ask if the hotel bar could stay open late Friday and Saturday night since so many of our out-of-town guests would be staying there and wanting to get together. They assured me it would be no problem. Friday night, they only stayed open until midnight. They previously had told me as long as we were there, they would keep it open. Unfortunately for us and them, that did not happen. The night of the wedding they kept the bar open later, but still not until everyone was ready to go. Unfortunately, the thing to ruin the wonderful impression we had to begin with, my husband and my cell phones were stolen out of our bridal suite the night of the wedding while we were in the lobby with guests. We were told by security that a man was seen coming out of our room who didn't look to be from our party. The head security person asked him what he was doing there, and the man told him we needed more towels and left. We could not believe the security person did not stop him or question him further. He then came downstairs to tell us to come up to our room and see if anything was missing. We then noticed our phones were gone (an I-phone and a Blackberry). They said there was nothing they could do. They did not file a police report or give us anything to offer an apology. We had to spend $400 of our gift money from the wedding to replace our phones. We were shocked at the lack of concern. We had to spend the first two hours of our honeymoon in Barbados calling long distance to get our phones shut off, bank accounts locked, etc. The least they could have done is discount the balance of what my parents owed them by a couple hundred dollars. The only good thing I can say is that the guy only got away with our phones. The security person must have gotten there just in time so they couldn't get anything else. I would completely understand if there was a safe in the room and it was our fault for not putting or valuables in it while we were out of the room... but that is not the case. There are no safes in the room. So, if you stay there, I'd take everything you have that you don't want to miss with you.

All that being said, Vince, who plans the wedding festivities is AMAZING!!!! He was so helpful, so easy to communicate with, and would check in with us all the time to make sure there wasn't anything else he could do. I would definitely recommend the venue, but I would be careful leaving things in your room if you choose to stay there.
