First of all I don't even leave reviews BUT I had to. Omgoodness, where do I even begin? Katie Coon is a phenomenal wedding planner, like the best. My fiance and I really had a hard time trusting different venues with all the folks just trying to get money. She accommodated all of needs, negotiated pricing, and really took care of us. Being apart of the LGBT community, she didn't make us feel weird or unwelcomed which is rare in the wedding world! I'd recommend any couple who wants an extremely elegant and sophisticated setting without the extra to BOOK with Katie.... I promise you won't regret it. SOOO MANY PERKS, overnight accommodations, full bar, plated butler-ed dinner... i can't wait! I'll follow up after our wedding in November.

I can't say enough good things about Antrim 1844! We chose their elopement wedding package and could not be happier with our experience. The special events manager, Jill, was incredibly organized, knowledgeable, and responsive. All of the wait staff were helpful and kind. The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful and our families were in love with the whole place. I would definitely recommend this venue for a small wedding. It felt intimate, but still gave a lot of the typical wedding experiences (photographer, bouquet/boutonniere, officiant, overnight suite, delicious drinks, etc.). Plus, the price can't be beat! Comparable wedding venues either do not include as many add-ons in the elopement/micro-wedding package, or the price is MUCH higher. Cannot recommend Antrim enough!

First off I will be very clear with my rating: There are not enough stars in THE GALAXY to appropriately rate how fantastic Antrim 1844 is as a wedding venue. It was very clear from the beginning of our interaction, through the planning process, and finally through the wedding that they certainly live up to their internal staff motto that, "every time you step on campus, you need to bring 100%."

The grounds were extremely well kept, whether during the dead of winter or during the height of summer. Whether you are looking to have your wedding on or off-season, Antrim did an extremely good job of ensuring the grounds were well-kept and maintained their antique vibe. Because the venue is naturally so beautiful, we actually decided that we did not need additional decorations or flowers, saving us thousands of dollars. We had our wedding on the 15th of September and the weather was splendid. Not too hot outside and the rose garden was in full bloom. Even if you have your wedding in December (I did my initial location scout in December) the campus is beautiful. The hotel had been beautifully decorated for Christmas with large Christmas trees and garlands hanging inside and out.

The rooms were all well kept and it was very clear that the hotel was very deliberate in how it stylized the rooms. Each room's theme was beautifully put together, which made photography very easy while on the premises.

The staff was extremely kind and was very knowledgeable when it came to the dining experience. One of our guests is a winemaker, and the waitstaff was able to answer each of his questions regarding the various wines available. Antrim has a wide selection of unique beverages, some I have yet to find in a liquor store. The Smokehouse restaurant IS WORTH EVERY DIME. The food is fantastic, and the kitchen was able to be very accommodating for guests with food allergies or with certain preferences. The bartending staff was also super knowledgeable in their craft and was able to keep up with our guests ( we had 94). The inclusion of the food and the open bar into the wedding package resulted in us saving probably an extra $3,000-4,000 for the wedding. (You will love the tasting part of the planning process, EVERYTHING is good)

The coordination aspect with the hotel could not have been more smooth. Since the beginning of our planning process, the hotel's wedding coordinator (Jill Dyson) was super professional, punctual, and made us feel like we weren't just another group. She was very responsive and extremely helpful in finding unique ways for us to keep the flow of events moving. We did not use a wedding planner (and while it was stressful) Jill made it the most chill planning process we could have ever hoped for.

Things for consideration:
- There are several hotel rooms located at some distance from the main house. The hotel does offer golf cart rides for those who need shuttling to and from places. Very useful for older guests.

- The fire department/ EMS is just down the street ( for risk management purposes) This was very important for us considering that we had a number of older guests

- There's tons of parking in a parking lot across the street

- BOOK YOUR ROOM BLOCK EARLY. We were a little late and some of the rooms we were hoping to get were already taken. There are other hotels in the area but not many, and Uber access was limited (Taneytown is VERY much in the country). If you are going to have a large group that likes to drink, make sure to get all the rooms possible early so the maximum amount of people can just stumble back to their rooms

- Don't just stay one night. My wife and I (and a few other friends) stayed a few nights there and it made it so much easier to just chill out. Stay at least the night before. You won't regret the experience.

We had our wedding at Antrim 1844 in August and it was absolutely perfect! The venue was a great size for our wedding which was ~110 people. We toured the venue in the fall and when we showed up for our wedding weekend everyone was blown away by the beautiful flowers and grounds. The mansion is absolutely stunning and made for some beautiful staging & getting ready photos. The bridesmaids used the lower level of the Birnie House for getting ready, which turned out to be such a good decision and it was the perfect start to a fairytale of a day. Lastly, we stayed at the venue at the Ice House the night after our wedding to celebrate alone and it was magical. The little pool and our dinner experience was so unique. We will be back for all of our anniversaries! Thank you for making our day so magical and perfect Antrim!

Probably the most gorgeous hotel in Maryland. So gorgeous, in fact, we got married here. 😊

From start to finish, my husband and I were impressed with Antrim. Our coordinator, Jill, was incredibly nice and helpful, and she made sure everything went smoothly throughout the whole process. The property is beautiful, the food is amazing, and the package they offer is quite reasonable compared to a lot of other wedding venues. Our guests had a fantastic time and told us over and over again how much they loved the venue. It was wonderful to be able to have our wedding party and other guests stay on site, and the bridal suite is incredible. I am so happy that we chose Antrim for our wedding!

I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT ANTRIM! From the moment we first visited this place to the after wedding check out, everything was SUPERB and topnotch! While I was planning our wedding, like any bride-to-be, I would read tons of reviews of vendors and always wonder if they were ever exaggerating about the vendor. And if you are, trust me when I say Antrim could not be beat! Like everyone else has said, guests were blown away by the food, the service, and the beauty of the property. Many have complimented us saying that it was BY FAR, one of THE best weddings they had ever gone to! Even with the distance (and a lot of my guests were from VA) they said it was totally worth it! The food, incredible! Where can you go and completely customize your menu to include split lobster tail wrapped around a crab cake?! If you are a foodie like me and want to impress your guests, honestly, what better way than with fresh tuna wontons, duck egg rolls, scallops, and thats just to name the h'ordevres! Im talking so much about the food because I know when I was reading reviews, I really wanted to know what was included in the price and packages and no one ever discussed the food per say, except that it was great! So that was just a little tidbit I wanted to throw in.

But honestly, they make you feel so special and so important there and what better day than your wedding day to be treated so fantastically?! I am a part-time wedding planner and could go on and on about how fabulous they are. But just trust me when I say, you will NOT REGRET having your wedding here!!!

And Elizabeth, such a Godsend! She was absolutely amazing through the entire planning process and could not be more thankful to have worked with her! Shes the sweetest person ever and will genuinely care about you and your wedding!

I would highly recommend this wedding venue to anyone. From start of planning to the day of the wedding, Antrim was a class act and they took care of everything. The grounds are so beautiful and the food is outstanding. Both Katie and Jill were especially great to work with, they were very responsive, answered all of my questions, and were very flexible and accommodating. The day of the wedding, I did not have to worry and stress about minor details or event timeline because the staff was on top of everything! I would highly recommend Antrim 1844 as a wedding venue to all couples looking for an out-of-the-box, unique, magical venue. They knocked it out of the park in every way possible!

Antrim 1844 was the perfect venue for our wedding. They were one of the first venues we looked at after getting engaged, but we initially thought that they would be out of our price range. After looking at other options, we soon realized what a tremendous value Antrim's package actually is. The fact that their package includes all ceremony fees, an impressive 4 entrée selections, and open bar without upcharges is astounding.

Katie and then Jill were incredible wedding coordinators, and everything about the day of our event was flawless. We had about 50 of our family members and friends across 28 rooms stay on site which was an added bonus. Food and accommodations were phenomenal. We truly have no negative feedback to offer and cannot recommend this venue highly enough.

The Antrim is not only a beautiful venue but the wedding planning process with them was so simple. The staff that works at the Antrim are great and will make you and wedding day stress free and so enjoyable. The Antrim helped to make my wedding day come together perfectly. I would recommend the Antrim to anyone getting married!!

It’s been a week since our magical wedding! We wanted to send a sincere thank you to our wedding planner, Jill, for all of the hard work she has done to make our day PERFECT! We couldn’t have done it without her! She is truly are amazing at what she does! The Antrim again was phenomenal! From the decorations to the service it was amazing! We greatly appreciate all they have done for us. From the planning to the setting up the decorations to getting us out the door for the ceremony to making sure the dinner went perfectly as planned. It was amazing! Everyone we talked to loved it and had the best time! We wanted to send our upmost appreciation for Jill and all of the staffs hard work. If we could do it all over again I wouldn’t change a thing! It was truly magical!

The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and efficient throughout the evening! We had Jill help us prior to the wedding day and she was very quick to respond back to all of our emails and pleasant when answering all of our questions. We had Matthew Spenspadvold help us throughout the evening and he was amazing!! We feel so lucky to have had him on our team during the reception, he kept us on schedule and was very courteous and made certain we were taken care of throughout the evening. Everyone was very pleased and impressed with how the wedding turned out from decorations to food to service, everything was top notch.

Katie Coon and the team at Antrim 1844 made our wedding day absolutely perfect and easy! One of the main reasons why we picked this venue was because it had so much already included (food/alcohol, set up/tear down, coordinator, hotel rooms, breakfast, etc.) and we could stay in 1 location throughout the full day (getting ready, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, after party). I can't say enough good things about them! Thank you Antrim for making our day the best day!

We had our wedding at Antrim in August 2022 and were extremely happy with the venue! They provide a beautiful location, awesome food and drinks, tables and settings, hotel rooms, and great service all-in one, which made our experience planning the wedding a lot easier. The coordinator on the day-of also helped the wedding go off without a hitch.

Seriously, go to their restaurant and try the food - we were sold immediately! Antrim was also flexible in working with us when we needed to move our wedding date due to covid.

The Antrim was very accommodating and our wedding coordinator, Katie, was great!! The day was more than I ever expected and our guests thought the place looked amazing too!

My new husband and I couldn't be happier that we picked Antrim 1844 for our wedding venue! All of our guests keep telling us what a great time they had, how amazing the food was, how cool the rooms were, how nice all the staff was, the list goes on... It rained most of the day and there was a Tornado Warning, but that only added to the fun HAHA! Not only was the wedding day itself amazing, but the help we received from the staff the whole year and a half leading up to the day was outstanding. Extremely responsive to emails and questions (which I had a LOT of), super organized when it came to reserving rooms for guests and all coordination in general. It made the whole wedding planning process FUN and stress-free. The day went by so fast and I'm so sad that it's over, but so incredibly grateful that I can look back at our wedding day with the happiest of memories. I can't wait until March 28, 2022 so we can go back for our 1-year anniversary!! Shout out to Jill for being the most amazing wedding coordinator ever, to Felicia for being so kind, patient, and organized with my hundreds of room reservation emails, and to Crystal for all your help with the rehearsal brunch! Having our wedding at The Antrim was the best decision we ever made. Our wedding coordinator, Jill, was amazing and answered all of our questions quickly and helped make this process so smooth and less stressful. The entire staff at the venue were so helpful and organized and helped make the day and night go perfectly! The food was also absolutely amazing! Every single guest continued to talk about how fantastic the hors d'oeuvres and dinner tasted! I highly suggest The Antrim for anyone who is looking to get married, it will be the best choice to make for your wedding!!

Jill, our coordinator/planner was so amazing. She made our wedding happened even though we only have more than 1 month to plan everything for our wedding. She was very responsive with all our request and made sure our wedding will still happen even there was a snow storm. We were able to experienced an intimate, fun and elegant wedding. we stayed for one more night to enjoy the place and Had a dinner in Smokehouse Restaurant. It was a wonderful dining experience and personalized service.

Antrim 1844 has it all! It rained on my wedding day (sigh), but our coordinator, Katie, contacted me early in the morning to give me options for our ceremony location. We received excellent service the entire day beginning with Katherine at the front desk, the amazing banquet staff led by Crystal, and our awesome firepit after the reception set up by Greg. Our overnight room was clean as a whistle, complete with extra bottles of water, which we desperately needed after a night of dancing! But it didn't stop there- we had a fantastic breakfast with the morning crew, and the banquet staff had all of our wedding decorations neatly boxed up for us to take home after check out. Honestly, the team at Antrim has thought of everything, right down to the last tiny detail. And believe me, when you're a bride-to-be, every detail counts!! I give them two very enthusiastic thumbs up!!

We cannot say enough about the "full package" experience Antrim provides as a venue. Like many recent weddings, we were originally booked for 2020. After a lot of discussion, going back and forth, we pushed it out til 2021. And boy did we hit the jackpot on the most perfect day! Antrim was very accommodating, allowing us to move our date without any price increases. With the new date we were able to book a bunch of rooms the day before the wedding and the night of the wedding. It was a perfect wedding weekend getaway. We had all of our friends and family staying with us. The Girls had breakfast in the suite and all the guys met in the restaurant. The bridal suite is HUGE we had 10 people + hair and make up and there was plenty of space. As for the event itself the staff was INCREDIBLE. I don't think I lifted a finger the entire day. Katie was our coordinator and she was a dream. She knows what she is doing, anticipated all of our questions, and made sure everything was PERFECT. Additionally we had a staff member that was assigned to help with my dress and check in on us throughout the night. This was unexpected but SO needed and appreciated. Absolutely everything went perfect, we could not have asked for a better day. Lastly, with so many guests staying the night on site, we had Pizzas delivered at 10:15pm. It was a beautiful evening and everyone was able to enjoy some pizza at the bar/on the deck. Staff was available for anything we needed, including trash bags for clean up. The bride and groom end the night with desserts and champagne left in the suite. So many small touches that made the day exceptional. At the end of the day it was worth EVERY PENNY. We wouldn't change a thing!

Antrim 1844 was everything we could have dreamed of and more! Katie, our event coordinator, took all of our stress away and helped plan the entire event. We had to postpone our wedding and Antrim was more than accommodating with all of the changes. Our entire family and bridal party stayed on site. Olivia, one of the servers was great too and helped carry my train down the aisle. I cannot recommend Antrim 1844 enough!

We held my daughter's wedding at Antrim 1844, and it was simply the best decision we could have made! Katie Coon and the Antrim team made the day simply spectacular! Even though we had a bit of rain and were unable to hold the ceremony in the garden, the team made sure the inside ceremony room looked amazing! Our guests raved about everything from the beauty of the venue, to the food, which was incredible. We had many out-of-town guests, who stayed at Antrim for the wedding weekend, and they loved it! Every single detail of the Antrim experience is wonderful, and they helped us create a stunning wedding that we will talk about and remember with joy for many years to come. I can't recommend Antrim 1844 highly enough for a wedding or any special event.

I would highly recommend touring the venue. Pictures are beautiful but the Antrim truly has a presence that will help you make your decision! We knew it was the right fit for us since we could host the reception, after party and guests all in one spot.

Jill was our coordinator and her flexibility throughout the COVID-19 craziness was commendable. We changed from an indoor reception to outdoor relatively quickly and Jill was willing to flush out the details and answer (all of) our questions. Also, consider booking the after party for your guests. You can select bar food that the kitchen has out and ready for you and your guests following the reception. Perfect after too many cocktails! They even put a fire and chairs outside to give it a cozy feel!

Kaitlynn was our contact for rooms and boy, was she a gem! The night of my rehearsal one of the rooms had a leak in and she was quick to reply and take care of the issue. Her kindness, attention to detail and calm demeanor was greatly appreciated.

Overall, one of my favorite things about the Antrim (besides its beauty, delicious food, and history) is that my husband and I can't wait to celebrate future anniversaries there! It's truly magical.
