  Jennifer is a breath of fresh air, and we were so grateful to have found her! She listened to all ideas and worked with me to create the hair and makeup of my dreams. She was super adaptable and was able to put me and my bridal party at ease when the day of jitters kicked in.
  
  Besides being a fantastic artist, she was a true professional, punctual and responsive. From just a few pictures and descriptions of what I was going for, she was able to fulfill the exact look I wanted. My hair ideas changed around but she helped show a few options and even found a good way to have my hair piece stay in place through all the dancing.
  
  She knew exactly what she was doing~ and my makeup stayed looking fresh for over 10 hours. Her rates are very reasonable and she is absolutely worth every penny. I highly recommend Artistry by Jennifer Lee Johnson!

  I wanted a crazy hair color and Jennifer worked with what I wanted and made it happen! My hair came out just how I wanted! She did a fantastic job! Highly recommend!

  Jen is by far my favorite hairstylist! Trust me when I say I have gone through several while my time here. It was never the right color or the haircut just wasn't right. The moment I walked in Jen's house I knew that this girl knew her stuff. Not only do I walk away each time feeling sexy and loving my hair but she gives me more knowledge then I could asked for. That is one of her best qualities. She continues to grow in her education and loves learning new tricks and styles. I am so blessed to have her as my stylist.

I was fortunate enough to have her do my hair and makeup for a pinup style photo shoot and it was flawless. I love how she also tells you what will look good with your features and what doesn't.   Jennifer was a great MUA and hair stylist. I told her what I was looking for for my wedding day and she went over and above what I had expected. She does such a wonderful job and takes the time to listen to what I want before she offers her suggestions. She did a hairdo for my mom and maid and honor too. It was an excellent price and a great experience. I highly recommend it.

  I met Jen 3 years ago on the set of a short film I was producing. Since working with her on that production, I have hired her for every project I have produced since, ranging from narrative to corporate shoots.
  
  These are things that make her stand out:
  
  She is great with clients & talent. It's very important to me that any talent feels comfortable & confident. Jen is very easy to talk with & helps ease their insecurities should they have any. This is extremely important for corporate shoots since most talent is already uncomfortable on camera.
  
  The 2nd is her familiarity with skin tone & lighting temperatures. This can be extremely tricky, but not only does Jen know what colors will work to achieve the proper effect, but she understands how the camera will read it.
  
  She doesn't only do hair and makeup, but she excels at both. She is even wonderful with SFX makeup which is rare to find. I find that Jen's versatility is useful on set & an asset to any production even if the roles are separated.
  
  Finally, when it came to my wedding day, the decision for my hair & makeup artist was a no brainer.
  
  She & I worked together on a style that would compliment my outfit while expressing my unique personality.
  
  My hair was romantic & big, but had to have a delicate touch and strong eye because I gave Jen fresh flowers, a vintage flower crown, long hair & gold hair tinsel to incorporate.
  
  My makeup was tricky because it needed to play off of my hair without being over the top and staying within what would look most natural to my fair skin.
  
  I ending up receiving compliments all night with descriptions using words like princess, dream, mermaid, fairy tale, Victorian & a modern Renaissance.
  
  She not only met my expectations, but she exceeded them, which she consistently does in every production. I had a lot of fun in her chair, and I look forward to continuing to have her on set to give that to directors, clients & talent.

  Brides, if you are looking for a hairdresser/make-up artist that cares about how you look on your big day as much as you do, then Jen is your gal!
  I hired her to do hair and make-up for my wedding in May 2013. I was having a hard time figuring out just what look I wanted, but she patiently worked with me on a few trial sessions until we were able to find a look that I loved. She also did hair and make-up for some of my bridesmaids and my Mother, who doesn't wear more than mascara on a daily basis. My Mom looked beautiful when she was finished, but also said she felt comfortable and not over done. The day of my wedding was unusually hot for that time of year and our ceremony was held outside. To top it off, the air conditioner in the limo broke so there was no relief on the way to the venue. I have oily skin and most of the time make-up melts off in hot weather. My make-up stayed in place perfectly all day and into the night! I felt beautiful all day without having to worry about how my make-up was holding up.

  After 5 hair and make up trails, I was lucky enough to cross paths with Jen. She is truly talented! It was 100 degrees on my wedding day and Believe it or not, my hair and make up lasted ALL day and night!!!! She did an amazing job. I recommend her to anyone who wants to look incredible on their wedding day....

  Jennifer did my hair for my wedding. She did a very good job and the hair looked a lot better than at the trial. My bridesmaids were happy ith their hair as well. Prices were reasonable, other hair dressers charged around the same as Jennifer. She was very funny yet professional.

  Jen is very knowledgable about hair and makeup. She was able to understand what I wanted and practiced the look on me and a manequinn head on her own time in order to achieve the best possible results. Neither mine nor my girls hair fell all night and our makeup stayed perfect! She was very flexible in coming to where we were to do our hair/makeup

  Jen was on time, listen to my wants, and did a great job. She really manages her time well. My maid of honor and I both felt so beautiful. And she came to my house which made it so much easier for us to get ready! I would definitely use her again in the future for special occasions. And I highly recommend her!
