We had our wedding at the Avenue and can’t thank Nancy, Chris, and Briana enough for all of the work that they did to help us have the wedding of our dreams!

We ended up going with the brunch ceremony and reception on the rooftop lounge. The lounge seating was such a wonderful layout that allowed us to have a more intimate gathering with our guests as opposed to more traditional assigned seating at large dinner tables. As a result, we could more freely move around to talk to our guests, and our guests were able wander around and socialize rather than feeling restricted to remain in assigned seats, which ended up working out very well.

Nancy and Chris were both wonderful to work with! They were very responsive and more than helpful with answering any questions that we had throughout the entire process.

The morning of the wedding, there was a huge downpour and Nancy did everything she could to try to allow us to keep the ceremony out on the rooftop. Unfortunately, it started raining again right as the ceremony was about to start, and Nancy did a wonderful job making sure that everyone and everything was quickly moved inside and underneath the balcony so that the ceremony could begin. Also, Briana did an amazing job making sure that husband and I had everything that we needed throughout the day and that we were well fed. Since we had selected the brunch ceremony and reception, we ended up not having a tasting, but all of the food turned out amazing, and all of the guests were pleased as well!

My husband and I are very happy with our decision to host our wedding at Avenue, and highly recommend it to anyone else!

Avenue did an excellent job on our wedding reception , they are very professional, accommodating , promptly returned calls and were flexible when we needed them to be. Nancy and Chris were checking with my wife and I throughout the reception to make sure everything was going as planned .
Avenue is Top shelf in all aspects and I would highly recommend have your party there.

We are so grateful for Chris, Nancy, and the entire Avenue staff for helping us throughout the entire wedding planning process. We had the best time at our wedding and Avenue provided the most incredible setting for our big day. The outdoor rooftop space was amazing for our ceremony and the entire space was perfect for the style of reception that we wanted. Everything was truly remarkable!

Having our September wedding at the Avenue roof top was amazing and the perfect choice! The view of the ocean was spectacular, the ambiance of our outdoor roof top ceremony was absolutely perfect and the food was complimented by all of our guests! The Avenue Event Manager, Nancy was always accommodating in every way, always helpful, answered ALL of our questions (and we did ask a lot..) and extremely professional. We could not have had our perfect wedding without her! I highly recommend this beautiful venue!

Chris/Nancy and crew were amazing wouldn't have changed a Single thing!!! The attentions to detail, accommodations and professionalism was bespoke.

We had our ceremony and wedding on the rooftop deck and outdoor/indoor area at Avenue and it was simply spectacular. I really can't think of one thing that I would have changed. Nancy and Chris were so easy to work with, always professional and extremely patient and responsive with the questions we had over the months leading up to the wedding about vendors, decor, logistics, etc. Both our photographer and videographer, who had never shot weddings at Avenue, raved about the space, the natural light and what a wonderful wedding it was. Our ceremony on the rooftop deck was intimate, but we also had the spectacular view of the ocean and people enjoying the beach as we were fortunate to have a sunny, gorgeous day. Most importantly, the Avenue team was exceptional and attentive and did everything they could to take care of us and make our day extremely special!

The Avenue did a fantastic job. Nancy, Chris and their team really delivered. Our guests loved the food, venue, the party. A+.

There are weddings, then there was OUR wedding. From the day we booked Avenue, until the wedding day, Nancy and Chris have been the most helpful, attentive, accommodating, and understanding wedding coordinators that we could have ever wanted. It was virtually stress-free working with Avenue. Their professionalism, organization, and suggestions for decor and vendors to make our day special, we were dealing with people who know how to throw a wedding no one will ever forget. They even accommodated my spouse's dietary restrictions (vegan) by creating a specific, delectable, dish for him to enjoy. People at our wedding (about 100 adults, 10 children under 21), all have raved, and continue to rave about how wonderful our wedding was compared to others. Our guests all have wished it was longer, but I believe that makes for a killer wedding, have people wanting more.

We had our wedding at Avenue this past Saturday and the venue was amazing. I was incredibly nervous about the venue, because of its unconventional set up, and because I wanted to be sure my guests were satisfied being as they traveled from North Jersey and beyond to be there. Well, they were beyond impressed and had the time of their lives. The beachfront setting was unbeatable, and as far as the unconventional set up, it could't have worked out better. We had a classy, elegant, and most of all fun wedding with breathtaking views. The staff took such great care of everyone, the food was amazing, and the pictures turned out amazing. My Facebook feed is still filled with pictures friends are posting from that night, from the ocean backdrop, the pool, the beautifully architected bar, all were perfect backdrops.
Advice for brides, make sure the florist you hire is set up in time. The only hiccup we had, which was not Avenue's fault, was that our florist was not done in time. We admittedly had ordered the place fully decorated, with arrangements that turned out stunningly, however, guests had to congregate in the downstairs restaurant bar until the florist was done. This caused our ceremony to be delayed a whole hour, and caused me stress on this special day.
We also wish we had stayed upstairs with our guests for cocktail hour and went around taking pictures then, as they would have turned out beautifully and we would have had more time to talk our guests. Instead I opted to go down to the gazebo for formal pictures with the family members. The gazebo was crowded (beautiful beach day) and had a vendor card set up smack in the middle.
Also, grab your groom for some pictures on the beach at some point in the evening. Those pictures under the boardwalk turned out gorgeous.
That being said, our wedding was the most beautiful and memorable day, not only for us, but also for our guests as well.

The staff at Avenue was wonderful. Chris Toohey was SO accomodating to our every request, especially due to the surprise nature of our wedding (yes it was a surprise!) He put up with all of my many many emails and was always so nice about it. The place looked amazing, the food was a HUGE hit with the guests, the Maitre D Nancy and all the staff were great and everything went flawlessly! Thank you Avenue!

Dream wedding! Chris was absolutely amazing! Bridal assistant Kristen was great! Nancy was also very helpful! Beautiful wedding plus a great atmosphere= a night to remember forever!

I can't thank them enough for everything they had done to make our day so incredible! I'm still getting calls from our friends and family raving about the food, service, and atmosphere... Our Event Manager Lauren really went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and, It was! They exceeded all of our expectations and my wife and I would recommend this venue for your ceremony and reception!

Everyone at The Avenue were amazing! My wife & I could not even begin to describe how above and beyond Nancy, Chris, and everyone was fantastic thru the entire experience from start to finish, they were accommodating, supportive and suggestive on how to make it the best wedding. The food was amazing, the decor was exactly what we expected. We are still getting rave reviews and compliments from friends and family 2 months later. Many saying it was the best wedding they have ever been to, and most of us work in hospitality so we see a lot of weddings!

Minus a few hiccups (my favors weren't put out and a guest told me recently the crab from the raw bar was frozen) the Avenue really delivered us a magical wedding day! We can't say enough about Chris Toohey and Nancy Mascera as they were beyond pleasant, helpful and so willing to work with us on all fronts so they personally get FIVE STARS. We wish we could do it all over again and again! WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TO CONSIDER THE AVENUE. It's been over a month and people are still raving about what a great wedding the they deliver. It's such a casual but oh so classy setting. Our guests absolutely loved the idea of a four hour cocktail reception and all left feeling very full! They also all loved being free of being in an assigned seat all night. We utilized the inside and outside. Guest were enjoying there wine by the outdoor fireplace while others smoked cigars under a beautiful sky! You really can't beat the views and our roof top ceremony was just perfect - a bit chilly because of a sudden temperature drop but we didn't feel a thing! After the ceremony we simply went downstairs onto the boardwalk and then onto the beach for pictures (so no traveling) then went right back upstairs and got our party started. You can't go wrong booking this venue. We already booked the Bungalow Hotel for our one year anniversary and plan to eat at the Avenue for dinner!

My husband and I got married on a Friday night this past September on the second-floor roof deck and lounge at Avenue. From start to finish, Chris Toohey and Nancy Mascera made our wedding amazing! They both expertly guided us through the entire process, and accommodated our many questions.

The venue was perfect for our evening ceremony and reception. The outdoor roof deck area overlooks the ocean, and was set up perfectly for our ceremony. The transitional area with comfy chairs and an outdoor fireplace were wonderful, as was the indoor space, complete with a dedicated elevator, bathrooms, and bar. We had 110 guests for a dinner cocktail reception, and there was a perfect amount of space for guests to mingle.

The food was amazing, with an extensive selection of high-end apps, small plates, and entrees to choose from. Our vegan friend said her custom made entree was outstanding. All our guests raved about the food, including the short rib with polenta and branzino we selected.

Chris and Nancy worked seamlessly with our vendors to create the perfect wedding. If I had to do it all over again, I would do it exactly the same way.

My husband and I recently had our wedding at Avenue. When we had decided to include Avenue in our list of places to visit it was not our first choice, however after seeing it in person, we were in love with the ocean front location and the modern, contemporary atmosphere of this venue - not to mention the food is amazing! We had our ceremony on the deck overlooking the ocean with a cocktail reception inside/outside immediately after. Even when it stormed halfway through our reception, our ~70 guests were still comfortable and able to enjoy themselves inside. We had worked with Nancy throughout our planning, and she was extremely helpful, responsive and attentive. There were a couple of little snags that came up throughout the day, but nothing that I felt was significant enough to detract from our's and our guest's experience. Overall, we were extremely pleased with Avenue and received tons of compliments from our guests on what an unique and amazing time they had.

This spot is a truly beautiful place to showcase the ocean and still have your wedding in a hip, trendy and casual setting. The food is FANTASTIC and service is wonderful! We held our wedding in the club upstairs for cocktail reception and it was an incredibly fun and relaxed evening of nonstop food drinks and dancing. GORGEOUS for pictures.

The Avenue gave us the wedding of our dreams. From the start we wanted to have something a bit different from the traditional sit down banquet hall receptions. When we saw the ocean view from the roof top and the great layout, we were sold. We never even saw any other venues! I was planning the wedding from San Francisco and Nancy and Chris were very accommodating and helpful throughout the whole thing, even working with my mom at some points to make arrangements. The palm trees and setting and lanterns played perfectly into our Tropical Garden Party theme and having the ceremony on the rooftop with the sounds of the waves was unforgettable. Also, the price was much more accommodating (especially for a Saturday wedding) as they didn't have any guest minimums and only have a room fee that is waived once you reach a certain dollar amount (can be for people OR food/add-ons!). We had the most perfect 80 degree day (which is no easy feat in June) and although it was a little hot during the ceremony (at 3:30pm), the sunset was amazing. They even let us do a sparkler send-off! So many of our guests said it was the best and coolest wedding they'd ever been to. Many of them couldn't stop talking about how when they got off the elevator they were immediately greeted with a glass of champagne and then crazy ocean views. The food was delicious as well (seriously GET THE SHORT RIB & MAC & CHEESE!!) and our guests loved the open bar. Thanks for everything!

Avenue was an amazing venue and everything was just perfect. They were very professional and the food was top notch!

There is not a more beautiful venue than Avenue. Chris was absolutely amazing and so attentive and I loved working with him. The laid back feel and lack of organized seating was just what we were looking for. We had a few hiccups as there was no working microphone and we were informed 23 hours before the wedding that we could not have the beach ceremony we dreamed of, though the roof top deck ended up being lovely. We had the Monte Carlo package, but we added an extra hour, which I would strongly recommend since it felt like everything was over in the blink of an eye. The complimentary room at the Bungalow was amazing, and the chef was so accommodating of my very tricky garlic allergy. The access to the bridal suite was brief but accommodated our needs. Adding on valet parking was also a great opportunity for my guests. The dessert bar was to die for!!!! I have been in such bliss that I keep telling my bridal party I want to renew my vows again on a future anniversary just to experience the venue again!

Everything about our wedding at Avenue was amazing - the food, the decor, the atmosphere... I knew from the first time we went there that it was PERFECT for us. The communication with the staff during the planning phase was good... there was sometimes a delay in responses, but I always assumed it was because they had other weddings that were before ours, and they were the priority (as they SHOULD be!). We ended up having to switch day-of coordinators a few times, but the transition was pretty seamless (altho no one told us that the girl I was originally working with left - I didn't find out until I emailed her one day and was sent an auto-reply saying she was gone. Slight panic for a moment!).

All of the staff on the day-of was great - polite, professional, and always making sure me and my husband had a drink in hand and something to eat (even accommodating my picky vegetarian diet). The bridal suite was in a slightly odd location - kind of stuffed in between floors - and I had to climb over tables, chairs, etc in a storage area (the beach club locker rooms, during the summer season) to use the bathroom before the ceremony, which was odd, but no big deal. I was also slightly disappointed when we were told that me and my husband, and a few friends couldn't get in to the club/bar once it opened to the public after the wedding, because it was "VIP only" (I guess having a wedding there doesn't entitle one to VIP status for the day? :) ). That policy must have been enacted sometime AFTER we booked the venue, because originally we were told as long as we left the club for a half hour after the reception ended so they could clean up, we could then go back upstairs at 10pm when the club/bar opened to the public. They eventually DID let us back up, though, so all was good. :)

The only major complaint would be the fact that they "forgot" we requested valet parking. I had included a note on our invites and our website stating that complimentary valet parking would be available, and it wasn't until most of our guests had arrived (and someone mentioned it to my husband) that they finally sent someone outside to valet. The parking at Pier Village is a nightmare, esp on a Saturday night in May, so I felt TERRIBLE that my guests had to drive around, pay for valet, and/or walk great distances, after assuring them they wouldn't have to. The ceremony even started a little late because so many people couldn't find parking. Anyway, that aside, everything else was fantastic and if I had to do it all over, I would still choose Avenue as our venue without even a second thought! The year leading up to my wedding, I can't say enough nice things about the wedding coordinator. Very responsive and helpful. Unfortunately, the week leading up to my wedding did not go smoothly. The biggest issue was in the use of a tent for my beach wedding. Even though I was told renting a tent and having it constructed on the beach was not a problem and was even encouraged. When I contacted the venue and asked when the tent company could set it up, they made things very difficult. At the last minute, I was able to get the tent, but because of the delay, I had to pay an additional fee. Also, even though I was told there was a bridal suite, it wasn't set up. In fact the day of my wedding, it was still being used as a storage room. Very uncomfortable and upsetting to not have a nice room to stay in while waiting for the ceremony to start as I was originally promised. And the beach party area was not set up as I envisioned even though I discussed what I expected many times over the year leading up to my wedding. The food was excellent though.
