Incredible

Paul and his videographer Adam were an amazing team. Paul did both our engagement shoot and wedding day, and he made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. He made all the photoshoots fun with his sense of humor and he has a wonderful command of lighting/space to create beautiful pictures. We loved all of our photos and wish he could document all of our life events. He was also very easy to communicate with in the months leading up to the wedding.

Adam's videos from our wedding day were so thoughtfully and creatively made, and we've been so happy to be able to relive the special day thanks to his work.

Would 100% recommend BOM Photography!

Simply the best!

I literally cannot say enough good things about Paul. We hired him for our wedding, but ended up meeting him months sooner for our engagement shoot that came included in our already incredible price for photo + video. We had met with so many photographers and never connected and I randomly found Paul on Google and we instantly knew we wanted to work with him. First, he was so responsive and flexible with dates/times... even let me change the engagement shoot to a completely different day. He made the whole time so fun, listened to us & we did not feel forced at all to pose in any way. I am not exaggerating when I say I was BLOWN away by the results. Even people I know in the industry could not give me enough compliments on how these gorgeous photos turned out. I had a vision and he exceeded every expectation. Unfortunately, four months before my wedding my venue abruptly closed and our wedding was canceled. It was not enough time to re-plan the whole thing so we chose to elope, and Paul even made that process stress-free. He is the only vendor that did 100% right by us - even going beyond what he had to. I will work with Paul again for sure. DO NOT LOOK ANY FURTHER if you're looking for a photographer and book him now!!

An incredible team!

Paul and his team (Adam, Jean, Andrew) were absolutely incredible to work with. With all the uncertainty surrounding COVID weddings, we really appreciated how communicative Paul was. During the planning phase, Paul was great about answering all of our (many) questions and offering advice and honest opinions. He had us fill out a worksheet that had us think about our vision, what shots were important to us, and other details. For the big day, we had a pretty convoluted timeline (and it rained the entire day), but the whole team still made sure to get all the small & special shots we wanted, as well as some cool creative shots in the rain. We are not huge camera people, and he made us & our wedding party feel very at-ease and was great about posing us naturally. We also conveyed that we wanted a more natural & candid style, which he accommodated and captured 100%. We received our photos within a reasonable amount of time- they look amazing, and they also took more than we had anticipated. Our wedding videos also came out great and did an amazing job capturing the important parts of the night. In addition to all of this, we felt the pricing for combined photo + video was quite reasonable. My husband and I are so happy to have chosen BOM Photography!

Fun, Professional, Detail Oriented Photographers/ Videographers!!!

From the moment we met Paul for our initial consultation, we knew that him and his team would capture the best memories that didn’t feel or look staged. Little did we know, him and his team far exceeded everything we imagined. We booked Paul with two photographers, two videographers, and someone to help manage their photo booth. Paul was very responsive to emails/ phone calls and any questions we had leading up to the wedding. They arrived on time to the hotel to begin taking getting ready photos/ footage. During that time his entire team was very professional and gave us a lot of pointers on how to sit/ adjust our bodies to get the best angles. Our bridal party agreed that his team didn’t feel intrusive, paid attention to detail, and was very attentive/ patient in helping everyone get the perfect shot. A bonus was his entire team we’re all so funny and brought good vibes, while being extremely efficient and detail oriented. When we were taking family photos Paul and Beth were able to help organize our family members with ease even though many members didn’t speak English. For our traditional Chinese tea ceremony, Paul and his team were quick and able to pick up on the little details and reactions for the videos and photos, which we will both will cherish forever. Another example of Paul’s dedication and having a good eye was for our garden shots, he was literally laying prone on the ground! That photo is one of our absolute favorites because the background naturally framed us. We received our videos and photos shortly after our wedding date and the photos are all very natural and doesn’t look overly processed. Everyone we’ve shown the videos/ photos to all rave about how amazing it looks and asks for their contact information. If you want a team who are professional, efficient, organized, and pays close attention on detail, then we highly recommend Paul and his team as your photographers/ videographers and photo booth!!

My husband and I got married in June 2018 and Bom photography captured our wedding day. If you're looking for wedding photographers, look no further and book now if he's available. I first met Paul with my mother- he was highly professional, showed sample albums, talked about his style and approach to photography, and explained the whole process thoroughly and patiently (in English with me since I'm more fluent in English and also in Korean with my mother who is more comfortable with Korean). He was also very gracious about adjusting the plans to meet my budget. Communicating with him was easy throughout. The day of wedding, he and his associate made it so effortless AND FUN for everyone (me, husband, family, wedding party) to pose for the camera. He really knew how to use the lighting in the environment (inside and outdoors), background, angles, and so on to capture the most precious moments. He and his associate also went around our venue to find the most beautiful places. They helped everyone feel comfortable and gave quick posing tips throughout. The execution was beyond perfect. Everyone was highly impressed by their professionalism and talent. Our parents could not stop raving about them. The only difficult thing has been picking photos for our album out of +1000 amazing photos. THANK YOU!

Paul and Caylena were a pleasure to work with on my wedding day (9/2/17). Paul was highly recommended to me by another wedding photographer. After interviewing over 80 photographers, I went Bōm Photography since I was liked Paul's vision and artistic style. I appreciated his very prompt, courteous and professional demeanor. Very accommodating and fulfilled our needs beyond expectation. I did not intend to go with a Korean speaking photographer but it helped out so much especially with many of my family and parents' friends. Paul and Caylena worked well with the crowds and giving direction without it seeming awkward or intrusive. Very patient when dealing with some dramatic family members too. Was helpful when drawing out the day's timeline and answered lots of questions I had. I was very happy with my decision to go with Paul and his team. I can't wait to see the pics!

Hiring Paul was hands down the BEST wedding vendor decision that we made. We first hired Bom Photography to do our engagement photos after I saw his work on a coworker's wedding. My husband and I are not the most social media savvy/photogenic people, but he was incredibly verbose and patient as he directed us into the most flattering poses for our photos. We were thrilled with our engagement shots and got so many compliments on our wedding website and save the dates - multiple brides-to-be at my office asked for Paul's contact information. We of course hired Paul for our wedding. In advance of the day, we asked him to do a full walk-through of the wedding with us because we knew it would be a chaotic day - the church ceremony was in downtown NYC, we had 16 people in our bridal party and over 220 guests, and the reception was in Jersey City. Paul not only was willing to do the walk-through with us, but he made helpful suggestions about our timeline and showed us additional spots where we could take great photos. He had to deal with the sweltering August heat, multiple site locations, and a multicultural wedding party that probably made lighting each shot pretty difficult. However, Paul was always up to the challenge and expressed nothing but enthusiasm about being a part of our wedding day. He also collaborated very well with our videographer.

Paul and his assistant were so calm and cheerful on our big day, and once we were done with formal portrait shots, I honestly did not notice them. They blended into the wedding and got amazing, touching shots of us and our family/friends in a candid, photojournalistic style. I don't have enough words to thank Paul for how perfectly he captured our wedding day and how much time he must have put into editing the hundreds of wedding photos he just sent to us. I'd absolutely recommend Bom Photography to any bride-to-be in the NYC/NJ area!

Paul's work is awesome. He's an excellent photographer. We contacted him by email and then we found him at Brooklyn to do out engagement session at Broklyn Bridge.
He explained us every detail so that photos were the best possible. It was very fun the time we spent doing photos. After a few weeks he sent us 320 photos and that really exceeded our expectations.

We met with Paul and Sumee from BOM over the summer last year to discuss their offerings and to get to know them better. They're a husband and wife duo and absolutely the sweetest people I've met throughout my experience with interviewing different vendors. They listen to your thoughts and work with you without being pushy.

My fiance and I just had our engagement shoot at the Museum of Natural History and it was such a great experience! Paul was so thorough during the whole process and saw great opportunities for photos where we least expected it. Although at the time we felt some of our poses were super cheesy, they came out BEAUTIFULLY in the photos! It was truly a wonderful surprise. Just look through their Instagram or Facebook and you'll see the beautiful shots they've taken of countless couples. There's even other photographers who have imitated Paul's work shot for shot from our engagement session.

Fast forward in time, Paul and his assistant showed up early on my wedding day and immediately began working. They made sure to test out some shots, work with the lighting, and introduce themselves to everyone. They were patient with the changes in schedule, the chaos with the wedding party, and getting us all organized for the photos. They stayed till the very end of the wedding day and kept their energy up the entire time. I truly loved working with Paul and will continue to find reasons to work with him. If you're looking for a reliable, professional, creative, and all around amazing photographer, Paul Kim is definitely the person.

Working with Paul was so much fun! I found Bom Photography on Instagram. I fell in love with the silhouette pictures and how he plays with lighting. Paul is so knowledgeable. We did our engagement pictures with him in October. We did some pictures in Central Park. The sun was shining and the moments he captured are stunning; light and soft. We then went to Dumbo and took pictures with the city lights behind us. The pictures came out so amazing; they are striking and bold. It was so nice to have such a variety of pictures from just a few hours of shooting. Afterwards, we were so excited to shoot with him at our July wedding. We were in constant contact and Paul was always very responsive and flexible. We asked him to experiment with us and try doing smoke bombs with some photos on our wedding day and we were so happy he was willing to try it. Everyone loved Paul, he is easy to work with and fun to be around. My bridal party couldn't believe how willing he was to lay on the floor, grass, or dirt in order to get the best picture. We cannot wait to see our pictures because we are so confident they will be stunning. He turns the most simple moments, like a group of people smoking cigars, into a masterpiece. We cannot say enough about Bom Photography. Simply the best! We also really loved that nothing was forced. He didn't make us re-create moments or force us to show emotions. Everything is very candid and our pictures are real. For most of the night we didn't even know he was there after taking formal pictures. I hear of many brides spending their whole wedding taking pictures. We were happy to have a good balance and were so thrilled with our experience with Bom Photography!

We used Bom Photography for our wedding this past Friday. From the moment that we met Paul and Sumee and checked out their portfolio, we knew we wanted to hire them to capture our big day. Paul is super detail oriented and responsive to all questions and requests. I can't say enough good things about them.

The day of the wedding, Paul and Hanel shot the entire day. They're super friendly, funny, and put up with our shenanigans, so for that they get an extra star, but you can't give 6 stars apparently.

Check out their portfolio and work. The attention to detail and editing is amazing, clean, soft, and really tells a story.

Loved their professionalism, personality, and love of their craft.

We booked with BOM for both engagement and wedding photos. Paul and his wife were absolutely, 100% professional and great throughout the entire process. We were introduced to them through our friends, who also book with BOM for their engagement and weddings photos. They were very easy going, flexible and extremely accommodating to our needs. Although it was only for a brief period of time that we had a chance to work with both Paul and his wife, we were able to see how talented these two individuals are so we were able to fully trust them for the best quality photos. Bom Photography is phenomenal at capturing the moment. We found them while doing research on wedding venues and was blown away by their creativity and attention to detail. My husband and I love their hands off approach at capturing genuine interactions rather than staging photos. Paul and Sumee are a beautiful couple themselves and a pleasure to work with. We are incredibly fortunate to be the clients of BoM photography. Ever since seeing Paul’s work we knew that this was the team that we wanted to cover our wedding. It was really difficult to find a photographer for our wedding because we are incredibly picky, and I dabble in amateur photography, so I have incredibly high standards for both composition and technical execution. However, Paul’s work speaks for itself, but it also tells a story. The photographs move you, they elicit an emotional response and show you something that likely escaped your eye on the magical day. Paul’s photographs are unique, his technique is flawless, and his creativity is unparalleled. He captured moments that happened in a millisecond and such moments made all the difference. BoM photography is a husband and wife team and both were incredibly easy to work with. They are also incredibly likeable, polite, professional and obviously passionate about their craft. The engagement shoot with them was a lot of fun and we noticed how quickly Paul uses the environment around him to capture something truly original. On the wedding day, they were there early and left late. I felt like they did not stop shooting the entire time that they were there. In the end we got photographs that were beautifully edited, and captured our special day in all its glory. The editing is incredibly detail oriented. Each photograph (1700 total) was edited with meticulousness and care. It is probably the only time that I see a photograph and do not have a craving to start editing the image in RAW. They are this good.

If we can rate it as a 6.0 we would. Bom Photography was more than we could ask for!. Paul, Sumee and Hanel were amazing. it goes without saying that theyare the best around. All our guests inquired about their services & raved about the professionalism, We highly recommend them! At our first meeting we hit it off with Paul & Sumee. They were committed to this event, listened to our many wants, & put a package that met our needs.

My daughter's wedding day was an even better experience! Paul was great with everyone from our parents to our flower girl While he took so many photos he was discreet which allowed him to capture candid moments. The photos captured so many different aspects of the day. One of our requests was not to block the view of the guests during the church ceremony, and you couldn't even tell they were present. We have only seen some sneak peek photos, and those we LOVED.... we know that the final product will be amazing. And we are sure to continue to use Bom Photography for as long as we need special moments captured!

Paul & Sumee really blended in with our guests, they were very accommodating of any requests all day long, like the aunt we forgot or the funny picture, etc. If it wasn't for them we probably would have missed many of the special touches around for us to see. The bride (my daughter) and groom actually told me that thye actually enjoyed the photo sessions. They didn't feel pulled in all directions. Being the perfectionist that I am, & I know I usually hover around making sure everything is done to my liking & every minute detail, I found myself not even worrying because I saw first hand how wonderful their team works.

I would highly recommend Bom Photography!! The entire experience working with Paul was seamless, highly professional, and truly a pleasure! On your wedding day, your photographer spends so much time with you. Paul made us feel comfortable from the moment we met him.

In our initial meeting, we immediately "hit it off" with Paul. He was genuinely passionate about photography, listened to our wants, and put together a package that met our needs. Next, we did an engagement photo. On that day, we knew we made the right choice! It didn't at all feel like we were doing a photoshoot - more like we were hanging out and a new friend happened to be along with a camera. However, the best part was the photos looked great!

Our wedding day was an even better experience! Paul was great with everyone from our parents to our flower girl and ring bearer!! While he took so many photos he was discreet which allowed him to capture candid moments. The photos capture how happy we were and our guests on our wedding day.

Paul & Sumee are the best! My sister & BIL found them for their wedding in 2011, and after their experience my husband and I just knew that we wanted to work with them again. Paul was extremely responsive all along the way, and as repeat customers gave us an amazing package that was super competitive, including a discount on their photobooth services (OShoot Photobooth). I'm still amazed that I was able to get such an amazing photographer AND photobooth service for the price.
Apart from being affordable, Paul and Sumee were wonderful to work with. They are both so kind and just have a wonderful energy about them, so you are always relaxed. They did a great job with our engagement session in Central Park, and even helped us incorporate our dog! (Not the easiest task as she is quite big). We also received the engagement photos very quickly. I haven't seen the photos from our wedding yet, but I don't doubt that they are absolutely beautiful. Paul & his team are excellent at being able to capture moments without being intrusivel, and he also coaches well for portraits/poses so that you get the best shots possible.
We have recommended Bōm Photography to lots of friends for all sorts of events, and everyone has always been very pleased. I plan to use their services for all of my professional photography needs in the future.

Wow. Paul and Sumee (his wife and partner) captured our wedding day more beautifully than we could have imagined. If you're looking for a photography team in the North/Central NJ area, this is it. We were planning our wedding from out of state and Paul was extremely responsive to every e-mail and easy to communicate with. We were impressed with his online portfolio and after contacting him we were quoted a very reasonable price. Paul was very helpful in helping us organize the timeline of our wedding day, helping us to find that balance between getting enough photos and spending time with our guests.

We chose to do the "First Look", which resulted in a memorable, personal experience for my husband and I, and also intimate photos that captured our emotions. We were then able to take our time taking photos together before guests arrived, and thus allowed us more time to spend with guests after the ceremony.
Before the ceremony, Paul found a great balance of directing posed photos around the venue, and capturing raw emotions while we got ready. During the ceremony, the team was positioned perfectly so as to not intrude in the ceremony at all but also capture the smiles and tears.
Throughout the reception the pair conducted an approach that made us almost forget they were there, but all the while capturing every moment.

At this point we have the digital copies of photos and are blown away by the results. Friends and family have commented that the photos look like they came from a magazine. We are so pleased with how stunning and professional our photos look, and are having a really difficult time narrowing down our favorites for the album!

You are reading this review because you want to know if BOM Photography is worth your hard earned money. It most certainly is and let me tell you why.

I looked at many reviews and portfolios of photographers in hopes of finding one to capture our most special of days. I immediately saw creativity, emotion and skill in BOM’s photography that was not present in others.

I made contact with Paul and Sumee, a husband and wife team, and we arranged to meet with and discuss our photography needs. We were working within a budget and BOM was accommodating and able to tailor a package for us. Quickly impressed, we soon booked BOM to shoot our wedding.

Paul and I corresponded with each other periodically during the months leading up to our wedding. He was always professional, responsive and involved. We were provided with client-side access to his website, where all are documents were readily available. He also provided a template for a wedding timeline, which was very helpful to us.

The day of the wedding, Paul and his assistant photographer were fantastic! They were professional, eager, and diligent. Not only a pleasure to work with, but they also worked well with the other vendors at the venue. BOM Photography kept a low profile and adeptly adapted to any changes.

The quality of photography speaks for itself, BOM Photography succeeded in expressing something intangible...the essence of our wedding day. My spouse and I treasure these photographs as tangible keepsakes that we will love for the rest of our lives. Most certainly, money was well spent! BOM Photography is definitely the best!!!

Paul and Sumee from Bom Photography are extremely talented and an absolute pleasure to work with! We hired them for both our engagement and wedding photos. We were looking for a mix of artistic and photojournalistic styles and were very impressed with Paul’s portfolio on his website. We already knew Paul was a skilled photographer from his photos online, but meeting him in person sealed the deal – he was very friendly and knowledgeable, and we knew he would help us feel relaxed and have fun in front of the camera.

For our engagement shoot, Paul and Sumee drove down to Philadelphia and arrived early to scope out our locations. It turned out that there was an event at our location, and we worried about the crowds of people. However, Paul and Sumee worked the situation to their advantage, and we ended up with fantastic pictures! They helped us feel comfortable in front of the camera and gave instructions on how to pose without being imposing at all.

Paul and Sumee drove up to Boston for our wedding. They were dressed professionally, and went with the flow of the ceremony and reception. They were able to capture our special day from every angle. Both our ceremony and reception were indoors without much natural lighting, so we were slightly concerned about how the pictures might come out, but again, Paul worked his magic, and the pictures came out absolutely beautiful.

We had a great time working with Paul and Sumee. Paul has a brilliant artistic eye that allows him to work with the surroundings to create the best pictures. Going through our engagement and wedding pictures for the first time, we were constantly surprised at the creative angles from which they took the pictures. Paul and Sumee are a newly married husband and wife team. They work so well together and made all of our photo sessions very comfortable. They traveled to Boston for our engagement photo shoot and guided us through the whole thing. They worked together during our wedding day to capture every moment from different angles. They definitely go above and beyond and do their best to accommodate all special requests. Their packages are such a great value with the service they provide. Also, they will probably be the nicest vendor you meet throughout the wedding process.

Paul and the entire team at Bom Photography were absolutely amazing! I am a lover of photography and am usually very picky about the way/style I like my photos. My husband and I were also on somewhat of a budget but Paul worked with us so well. He and his team went above and beyond during BOTH our engagement session shoot as well as during our wedding. How often would you find a photographer willing to dirty his nice attire in order to take a photo? Paul did. Everyone is talking about how spectacular and creative our photos are. His work is amazing and he just makes you feel like yourself and at ease. My husband can be somewhat shy but he did not have any problems working with Paul at all. Loved working with Bom!! Keep up the great work guys!! :)
