  Best Day Ever!

  From the moment I walked into Bodega Victoriana I knew it was the place for us to be married. Brenda and Doug, the owners, are lovely people and made the planning process simple. Brenda is incredibly gracious and was quick to answer questions (I had a lot in the month leading up to the wedding)! Their staff is also very friendly and helpful. I appreciate that they handled the vendors the day of so that I didn’t have to worry about the cake, flowers, etc. being on time. In addition to being a gorgeous venue, the wine is great! We have been here multiple times just for that and for tapas and have never been disappointed - everything is always delicious. I love that we will be able to go back here in the future, whether it’s for an anniversary or just because. We highly recommend Bodega Victoriana - it was a beautiful experience.

  Amazing! I would recommend this venue for ANYONE. Such a classy/rustic/chic look that I’ve always dreamed of having since I was a little girl.

  The beat service and it was such a beautiful venue!! The ceremony was a dream come true and the RECEPTION 😍😍 the owners are sooo great and will do anything to make your day special.

  Could not have been better!

  Wow, after having a venue drop out with 3 weeks left till our wedding, Bodegas came through for us big time! Everything was great from start to finish and the we feel the owners are like family now after all of this! Beautiful venue and wonderful staff that went above and beyond to make sure our day went according to plan. We cannot say enough good things about this place and plan to spend our anniversary here every year!

  Exeeded Expectations!

  We had wanted to have our wedding in a vineyard setting, and were starting to look at other options since we couldn't seem to find one within budget, distance, timeframe, etc. Planning our wedding within about a 4-month window, we were starting to consider other options, and Bodega came up! We couldn't have wished for a better venue! Doug and Brenda were very accommodating, and felt almost like family by the end of our wedding! I sent multiple emails/communication on their days off, expecting to hear back during working hours, but they responded generally within the same day! (and were very understanding and patient with the rush and last-minute details!) The location is beautiful! It was a little bit of a distance being in the country, but would not have been able to have the feel we wanted if it wasn't, either. We received so many positive comments and compliments, and a few of our guests considered holding their wedding or other event there, too! It is hard to rate most things as perfect, but Bodega definitely was, and far exceeded our expectations!!

  Amazing venue!

  My husband and I got married here on 6/08/2019 and had the BEST day of our lives!! From the moment we contacted Doug and Brenda to set up a meeting to see the venue, they were nothing but wonderful! They answered all of our questions and were happy to talk with us even when we would just stop by! Our wedding went off without a hitch and all my guest commented on the beauty of the venue and how delicious the wine was. I would recommend Bodega a thousand times over!

  Amazing Venue

  Brenda and Doug could not have been more amazing to work with. They were very accommodating to all of our needs, from changing the date of our wedding, helping set up the reception, to every other need I had. Brenda went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed, and made suggestions on how to set things up. They went above and beyond what I expected from a venue. She even let us borrow some of her things from the winery that we forgot at home.
  
  The winery is absolutely beautiful. You will not need to do a lot of decorating, which is very nice if you are on a budget. The building itself is so beautiful. We only had a few decorations here and there and centerpieces. Everyone at the reception could not stop talking about how beautiful the venue was.
  
  We had to use the restored barn for our ceremony instead of outside due to rain (which I was hesitant, maybe a little whiny about at first) but once I saw it set up, I couldn't have been happier. The barn is very charming. (if you love barns like I do).
  
  I would highly recommend using this location for your wedding!!!! They made our wedding more amazing than I imagined.

  Awesome venue in the Metro Area!!!

  My daughter & son in law were married here the beginning of September 2018. The venue is beautiful, we were able to get a caterer of our choice. Doug & Brenda were so awesome to work with and had a lot of helpful suggestions. We were able to bring in several props for the wedding ceremony (reveal doors) and donut board for the reception with out any problem. We rented it for the entire weekend which proved to be the best option for us, as far as setting and and clean up. We want to say Thank You to Doug & Brenda for making the kids day the best it could of ever been. Curt & Sandy

  My husband and I really enjoyed working with Doug and Brenda! From the first day we went to the winery to the day of our wedding, they were accommodating, attentive, and just lovely to work with! Not only were they professionally excellent, but since we found out about Bodega Victoriana, we have visited multiple times simply to enjoy their company and their wine! My husband and I love knowing that we can revisit this place, a place where we celebrated our love! In addition to appreciating the time and efforts of Doug and Brenda, we also have to emphasis how perfect it was to have our ceremony in such a lovely setting, a gorgeous green backdrop laced with grapevines, and how fantastic it was to have our reception and dance in that rustic, yet elegant barn! We continue to be thankful for our decision to have our wedding at Bodega Victoriana!

  Brenda and Dave are great to work with. It is a wonderful venue for a wedding...absolutely beautiful and serene. The wines are great and the facilities top notch.

  We had our wedding here in October of 2016! The wedding barn is gorgeous and I love how it doesn't look like a traditional wedding hall - it makes for beautiful photos! We booked the entire weekend and it was well worth it for decorating and clean up! I have two pieces of advice after booking this venue. First, when drawing the layout for the wedding on the form they provide, make sure you have every item labeled so when the owners help with set up they know where things go. This doesn't matter if you book one day or the entire weekend. Label label label! Second, spend some extra money and provide a shuttle for your guests! We did this, and I feel like people stayed longer and enjoyed themselves a little more because they didn't have to worry about the drive back into town. The owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating the day of the wedding. We couldn't be happier with this venue and we love supporting local veteran owned businesses.

  Bodega Victoriana was a dream come true for my husband and I. We got married on Sept 30, 2016. We had been searching for a winery with indoor and outdoor space. Bodega gave us a beautiful setting, but also allowed us to make our wedding our own. We fell in love with Doug and Brenda from our first visit. They were so helpful and made us feel like family. We got tons of compliments on our venue from our wedding guests, and other vendors we used as well. Beautiful venue with a beautiful family of owners!!

  Beautiful spot with tons of parking and great places for pictures! The Bodega was definitely worth the money! The owners are wonderful and so accommodating! I would recommend this venue without out any trepidation!
  My only complaint was That I thought it would be a nice touch for the bride and groom to receive a bottle of wine from the winery. Everything else was amazing!!!

  The fact that you can come back every year for your anniversary and celebrate with a bottle of wine is what sold us on this venue. It is not a hall that you rent out for one day. It is a place that you can go and relax any time you want with friends and family. The venue itself is gorgeous, and does not need a lot of decorations to wow people, and the owners are the nicest people to work with. If I could suggest anywhere in the Iowa/Nebraska area to get married, it would be Bodega Victoriana Winery!

  Celebrating our daughter's wedding at Bodega Victoriana was truly wonderful. Doug and Brenda were very gracious hosts who answered my numerous questions quickly and with sincere interest for a well-planned event. Brenda had provided us with several vendors whom we booked, and Doug was so at-ease and generous with his offers. He was like family. The tapas offered post- ceremony were another highlight. Numerous guests commented on the variety of offerings, and the children were kept satisfied. All members of the staff at Bodega were pleasant to work with and friendly! It was obvious that they cared about MaryBeth and Brandon having the "Best Day Ever!' as MaryBeth has posted.

  We had our wedding at this beautiful venue last week. The owners were so helpful throughout our planning process. Everything looked absolutely perfect and they were so great to work with! Doug and Brenda are the best! We highly recommend this venue to any other couples looking for a beautiful, country setting!

  Bodega Victoriana is an amazing venue with amazing scenery, but it's best features are the owners Doug and Brenda Grave. They are so sincere and accommodating. You'll feel so at home you won't want to leave.

  We used Bodega Victoriana for our reception venue following our out of state wedding ceremony. Doug and Brenda are just the sweetest people and a joy to work with. Everyone commented about how beautiful the venue was. Definitely would recommend!

  Beautiful Venue

  Not only is the barn beautiful there is a great tasting wine for everyone to enjoy.
  
  Brenda and Doug are so sweet and fun. We have gotten to know them over the years with our many visits to the winery. They make it even better with the feel of family when we visit.
  
  So why not have a wedding here? Thats exactly what we did last night. It was PERFECT. So many options depending on the weather, all of them good.
  
  Thank you so much Doug and Brenda for everything, we absolutely love coming to visit you two and Coco.

  Doug and Brenda, the owners, are still pretty new to the wedding industry or so it seems. They were very unorganized through the majority of our planning process and for the first several times we would go out to visit the venue they had no idea who we were. We were quoted one price when I was first looking at venues and then charged a different price. I think they just needed to get a few weddings under their belt to work out the kinks. It is a gorgeous venue and the perfect location.

  Brenda and I are very sorry we did not meet your expectations back in January. Back then we were still trying to complete the construction on the barn and were not even open for business at that time. You are right we were quite new to the wedding industry and were not really prepared to start taking bookings but we had so many people wanting to book that we made our best attempt at the time. In regards to the change in pricing, back then we were offering the first five couples that booked with us an introductory price. Once those five were booked we went back to our normal pricing so it is likely that once you decided to book we had already filled our quota. We are pleased that despite our failings you still decided to book with us. We look forward to your wedding in a couple weeks and it is our sincere desire to make your special day perfect!

  My husband and I were married at Bodega in fall of 2017. We had picked the venue because of the beautiful outdoor ceremony space, rustic and open reception barn, elevator access, tasty wine and the ability to bring in our own vendors (food, DJ, photographer). While our special day was beautiful, the coordination day of by owners Doug & Brenda was far from tasteful.
  
  They seemed completely unprepared for the scale of weddings they were taking on and inappropriately took their stress and frustration out on us. From blaming us for damages to the barn in the middle of our wedding reception to claiming we were stealing the pumpkins we brought into the venue as decoration… their attitude towards us was highly unprofessional.
  
  At one point when loading out the final boxes, my brother was using the stairs outside the main entrance, which were still damp and muddy from the earlier rain. He slipped going down the stairs and grabbed for the railing, the railing broke and my brother fell down. Instead of asking if he was okay, Brenda shouted, “What did you do?” Thankfully, my brother was not hurt but any one of their patrons or my guests could have been hurt walking down those stairs with such an unstable railing.
  
  Looking back our day was beautiful but we do wish the venue had not tarnished the experience.

  Hi Megan, Brenda and I are very surprised by your review. We are disappointed that the minor issues you mention have negatively affected your opinion of us. As far as the pumpkins, we had a lot of pumpkins in addition to the ones you brought in. When your helpers were packing up they took ours as well as yours. This frequently happens during clean up as helpers don't realize what belongs to the venue and what belongs to the wedding couple. We simply let them know that some of the pumpkins were ours. We know you were unhappy about our choice of timing of when we told you about the damage caused to our barn door. We have had hundreds of weddings here and have not had any damage occur until your wedding where significant damage occurred in 2 separate areas. So we had no experience with having to tell a couple that damage had occurred for which they were liable. After your husband communicated with us via email how disturbed you were with us about telling you about the damage we decided not to hold you liable and we absorbed the nearly $1000 cost to make the repairs. I don't know many venues that would have been that forgiving. We also think your anger is misplaced. If your photographer had owned up to what he did and had told us about it we would have never even had to talk to you. We are glad that you recognize your special day was beautiful and we know the work that went into making it that way. If you in good conscious think we deserve this review than we have no choice but to accept it.
