We had my sons wedding at Burl in September. They were so friendly and accommodating to work with. The views of the golf course were beautiful, the room had windows going around on two walls. The bar was set up outside which worked out perfect. Guests loved sitting outside with the firepits going and twinkle lights. We were extremely pleased with the whole experience at Burl Oaks. I highly recommend this venue. We sat 120 for dinner and had about 20 more people come for the after party.We had my sons wedding at Burl in September. My husband and I got married at Burl Oaks Golf Club on June 24th 2017. Choosing Burl Oaks as our venue was hands down the best decision we made. When we first visited, we fell in love with the beautiful ballroom and the gorgeous grounds outside. Jovana (who was the event coordinator at Burl Oaks when we booked) and Steph (the catering manager) really sold us on the level of service that they provided for weddings. When we learned Jovana was moving on from Burl Oaks, we were very disappointed but, we then met Abby! Abby was hired to fill Jovana's position soon after Jovanna left.
I just can't say enough wonderful things about Abby and Steph. We loved working with them! Abby was super organized and very accommodating. Steph was awesome all-around! Seriously. Any time we asked if something was possible, we were met with an "absolutely!" from both Abby and Steph. And both were available by phone, email, text, etc to answer any questions or concerns that we had. We had several meetings at Burl Oaks leading up to our wedding and I always left our meetings feeling really good and confident about every single decision we made. They absolutely took care of us and our guests.
I'll also mention that the night before the wedding, we were there to set up and rehearse and I was feeling particularly nervous and stressed out. Thankfully Abby was there and she was so very reassuring that the whole event would go off without any snags and she was 100% right. The ceremony site and the ballroom looked amazing. The food was delicious. The staff was professional and friendly. Abby kept everything on schedule. We had a wonderful ceremony and reception. Zero regrets. No mishaps!

I had my wedding at the Burl Oaks Golf Club on March 5, 2017. It was absolutely the most wonderful experience of my life. Abby, the events coordinator, was an absolute dream! Abby worked with us through the entire process, giving us suggestions for everything we didn't know about. She is so knowledgeable about everything we could have possibly needed. When we would come to her with a crazy idea we had, instead of telling us all the reasons why it couldn't happen, she talked about the different ways we could accomplish it! In the time leading up to the wedding, Abby was constantly checking in with us making sure we had everything we needed for our special day. When the wedding day came, everything was perfect. Everything was set up exactly how Abby and I had discussed. We had a brunch themed wedding and the food was absolutely delicious! The waitstaff and bartenders were exceptional. They anticipated the needs we were having but were never in the way.
The weather was gorgeous! Abby suggested opening a door to the deck area so guests could be outside and inside. It was one of the best decisions we made for the night. Our guests were able to enjoy the first 72-degree spring day we were having in Minnesota with the beautiful views of the golf course in the background.
The whole reception went off without a hitch! Our wedding day was perfect. My husband and I stopped looking at other venues options the second we found Burl Oaks. If you are looking for a place to have your wedding or event, stop. You've found it! I'm so happy I chose to have my wedding here! Steph and the entire Burl Oaks staff were so accommodating and helpful that John and I didn't worry about a thing the entire day! The staff made sure everything ran smoothly and they did an amazing job. The food was delicious, the location is beautiful and quiet. It was the perfect day! I highly recommend this place to other brides!I'm so happy I chose to have my wedding here! The staff at Burl Oaks was GREAT! They made us all feel like a part of their family. Abby, Steph, Tara and Maggie (sorry I don't know the others by name) were just fabulous to work with. The day Sunny and I first went to talk to Steph we walked away knowing that this was the place for Chad and Sunny to have their wedding. We not only felt welcome by all the staff, but as the wedding day went on, the club members were just as excited. Our meal was fabulous and we all were well taken care of.
Rodger, Chad, Sunny and I would highly recommend Burl Oaks for any special event! You Are The BEST!!!The staff at Burl Oaks was GREAT! They made us all feel like a part of their family. We loved working with Burl Oak! They were extremely flexible and made us feel special and not like "just another couple". I only have positive things to say about their facility and staff. We had my sister's wedding at Burl Oaks after the venue she booked closed on her 6 months before the wedding date. Once we met Steph and saw the value, we couldn't believe how lucky we were to have found them and that they had the day open. They were so easy to work with and everything was absolutely beautiful. The grounds are gorgeous, the food was fantastic and the bartenders were amazing. My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at Burl Oaks Golf Club on September 26th and it could not have been better! Our original venue closed 6 months prior to our wedding and by some kind of luck we found Burl Oaks. I was able to connect with Steph, the (extraordinary) catering coordinator at Burl Oaks and set up a time to see the place in that same week. Once we met Steph and saw where our wedding would take place and the beautiful grounds we knew it was the right place. Steph was so easy to work with and so flexible. He was willing to do whatever it took to make our day perfect. Jovana also helped make our day possible and was great to work with. Chef Joaquin made fantastic food and we couldn't have been happier with the whole dinner. The kitchen staff and servers were fast and friendly and made dinner run smoothly. I still have guests comment about how good the food was! Dinner was delicious and was a great price. We toured many venues and none came close to the quality and price that Burl Oaks offered. We had everything we could have hoped for at our wedding due in large part to Burl Oaks staff. Steph raved about his staff and it was well deserved. They are all amazing! I had wanted ceiling draping but it was not in our budget to have it done. When I walked into the reception room to see how things came together I saw beautiful ceiling draping which made me cry since I knew it wasn't us. I asked why it was there and was simply told "we wanted your day to be perfect and for you to be happy." That gesture meant the world to my husband and I, and it really goes to show how everyone there was so amazing to work with and so committed to making our day special. Steph and all of the staff deserve the biggest thanks for everything they did for us and we are so thankful for finding the gem that is Burl Oaks! Steph and staff were amazing with all of the crazy wedding details!! They kept it (and me) all calm, cool and collected. I really enjoyed working with them and my wedding was beautiful! This event was our daughter's high school graduation party. Graduation parties are not a typical event held at Burl Oaks but it couldn't have gone better! The banquet room was set up the day before our event with all the amenities we had asked for. Extra effort was made to ensure a video we wanted to play at the event would work on the equipment Burl Oaks provided. With plenty of time to add our daughter's memorabilia and decorations, the room looked spectacular. The staff attention to detail was exceptional. The food was displayed exquisitely, restocked as needed, and we received several compliments on how great it tasted. Non-alcoholic beverages were easy for guests to serve themselves with a wide variety of choices, while alcoholic beverages were available to guests in the bar area. Often grad parties can be stressful to plan and prepare for, however, Steph and Jovana made this a stress-free memorable event. Our last child will graduate from high school in three years and we look forward to having his graduation party at Burl Oaks too.
