My husband and I got married at Burlap and Beams on August 19, 2017. We had looked at other venues but the moment we visited Burlap we knew it was the perfect place. Every little detail was exactly like we had dreamed. Terri is a wonderful person, and works so hard for each and every one of her couples. She was there for every question or worry we had and worked with us through every little struggle of wedding planning. We planned our wedding from states away as we are a military family and it couldn't have gone any smoother thanks to Terri. She even surprised us. When we booked the venue there wasn't any permanent bathrooms yet, as we were going through the process she informed us that they had recently built some as a convenience to all of her couples/guests! Absolutely amazing! She continues to improve upon the already incredible venue and I highly recommend having your wedding here <3 Thank you again Terri for everything!

Burlap and Beams was a huge disappointment! The grounds are rustic and the barn for the wedding ceremony was nice, but the dressing rooms left a lot to be desired. The bathrooms were too far away and were the portable kind. It was raining and in heels, I almost slipped several times on the narrow slippy portable steps up into the bathroom. They were also totally inflexible. Any little thing we asked them for was received with irritation and no response. The worst part was that at exactly the moment that our time ended, they were clapping their hands at us and telling us to clear out. Very rude!! They could have given us 10 or 15 minutes to wrap up conversations and begin to move out. We also had to set up all of our own tables and do all the decorating ourselves. Very over priced for what you got. My son who got married two months earlier at Francis Farms was wonderful in comparison. Would not recommend this place.

We are sorry you feel this way. We do tours with all couples and they only book with complete knowledge of our Adirondack venue, our rustic grooms and bridal rooms and restroom trailers. We only use high end Ritz wedding restroom trailers. They are actually top of the line restroom trailers not porta pottys. They come with running water, vanitys music granite, music and heat. The rain can make any surface slippery and I am sorry that happened to you. As far as leaving when the wedding reception is over. In our contract we discuss that guests need to move on to after party locations due to cleanup and wedding setups on Sundays. We rent our venue out for 6 hours and want our couples and guests to have a nice time but due to cleanup and vendors packing up and safety reasons guests need to head out after the wedding. We are very lucky that we are close by to Lake George where many couples head to for an after party if the 6 hours is not enough time.
