  Elaine provided calligraphy services for us. She was a pleasure to work with and returned everything to us in a timely manner. Our invitation envelopes were SIMPLY GORGEOUS!!! I HIGHLY recommend this company!!

  Ms Elaine Sisman is an exceptional calligrapher, my invitations and seating cards were extremely elegant, just the way I wanted them! I recommend her highly for all types of invitations, announcements, letters, and clever ideas! She has tons!!!!!

  When we first spoke to Elaine about doing tent cards for 5 dinners we had she seemed very accommodating. We had talked about her coming on site to do last minute additions the week of the event and she said this would be ok at an additional rate. On the Friday before our first event on Monday she told us that she was not available on Monday and went completely off the radar. She wasn’t answering emails, calls or texts. She had our tent cards as well as blank tent cards which left us scrambling to find another calligrapher. Elaine did beautiful work the lack of communication was completely unprofessional and the stress we incurred because of it, was not worth it. I would not recommend Elaine to anyone.

  All the work I was contracted to do was done for Friday, as agreed. Even as the lists were submitted to us late. I was asked to open my studio & work on additional place cards on Saturday, which I did. The paper stock was returned to client as I was informed the "job was complete". I am very clear that we book jobs (our time) "by deposit only". An on-site event deposit was discussed, but never given and never booked. I spoke with this reviewers partner late Monday afternoon & was asked to attend that Monday evening event. I agreed to help, moved my schedule around, & packed my workbag . This reviewer cancelled on me less than two hours prior to me coming out to the event site. I was told that wasn't needed. I never go "off radar". We were called later in the week to return stock, it had already been returned. Maybe the miscommunication was not on my end? Regardless, my sincere apologies if reviewer experienced stress, or any less than our high standard of service. That is always our priority.

  I had a beautiful wedding on 4.21.2018. However Elaine was a thorn in my side leading up to that day and then did the unthinkable the day before my wedding. She is a thief, hustler, liar. Do not trust her. Do not give her your money. Do not trust her at all. I contacted her about making a seating chart on mirrors for 250 guest. She told me she would be happy to do it. She told me I needed two large mirrors. I purchased the mirrors and sent her pictures as well as dimensions. She said they looked great. I paid my deposit and then everything went down hill. She originally told me she could deliver the mirrors but then she suddenly had an event the day of my wedding. Once my brother delivered the mirrors, she complained to him that they were cheap and poor quality. I emphasized, multiple times that she needed to keep to the estimate. She in turn was rude to me and avoided committing to what she said. She later called/harassed me when I was at work.... I'm a physician by the way because she did not know how to work a Word document. She gave me the final price which was $800! Double what she quoted or anyone ever quoted me - and I paid for my own mirrors... So that's just for her time. She's a complete fraud. Brides please beware. Do not trust her. She is disgusting as a business person. I will repost this everywhere I can.

  I am so sorry that you feel you had this experience & were not happy with the final price. I did communicate the price increase due to the change in scope of work & mirrors provided. I strive to always provide a happy experience for my clients. Again, I am very sorry you were not fully satisfied.
