We got married here this fall and they were amazing! We had to push our wedding back because of the pandemic and they made the transition so easily. It also is not a far drive from Vail, but still feels really remote. We loved having such a private venue which helped people disconnect. The jeep ride up to the top of the mountain too was the perfect spot for photos with my husband. I can't say enough good things about this venue!!

Camp Hale is by far one of the most stunning wedding venues in Colorado. My husband and I looked at 7 venues in the Vail / Beaver Creek area and decided on Camp Hale. Kate was our main point of contact throughout the entire planning process and she was great. She always got back to us in a timely matter and was extremely helpful for recommending other vendors or providing feedback on certain items. Our wedding day went off without a hitch - the food was delicious and the service was unparalleled. My husband and I highly recommend this venue to anyone who wants a spectacular wedding in which you and your guests will talk about for years to come. Thank you Camp Hale and Kate!

Well for starters our wedding was an absolute DREAM. It was everything and more my husband and I envisioned for our Summer wedding in CO. Both the venue's setup and the views are just breathtaking. This was a destination wedding for us and our guests, and everyone was just completely blown away by everything the venue had to offer, not to mention shuttle transportation to and from our hotel was a breeze. I don't know how much cuter it can get when your ceremony space is situated in the middle of a charming little stream surrounded by panoramic mountain views. I especially loved that you get to pick what your ceremony setup is going to look like. There's no altar already in place that you wished would look different. You have complete creative control. We hired a wedding planner to coordinate with Kate and her team and everything was executed perfectly. Kate was extremely accommodating to us, and worked with my planner and I every step of the way to make sure everything went as we had envisioned. It even rained on and off throughout our big day but it all still seemed to go just as smoothly as I thought it would. And when it did rain for a little while later while we were in the tent, the staff were waiting with umbrellas to walk guests to the bathroom. And that is the kind of service we expected, and indeed received. The food was spot on (my personal favorite was the truffle stuffed baked potato) and the staff was excellent. At one point we even got one of the guys to kindly drive us out on what was like a super ATV a mile or two down the road on the property so our photographer could get some pictures of us in the wild sage. That's how accommodating they were. Not sure how it could have gone any better (even with a few rain drops). Thank you Kate and staff for making it the most unforgettable day of our lives thus far!

This venue was a hidden gem! The location itself was beautiful and Camp Hale has added great extra touches. The ceremony was on a small island with new wooden benches for the guests. They have a large nice tent with new cement flooring. The lodge is a great perk in case of any weather. We rented the three cabins near the venue as well which were very clean. Nate and John were great to work with and very responsive. 95% of communication was done by email which made it easy for me! Our meal was great too and catering staff was very kind. Our guests couldn't stop talking about this place and we're so happy with our experience with Camp Hale. Thank you for making our wedding special!

Camp Hale means so much to my husband and I. We got married there June 10, 2017. The reason we chose Camp Hale is because back in Dec 2015 we planned a snow mobile trip with Nova Guides. We rode them up to the very top of the mountain where my husband proposed. When we came down to share our excitement, we were told that they also host weddings. We didn't think much of it being that we are from Houston, TX but once I googled the pictures, we didn't bother looking at any other venues. We booked the venue for the summer of 2017 right away. We wanted to share this special place with all od our family and friends. This gave us plenty of time to plan!

It's been such a pleasure working with the team at Camp Hale. Nate is so easy going and was such a great help to us planning long distance. He was very accomadating with everything that we needed.

Our guests absolutely LOVED Camp Hale. You just don't see this kind of beauty in Texas. Many of them now want to move to Colorado. The weather was gorgeous and you can see every single star in the sky at night! I was worried about the tempature dropping at night but Nate provided us with enough heaters to keep everyone comfortable. The bartenders were great and the chef did a great job with the food. The cabins are also very cozy and a great place to get ready in. I have no complaints when it comes to this venue.

Camp Hale is a perfect venue if you want to get married in the mountains surrounded by natural beauty!

Our Camp Hale wedding was unbelievably beautiful! This gem is tucked in the mountains just outside of Vail with a ceremony location on a small island on a lake, cocktail hour on a beautifully maintained lawn, and the reception in a gorgeous tent - all located within a few hundred yards or each other so no need to move your guests around between ceremony/cocktail hour/reception. In addition, there is an awesome log lodge on site that gives a nice rustic feel (including taxidermy!). I can't promise this to everyone who goes, but our ceremony was joined by a flock of hummingbirds!!!

KT was awesome to work with - super flexible and understanding of changes, helpful in planning timing/amounts/seating, and very genuine to work with. She worked with us on best timing for all the various shuttles, providing a cabin to get ready in, and nailing down all the little details.

Camp Hale is most certainly a hidden gem that won't stay hidden much longer!

We got married at Nova Guides in July 2016. Everyone was super friendly & easy to work with (especially KT Bell). The catering staff & bartenders were fun & seemed to have fun while working. The cabins were perfect for getting ready in & were big enough to accommodate for it. We were extremely pleased with the way the whole day went. Highly recommend this gorgeous setting.

Camp Hale made our wedding day absolutely perfect!! The location could not be more stunning, all of our guests kept gawking and telling us how amazing it was. KT, the coordinator is fantastic. She worked so hard to make our day exactly what we dreamed of, all with a smile. The 3 cabins on site are perfect for getting ready! I would 100% recommend Camp Hale for an amazing Colorado wedding. I held my wedding at Camp Hale in July of 2014. Although we had a bit of rain the day was everything I dreamt. Kt was extremely attentive and helpful. She guided us through the entire venue and catering process; she helped out with our timeline and finding quality vendors. The staff was professional and friendly. They helped with transportation to and from Vail, provided a very tasty appetizers and dinner. I would recommend Camp Hale to anyone looking for ranch wedding in Colorado.

Best wedding venue! We looked at tons of places in Vail before deciding to go with Camp Hale and we are so glad that we did! The venue is a dream and although we needed shuttles to get there, the process was super easy and streamlined. Katie Anne is on top of it, she handled everything with the venue and was so great to work with!

AMAZING Venue, stellar food, and Kaite Ann was an incredible organizer! The scenery was perfect - couldn't ask for a better location.

So grateful so choose Camp Hale. From the beginning of our wedding planning experience with them, it was a pleasure getting to know the team and working with them. There were a few hiccups but that was solved immediately! The food was delicious. The staff were amazingly friendly. KT is suburb! She knocks it out of the park. Her response time in same day, she is easy to work with and has an amazing attitude. Living just down the road, it was easy to drive up, met and plan the space but for out towners, I wouldn't worry. It is a beautiful location. They can also provide shuttle service for an additional fee which is amazing since the location is so remote. We are so lucky that we found Camp Hale! Wouldn't have changed a thing!

Camp Hale is the dreamiest wedding venue of all times! Katie Anne was extremely helpful throughout the whole process, especially since I was planning from across the country. All went smoothly and made for the perfect wedding day!

We held our wedding at Camp Hale in August of 2016 and it was a wonderful experience. In months prior, KT (the onsite coordinator) was super flexible, responsive and helpful as we were making decisions regarding our big day. The site is unbelievably beautiful, private and just a short drive from Vail. Our guests absolutely loved it and are still talking about it nearly a month later! We couldn't be more pleased. The venue is amazing, and the location can't be beat. The team is good to work with and very accommodating.

To start with, our wedding was fantastic. The venue is so beautiful, with an outdoor setting in the mountains. The ceremony site is on a lake, and very picturesque. The reception ran very smoothly, and everyone was friendly and helpful. It started raining during our cocktail hour, and they had attendants with umbrellas to escort guests back and forth to the lodge if they needed to use the restroom. It was fantastic.

There were a few issues, however. When we signed the contract with them, KT was their events coordinator. She had been with the venue for several years, and seemed to really know her stuff. A few months later, KT apparently left the company. Our event was taken over by Nate. Nate was slow to respond generally, but as the event grew closer, he was impossible to get a hold of. Emails would not be responded to for weeks, and when we called to get a response, he reiterated that he was very busy and would be getting to us soon. At one point, he told me "We have two whole weeks left to plan your wedding." As a stressed out bride, that did not make me feel good. It felt as if we were less important than other, larger weddings they had going on. Things finally came to a head at the rehearsal, when Nate was not present, and details that had been communicated to him had not been communicated to the rest of the staff. His assistant John ended up taking over, and handled things much more smoothly. But the stress this situation created leading up to the wedding was certainly a low point of the planning process.

One more thing to be aware of: there is zero cellular reception at the venue, and for a few miles in either direction. There is also no wifi available. This makes coordinating logistics for the day a bit complicated. If anything goes off schedule, there is no way to get in touch with your coordinator, etc. This happened to me, when my hair and makeup team went to the venue instead of the lodging, and we couldn't get in touch with them.

First- our wedding day was beautiful and we had a great time. However, the amount of work and stress it took to get there was astronomical. First, we went through 3 different points of contact throughout the planning process. The person we worked with on wedding day was disrespectful, unhelpful, forgetful and had poor knowledge of the venue. He also talked negatively about the previous coordinator at camp hale, which I thought was unprofessional. He told me this summer of weddings was a "trial run under new management." I has to explain that I did not want my wedding to be a guinea pig for next year. There was a gross lack of communication and understanding from his end and it caused huge issues leading up to our wedding. Those that worked behind the bar and served food were amazing. I think if this venue were under different management, it would be an absolutely stellar venue. It is also not cheap, so to go through so many hoops after paying so much money was really tough.

Our wedding was beautiful and our guests had a wonderful time. However, it was a frustrating process to get us to that point and I want to ensure other couples are aware of what it is like to work with Camp Hale. 1. We had 4 different wedding planners from Camp Hale in the 2.5 years that we worked with them. There was no transition of knowledge or handoff from one planner to another which resulted in us answering the same questions several times as well as some key details being lost and having to be repeated. 2. For the 2 years leading up to our event, we were planning to have open bar and transition to cash the last hour of the event. After the pandemic restrictions had all lifted, we were told that we could no longer transition the bar to cash the last hour due to Covid-19. This was in late June 2021, where no restrictions existed. This was told to us 1 month before our event. One planner had us select 8 wine options. With the next we were only able to select 6 and were told that the last planner “had it wrong” and to provide new selections. 3. As this was the first big event for many of our guests, we requested the staff serving food wear masks. Camp Hale agreed. There was no mask insight on any of the Camp Hale staff the day of the wedding. 4. We were hoping to utilize Camp Hale shuttles and were requesting the shuttle take one additional trip for an early pickup and drop off at the venue. A normal shuttle cost is $350 and fits 14 people for pickup in Vail, drop off at the venue and another pickup at the end of the evening. We requested one additional pickup in Vail and drop at the venue. We were told that in order to accommodate this request the cost would be $1,000+. We tried to have clarifying conversations with Kate, the Camp Hale planner as jumping from $350 to over $1,000 for an additional trip did not make any sense to us or our personal planner. Kate responded to our clarification stating “I have 49 other weddings to plan so can’t keep spending time on this.” Considering we spent over $50,000 with Camp Hale, I think she should have given us the time. 5. A few minor, but informative things on the waitstaff: it was chilly at our wedding. Camp Hale did not provide branded jackets or uniform. Staff was wearing personal sweatshirts - we have many photos with a waitress in a pink Hollister sweatshirt in the background. With the Camp Hale caterer, we supplied the list of tables where GF and Vegan meals were needed. A waitress approached me (the bride) during dinner serving saying “we have an extra vegan meal at your table.” When I told her that all the vegans at my table had been served she said “your list was wrong then. Where do you want me to take this?” So I pointed out some other guests I knew were vegan. It was unprofessional and frankly not something I wanted to deal with. 6. There are cabins for rent onsite. When we arrived at 4PM (check-in is noon), my husband had to spend 20 minutes tracking down Kate for the keys. When we finally got the keys, two of the three cabins were extremely dirty - used dishes everywhere, beds unmade. They had not been cleaned whatsoever. My husband had to hunt Kate down again and request the cabins to be cleaned. There was no concession provided. All in all, your wedding will be beautiful, but Camp Hale does not have it together to remember the details and their customer service is poor at best. Account for unexpected costs, and be prepared to receive subpar service for the price you pay.
