  Absolutely perfect!

  Our wedding reception took place in October 2023 at the Washington Inn in Cape May, New Jersey. The experience was absolutely phenomenal, thanks to the fantastic job done by Lindsey, the wedding coordinator. The Washington Inn is ideally located just a few blocks from the Washington Street Mall, where our church was, and the beach where we took our wedding photos. Situated on a charming tree-lined Victorian street, the set-up was beautiful, and all the details were taken care of, making everything seamless and flawless from the beginning of the planning process until the end, on the day of the wedding. We had a total of 75 guests, some of whom were from out of town, and it was easy to find accommodation options close by.
  
  The food was delicious, and the guests, along with my husband and I, had a wonderful time. We had the entire place to ourselves with an open bar, cocktail hour, and a sit-down meal. There was plenty of space to mingle, and guests could even go outside if they wanted to. Valet parking was available to anyone who needed it, which is a great convenience in Cape May, where street parking can be a challenge, especially during the warmer seasons.
  Overall, the Washington Inn was the perfect spot for an intimate wedding reception. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a venue that will make their special day unforgettable.

  An event to remember

  Lindsay and all of the staff at The Washington Inn made our event memorable! The food, wine, waitstaff and sommelier were all top notch. The food was absolutely divine as well. We would not hesitate to have another event with them!

  June Backyard Wedding

  Lindsey and her team at Washington Inn are top notch! She handled our Friday night welcome party and our wedding the next day. She gave us great ideas for food - my family still talks about how amazing everything was. Everyone from her staff was great including the chef and bartender. Lindsey handled everything so we could enjoy our day and our guests. It was PERFECT! Lindsey and the Washington Inn team are THE- BEST!!!

  Incredible team, amazing food!

  Our wedding was an absolute dream come true, and a significant part of that magic can be attributed to the incredible collaboration between Lindsey, the catering, planning, and venue teams. From the initial planning stages to the last dance, everything was orchestrated with precision and care.
  
  The venue provided the perfect backdrop for our special day, with both indoor and outdoor spaces that seamlessly transitioned to accommodate different parts of the celebration. Even with a tropical storm that required us to create a backup plan to the backup plan!
  
  The catering team curated a culinary experience that was nothing short of extraordinary. The menu was diverse, delicious, and catered to various dietary preferences. The service staff were attentive and professional, ensuring that every guest felt pampered throughout the evening.
  
  Lindsey was the unsung hero of the day, orchestrating everything flawlessly. Her meticulous planning and coordination allowed us to relax and savor every moment without worrying about the details. From the ceremony to the reception, her expertise and guidance were invaluable.

  Perfectly executed beach wedding with best raw bar and Washington Inn quality food. The best!

  Lindsey was incredible! She was there for us every step of the way and educated us on all the things we needed to keep in mind and then followed through on making it all happen. She was incredibly diligent with coordination with all other vendors, which was especially complicated given we did the wedding on the beach and there were tons of things and vendors to be managed. She is so nice, able to roll with the punches, and has great instincts! We also loved our tasting with the Washington Inn- it was so much fun and the food is incredible. It was just as good day of a they stayed on the timeline and serving schedule perfectly (again on the beach which is a feat!). Everyone is professional and kind and we would recommend them to anyone. Our raw bar was the highlight for our guests as well- they had never seen anything like it- so highly recommend that as well.

  Washington Inn was amazing!

  We had our wedding in May at the Washington Inn and it was absolutely incredible! Lindsey was so organized, helpful and professional throughout the entire process. She kept the day running smoothly and made the day feel so easy. The food and drinks were incredible (one of the reasons we went with them in the first place)! All of the vendors recommended by the Washington Inn were similarly excellent. We've received so many compliments about our wedding and can't recommend the team at the Washington Inn highly enough!

  Attentive and Responsive

  Lindsey and her team at Washington Inn Caterers blew my expectations out of the water. They helped with organization, kept me calm during the decision making process, and we had a great time planning our wedding with Lindsey. Her team is responsive, quick and attentive. Emails were responded to very quickly and she is so easy to chat with!
  The day of, she anticipated so many transitions and is so professional. I didn't have to ask for anything (she even had a drink ready for me upon arrival ;) ). Her staff was fun and had such great energy. I am so glad we went with Lindsey and The Washington Inn Caterers.

  Vineyard Wedding

  I can not say enough wonderful things about Lindsey and her staff. They worked tirelessly to make sure our day was perfect! I felt incredibly confident and stress free throughout the entire planning process and day of the wedding. Even during a hurricane, the staff was able to problem solve and go above and beyond to make everything continue on as planned. The Isaac Smith Vineyard was beautifully manicured for our event. We featured local wine from Cape May Winery and beers from Cape May Brewery which our guests loved. The Isaac Smith Estate is the best spot in Cape May!

  The Washington Inn was largely responsible for making our wedding day perfect. Lindsey was hands down the glue that held everything together.
  
  From our first call and first meeting, Lindsey went above and beyond in helping us plan our reception. We live 7+ hours away from New Jersey but Lindsey made it seem like we were right down the street. She answered all of our calls and emails and even met with us several times when we were in the area to go over logistics.
  
  We used a non-traditional venue and the job that Lindsey and the Washington Inn did with it was beyond excellent. We still can't believe how beautiful the venue turned out!
  
  The food was perfect. Almost all of our 90 guests commented on how delicious everything was. From our cocktail hour to the main courses, everything was so good!
  
  The staff on site for our reception were so prompt and on top of getting more drinks for our guests. They were extremely professional and great to work with.
  
  We can't recommend the Washington Inn enough, especially if you have the chance to work with Lindsey and her staff. Thank you all for helping to make our day so amazing!

  The Washington Inn was our one and only choice for catering. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. We enjoyed being able to customize our menu and create fun food stations that our guests loved and raved about!

  I opted for a small intimate wedding ceremony in Cape May. I chose The Washington Inn to host a dinner party for my reception after our ceremony. I could not have chosen a better restaurant! Lindsey, the event coordinator took care of every detail that I asked for, including helping me with selecting appetizers and wine. I asked to arrange a champagne toast first, before our meal. Everything was set up for us as we entered the resturant. The wine cellar at the inn is perfect for 20 guests. It is beautiful and intimate, exactly what I was going for. The wait staff was top notch and attended to our every need. I also had a special request for the pastry chef to make cake pops instead of cake, which turned out beautiful. My photographer was allowed to take photos in the wine cellar, as well as outside the restaurant. We had pics in front of the inn by the wine barrels. The outside is very pretty in the summer months with lots of photo opportunities. The chef even surprised us with a special dessert of chocolate mousse after our meal, which was wonderful! It was fabulous experience that was flawless. Every detail was thought of. I highly recommend the restaurant. My day was perfect and better than I anticipated!   We loved our wedding at Issac Smith Vineyard. Washington Inn Catering was so accommodating and allowed us to have the wedding we wanted at the price we wanted. The food was delicious, the venue was gorgeous, and our guests (and we) had an amazing time.

  We used the Washington Inn for our rehearsal dinner menu at a house we rented and then they were the caterer for the venue where we held our reception. Everything was yummy and the presentation was lovely. 2 years later we are still talking about how great the food was!

  My husband and I are so very happy with the wedding choices we made! Our wedding was attended by an intimate gathering of our family and friends at Cape May Winery and Vineyard. It was such a beautiful setting in the early autumn with all of its vines and flowers in full bloom. Not one wedding plan that day took anything away from our memories. The staff and planners from The Washington Inn and Vineyard worked with us accommodating all of our wishes. The abundant and five star quality food was never a worry as The Washington Inn with chef Mimi is always a treat. Everyone was so gracious and attentive to our every need. I would not hesitate to recommend either The Washington Inn or Cape May Winery and Vineyard... and now we are living “happily ever after”.

  My husband and I are so very happy with the wedding choices we made! Our wedding was attended by an intimate gathering of our family and friends at Cape May Winery and Vineyard. It was such a beautiful setting in the early autumn with all of its vines and flowers in full bloom. Not one wedding plan that day took anything away from our memories. The staff and planners from The Washington Inn and Vineyard worked with us accommodating all of our wishes. The abundant and five star quality food was never a worry as The Washington Inn with chef Mimi is always a treat. Everyone was so gracious and attentive to our every need. I would not hesitate to recommend either The Washington Inn or Cape May Winery and Vineyard... and now we are living “happily ever after”.

  Our wedding weekend started with the Rehearsal Dinner at the Cape May Marina. Meredith Borrell, Events Manager from The Washington Inn put everything together flawlessly on five days notice. She and her crew effortlessly produced a memorable dinner for our 50+ guests, many of whom had just arrived from a long journey and were welcomed by exceptional food and an elegant, relaxed atmosphere on the Marina’s patio.
  
  Meredith and her crew were outstanding and the dinner couldn’t have been more perfect and effortless. I didn’t have to do a thing except tell her what we wanted and she set us up with the perfect venue in no time and without any stress. I called her the day of the event to add a few more guests to the venue - she said “no problem”. She was absolutely wonderful and accommodating.

  A wonderful Sunday brunch

  The Washington Inn did a Sunday morning brunch for us in September 2023. We're the brides Aunt and Uncle. The staff at the Inn were wonderful and highly professional, both in planning and on the day of the brunch. The food was delightful.

  Rehearsal Dinner

  We ultimately did not host our wedding with Washington Inn Catering due to date availability, however, we did host our rehearsal dinner in the wine cellar at the Washington Inn. It was a fantastic experience. Lindsey, our event coordinator, was extremely helpful, professional, and prompt with providing information and answering my questions. I would recommend the Washington Inn Catering/the Washington Inn to anyone hosting an event in the Cape May area.

Many in attendance said that it was the nicest rehearsal dinner that they had ever attended! Everyone loved the food and the venue. Working with Lindsey and the staff at the Vineyard was very easy. We were even able to bring in some "family" specialties and our own dessert. I would highly recommend both places to hold a special event.

  The Washington Inn in Cape May, NJ catered and organized the venue (the beach club of cape may) as well as the wedding day for our wedding on the beach.
  Jennifer was the coordinator at the restaurant and she was great to work with. She knows what she is doing and so she sometimes doesn't communicate every detail but it was always a pleasant surprise when she would update you about something. Because this isn't a typical wedding venue, I was nervous about everything. There weren't any reviews out there. But, she and the washington inn really exceeding my expectations--food was amazing, staff courteous, absolutely nothing went wrong except for communication about ending time- but even that worked out perfectly in the end.
  
  If you want to get married on the beach and live in the mid-atlantic area--call the washington inn and get started!
