  A Dancer’s Dream Wedding, For Real

  BEST. DAY. EVER.
  The casino was such a beautiful place for me and my husband on our wedding day. All the staff were so kind to us and made it that much more special. We hadn’t our ceremony at the theatre and the reception in the ballroom and it felt so awesome to be surrounded by such magical history. I could really feel the old Hollywood vibes and the classy elegant 20s spirit that day. My husband told me he was gonna marry me when we were just dating and did a tour of the place and he sure did make it the wedding of my dreams. For real. Most fun EVER. Book here and you will not regret it!!!

  The Catalina Country Club did a wonderful job for us. We specifically have Jessica Marical, the even coordinator, to thank. She worked with us during our wedding planning process. Without a wedding planner to help us, she was our glue and she did her very best for us!! We are so grateful.

  Creating our wedding with the Santa Catalina Island Company was a very positive experience. Dee Dee and the rest of the staff were exceptional all the way through. The quality of service was exceptional along with responsiveness, professionalism and flexibility. They provided us with a list of reputable and professional florists, officiants, photographers, DJ's and cake makers who are familiar with the island as well. I felt that Dee Dee and the rest went above and beyond and were extremly personable throughout the whole experience and made us feel like we were the only ones in the world getting married! We would highly recommend any couple to have their wedding on Catalina Island with the Catalina Island Company. Friends and family tell us that it was one of the best weddings they have ever been too and how beautiful the night went!

  My husband Steve adn I have nothing but excellent things to say about Dee Dee and the entire staff of Catalina Country Club Restaurant. They were completely professional and enabled us to relax and enjoy the day. The food was excellent! SO many of our wedding guests still talk about what a great time they had at our wedding...Thanks Dee Dee!

  planning a destination is very hard, but meghan the event coordinator for the venue is fantastic and helping you find all sorts of things on the island. Food was delicious even for a buffet style. Tasting preview is informative and fun. The casino ballroom is any couple's dream venue, with stunning views of the pacific ocean, in a historic art deco building.

  My husband and I thank the Santa Catalina Island Company sincerely for helping us to pull off what we consider a perfect wedding! We were thrilled with everything. Everything. The food was outstanding, the setting was perfect (not just the lawn and stage and beach, but the tables and chairs and linens and bars and the service), the sound, the ceremony... it was all seamless and easy. We couldn't be more pleased. All of our guests enjoyed themselves thoroughly, as did we. In fact, three weeks later, we're still getting emails and phone calls about how good ALL of the food was, and how elegant and personal our ceremony and reception were.

  The Santa Catalina Island Company was an all around PLEASURE to work with. All of our contacts there were amazing... and I felt like I was working amongst friends. The entire experience was fantastic and I owe it all to the professionalism, support and kindness of the entire Company.

  We were 100% satisfied with our wedding reception at Descanco Beach Club on Catalina Island. The location was beautiful and everyone involved in the planning was very helpful. The food was exceptional and many of our guests made comments about how great it was afterwards.

  We booked our wedding with SCIS in January 08 (highly recommended to book early) and from the beginning the reps that we dealt with through out the process were the best. Ultimately, our events (they handled our welcome reception as well) were flawless. The staff were super friendly, very helpful with recommendations and took care of every detail. Our guests have had nothing to comment on but the fantasticness of the whole experience. We think that the already marrieds are a bit jealous they didn't have their wedding there ;)

The only problems I had were being asked the same questions over and over again, and The days schedule of events was sent to me, but at the event the schedule she had was not the updated one. I felt I had to constantly repeat myself! The food was excellent, and my cake was assembled perfectly. We had a wonderful day

  The most beautiful venue in the world! Very happy with the quality of food & wait-staff especially considering we had a black-tie, formal affair. We had a wedding planner which really helped since there was little-to-no flexibility with the room and what we could do. The planner worked out details with the site manager for us.   The Casino ballroom on Catalina is absolutely a knockout, but so many other things about the CIC staff proved to be disappointing. We started asking about wine selections in June but were told they would have to see what was available through their sources on the mainland. We called them repeatedly throughout the summer but never got a call back from their banquet manager. It wasn't until 10 days before the wedding that our CIC contact person got back to us and said our wine choices would be available, but then we discovered they were charging us restaurant prices, not retail. We had 7 cases of wine and Champagne left over (84 bottles) which they said they could not ship to us (we live in the midwest) because they didn't have a "license" to do so. We paid for 7 extra staff people to serve wine yet our table was never offered red wine with the main course, or another glass of white wine nor was water served even though we had requested it. There was a water glass on the table that went empty the whole night. I had the feeling that either the company was understaffed or not very professional. I have heard similar comments from two shop owners in Catalina. They said the company is not what it used to be a couple of years ago when it changed ownership. In spite of the problems, our guests said they had a wonderful three day vacation on the island and that the wedding was one of the best they have ever been to. The ceremony on Descanso Beach was absolutely gorgeous and the Casino ballroom is stunning. Stay away from the mezzanine area, however. It is quite noisy with 160 people and was quite warm even though it was a cool day outside. There is no air conditioning, they had not set up fans and there is not enough natural ventilation to make it comfortable. Also, the CIC chairs are wood with a magenta fabric, not a good color to work with unless you're doing a fall wedding. We rented white charivari chairs from a local vendor who is closing.
