  Very professional and easy to work with

  We worked with Nick for our June 2019 wedding at The Walnut Grove. From the first few emails to the actual wedding day Nick was a pleasure to work with. I did a lot of research for finding a DJ and Coastal Entertainment Group was one of the best values for their quality of services that I could find.
  
  We hired Nick for the entire event--ceremony and reception. It was great having the mics for the ceremony because people could actually hear our vows and not just the officiant!
  
  We didn't want a DJ that took over the event, and Nick is very conscious of that. He is extremely professional, kind and accommodating to your needs. He made it very easy to create a playlist of songs we did like, while also making a list of "do not play" songs (which is really important!). Nick kept the party going right up until the last minute, and we never wanted to stop dancing!
  
  We also wanted to incorporate traditional Lebanese music with the rest of our song choices, and Nick did an amazing job at reading the crowd/mood and deciding when to mix it in. For our grand entrance, we had a group of Lebanese dancers perform and dance with us, and Nick was extremely accommodating about coordinating with the dancers in terms of announcements and playing the correct background tracks.
  
  Nick even projected our wedding hashtag on the front of the DJ booth, which is not something we even thought about doing but we are so glad that it was there. A lot of guests actually used the hashtag and it has made it really easy to find guest photos on Instagram.

  I used Nic for my Nov. 2013 wedding at the Canary Hotel in Santa Barbara. From the start he was very helpful and professional. Since I lived in a different city than where the wedding was, it was easy to communicate by email and he answered all my questions. A month before the wedding we were able to have a face to face meeting. The meeting covered the timeline and song details.
  The day of the wedding was perfect and the music was amazing!! Nic was so easy to work with! We had a few adjustments with the speeches and timeline and he worked within the changes. He did a great job with my last minute changes and was very flexible with them. It was nice to have him give his option on things I wasn't familiar with but in the end let me make the decision. I received comments from friends and family about how great the music choices were. I also liked how professional Nic was - no corny jokes or embarrassing DJ moments. He kept the party going all night long!! I would highly recommend Coastal for your wedding or event.

  We hired Coastal Entertainment Group, and more importantly Nicholas to be our DJ at our wedding in May. We couldn't have been happier with the service he provided. Not only was the price right, he was a great DJ. He was very responsive when we needed anything, and made himself readily available to meet at a moments notice to go over details. Nicholas is very professional and abstains from the tackiness that can be associated with some wedding DJ's.
  
  He played every song we needed and even went out of his way to ensure that he had every song we needed, even if it wasn't in his vast musical library. He even cut a mix together that had multiple songs that we wanted to do a special dance to, again going above and beyond.
  
  I would recommend Coastal Entertainment Group for any wedding as he puts together a wedding timeline that is very helpful and keeps the wedding events moving at a great pace. He is very aware of the crowd and what they are yearning for musically.
  
  We were very happy to not have to worry about having a crappy DJ. With all that you can stress about wedding planning, choose Coastal Entertainment and allow for one less vendor to stress about, it's worth it.

  We decided to hire Coastal Entertainment when we heard them play at a friends wedding last year. My husband and I had very specific music that we wanted our DJ to play, some cultural music as well to play for our family who don't live in the US. They played all our music that we gave them and mixed it in with other top hits from our playlist. They were very friendly and professional, thank you for making our night one we will never forget!

  Nicholas, from Coastal Entertainment, was hired to be our DJ at our wedding on October 14, 2012, and we couldn't have had a more perfect DJ. From the start Nicholas was very open to the music we wanted to play at our wedding and met with us three times before the day to go over our playlist and any other questions we had. My husband and I were picky with our music, but Nicholas understood and only played music we specified. Nicholas stuck to the genres we wanted to play and any music he needed to add to fill time was well within our taste. Our wedding party, parents, and guests all commented on how nice and professional Nicholas was. Everyone danced and had a great time at our wedding and they are all still raving about it. We definitely would recommend Nicholas to DJ at any event.

  On Sept 15th, my lovely new wife Annie and I were married in Santa Barbara. Eventually we came across Nicholas at Coastal Entertainment and he rescued us from DJ limbo.
  Not only did he provide the microphones on the beach so our guests could hear our vows clearly, he helped our wedding coordinator with people-wrangling at the reception. As the night went on, he played great music for our guests to dance to and made sure not to play anything from our "do-not-play list".
  We also had a couple extras we needed such as a generator for the beach and asked Nicholas to stay an extra hour for the reception. He accommodated both at a very reasonable rate to help stay within our budget.
  All in all, Nicholas is a complete pro and very organized. I would recommend him to anyone seeking a great wedding DJ. Thanks again, Nicholas.

  I received a phone call quickly after posting my request and the company worked within my tight budget since we are a non-profit organization. Every correspondence was very professional. The music was exactly what we were looking for. The DJ mixed it up with old and newer music. I would definately recommend Coastal Entertainment Group, Southern California to everyone.

  We had Coastal Entertainment & Event Services work our annual Holiday Party and if it weren't for the lighting and music....it would have been just another, hohum event....Our DJ Nicholas was fantastic, so easy and nice to work with...he understands how to please a crowd and inspire people to get on the dance floor- without interfering in the party or being intrusive. Coastal Entertainment has a very good aptitude for reading people and timing....and certainly understands customer service! We have already contracted him for our next 2 events, so please don't just think of them as just a Wedding DJ....they are great for all occasions and age groups!!! F&B in SB

  Nicholas was a fabulous DJ and did a wonderful job with the sound for the ceremony as well as setting up the lighting for our reception. He was a pleasure to work with and kept our dance floor packed all night! He even played another song after the "last song" when our guests wanted more. Thanks, Nicholas!!

  My husband and I can't say enough good things about Nicholas! He completely exceeded our expectations and we set our expectations high! Nicholas was very good about communicating with me before the wedding and he listened to our every request. After the wedding our family was raving about the variety of music that was played and how Nicholas kept the dance floor packed the entire night. My aunt told me that she'd requested "Brickhouse", but it never got played. I told her that was because it was on our DO NOT play list, so more kuddos to Nick for listening to our requests! He even stayed 1.5 hours longer than we'd originally booked him for and he didn't hesitate for a second to say YES! Nick is phenomenal at mc'ing. He's super professional, energetic, and only uses the mic when necessary...he's not your typical cheesy DJ. Thank you Nicholas for contributing to our magical night. It was absolutely flawless!

  Nick was extremely intuitive and was able to read the crowd perfectly. He kept the party going all night, we even had to extend our reception because no one wanted to leave the dance floor! He was very helpful leading up to the Wedding Day and provided us with a wonderful experience on our special day.

  My husband and I certainly made the right choice by booking Coastal Entertainment for our wedding. They handled everything for us, including the ceremony and cocktail hour music. We had an extensive lists of songs to be played, and of course songs like the Macarena and YMCA that we refused to have played. They did a great job making sure the vibe was just right for the night, and everyone had such a great time. The music definitely plays a huge role in how well the evening will go, and with the wrong DJ you could have a disasterous wedding. We highly recommend Coastal Entertainment for your wedding!!

  Coastal Entertainment: Rating 10!! My husband and I were very impressed with our DJ services. They went above and beyond to provide us with exactly what we wanted. We had a somewhat complex wedding (2 ceremonies, a cocktail hour and then the reception) and live in San Francisco. They took the time to consult with us and understand the process/timing of our ceremony and absolutely nailed it! They also took the time to really know our music preferences and were thrilled with both the cocktail and reception music. They always immediately returned our emails/calls, answered any questions we had, and walked us through the process patiently. Our DJ, Nick even came to the Country Club the day before to make sure his DJ set up in all 3 rooms was appropriate! I would highly recommend Coastal Entertainment Group.

  Our vendors were simply amazing and would highly recommend them if you are in the planning stages or your wedding. They were definitely an all-star cast. Our DJ - Coastal Entertainment Group (Nicholas) was completely on the ball. Very-well organized and made things run smoothly at the wedding. Great playlist and knows his music.   Nicholas deejayed for our wedding in October at Fess Parker Doubletree. Throughout the process, he was very easy to work with and always quick to respond. We live in Los Angeles, and he was willing to meet us halfway so we didn't always have to drive up to Santa Barbara as we're planning our wedding. He also gave us recommendations as we're discussing the timeline of the wedding so the whole night flows better.
  
  Coastal Entertainment Group quoted us the best price for our location in Santa Barbara, and was able to provide two separate sound systems for the ceremony space and the reception space. There was a nice selection of music, and we, along with our guests, all had an unforgettable evening.

  Nicholas was the DJ at my daughter's batmitzvah. He was FANTASTIC. When we met to discuss the music he included my daughter and took into account her wants and treated her with respect and as an "equal" in the process. During the actual even Nicholas was responsive to some spur of the moment changes that needed to happen. All the kids had a great time dancing!! We plan on using Nicholoas again when it is our son's bar mitzvah.

  Nick was a truly great DJ! I gave him a list of must plays and he stuck to it perfectly - mixing the songs together to keep everyone on the dance floor all night. Our wedding ended at 11pm and the dance floor was packed the entire time. He also did a great job mic'ing the ceremony. Thanks Nick

  We rented large speakers and an ipod sound mixer for our wedding. The price was very reasonable, the system worked perfectly and everyone had a great time dancing to the music. It was all delivered on time and removed promptly afterwards. I thought the service/experience was excellent and I would certainly recommend Coastal Entertainment for such services.

  Nicholas Mehdi, DJ did a good job of starting the dancing and getting the party going, kept most of our guests on the dance floor the whole night...Everyone had a good time and helped in making our wedding lively and one we wouldn't forget!
