    50th. Wedding Anniversary

    Our 50th. Wedding Anniversary Celebration couldn't have turned out more perfect without the help of Allison! We got exactly what we wanted, how we wanted and then some! Absolutely amazing! The set up of the room was elegant, the Arch for our vow renewal ceremony was perfect for the occasion. The food and pastry was raved over! The surprise cake for us was beyond anything we could have dreamed of! Spectacular! Our sincerest thanks also to John and all the staff both that evening and the next morning at breakfast. We couldn't have asked for anything better or more perfect! Thank you all for making our 50th. Wedding Anniversary an event to forever remember, not only by the two of us but also by our family and friends in attendance.

    Perfect wedding Day

    Had my wedding there two weeks ago it was great Allison and her team had everything perfect for me and my husband Food is top of the line it was the best all my guest where very happy Love the recommend them all the time. Great wedding day.

    Wonderful Experience!

    My husband and I had our reception at the Crowne Plaza in Independence last month, and we absolutely recommend it! Allison was wonderful, and we enjoyed working with her every step of the way. Not long before our date, Allison was left short handed after another wedding coordinator switched jobs. But even while being swamped with work and handling every wedding by herself, Allison was still extremely attentive and went over every detail of our reception again and again to ensure everything was on track and just what we wanted. Her new assistant, Miranda, ran everything the day of the wedding and did an amazing job. Everything went according to plan, and we had the most amazing time! The servers and bar tenders were extremely nice and professional as well. We're still getting compliments on what a beautiful and fun reception we had, and we owe it all to Allison's hard work and dedication. We can't think of a single thing we would go back and change.

    Amazing JOB!!!

    We are so glad we chose Crown Plaza Cleveland South for our wedding. Allison and her team did a great job and we are thrilled with the way our wedding turned out. We had our friends and family stay there as well and the team at Crown Plaza made sure everyone was taken care of. We had a blast!! Highly recommend.

    Barb Williams and the Crowne Plaza staff were wonderful to work with. Barb was incredibly responsive and helpful as we kept tabs on our room block and perks. I wanted a 2-queen room for Friday night for myself and my bridesmaids and then a 1-king room for our wedding night and she made sure all of our arrangements were made correctly and that we could transition between rooms as smoothly as possible. Our king suite was beautiful and spacious and clean. The hotel held our party bus food and flowers at the front desk until we were ready to leave. I'm very glad we booked the Crowne Plaza Cleveland South for our wedding group and would gladly stay there again!

    My husband and I were very pleased with how our reception event turned out! We were able to see the room before our guests entered and we couldn't have been happier. Jessica and Stephanie listened to our ideas and incorporated them to make our day perfect. Thank you!

    This is the Crowne Plaza Hotel. I don't know why it says Skyline Hotel in the title. Anyway, we had our reception at the Crowne Plaza in Independence. I dealt with Sara, one of the catering managers, and she was so easy to work with. She was willing to meet with us at whatever time fit our schedule best. She answered my emails right away, and there were a lot of emails! They decorated the tables and put out the favors for us. Everything went as planned. We were in the smaller room at the hotel, and I wish there was a little more space even though there were only 80 guests. We did have an outdoor patio for guests who needed some air or wanted to smoke. The food was pretty good, but not as good as it was at our tasting. I guess that can be expected when it's prepared for 90 people instead of four. We stayed in a complimentary suite for the night which was very nice. Our guests who also stayed there had a discounted rate plus breakfast in the morning. The service from everyone was excellent though.

    Feb 2019 wedding

    Allison and her crew at the Crowne were great! She was so accommodating and helpful throughout the process. She answered any and all of the questions I had and always did her best to make my husband and I experience a good one. The food and accomodations were great. I highly recommend this hotel.

    the coordinator Stephanie was great to work with. Everything was beautiful. My issue was that they booked an event earlier in the day to my event in the same room, which caused my other vendors to not be able to set up with a lot of time. People were finishing decorating as my guest were arriving. I had to have them open the door and some things were missed.

    Our guests had a great time, enjoyed the shuttle service, and on the Wedding Day all our needs were quickly attended to. Buffet setup and Table Arrangements looked awesome. Wedding planners were easy to work with.

    Suzanne was the planner I work with. The hotel did a wonderful job. The only complaint was the food service. We ask for the beef to be well done and it was rare. Me and the groom sent our plates back twice. I didn't even eat. Lol. But in the bright side the hotel did wonderful set ups, very accommodating, flexible, and they did everything possible to keep me happy. And they providing me and my husband with a credit and free weekend including dinner for two for the uncooked beef meals.

    As some of the more recent reviews already state, all of the changes that happened over the last year with this venue did cause a headache in the already stressful planning process. However, I must say that Allison and Toca went above and beyond to do anything they could to make our day perfect. There were times where our frustrations became apparent, and they handled it with patience and understanding. I will say with all of the employee turnover that happened, there were some things that we had discussed in the beginning of the planning that fell through the cracks, so ALWAYS have things you want/need stated in an email! Also, if you want to bring home any cake or leftover pastries, bring them with you that night. I thought I would get a little of the leftover cake the next morning, as I know there was a lot left, but I never ended up getting any. All in all, we were very pleased with the way our day turned out. The food was good, the room was beautiful, and the staff was attentive. And hats off to Allison and Toca, who got thrown in to a difficult situation and handled it well!

    $4 for a Poweraide in the lobby is insane. The hotel did nothing to make our wedding night special. Most other hotels do. It was just like any other stay in a hotel. The rooms were clean but nothing remarkable to comment on. Getting my wedding block was a fiasco. Lots of people booked the hotel for the wedding but forgot to mention our name. When I contacted the hotel to get the names changed over I was told I had to wait for a certain person to return for their shift. Then I never heard back I had to keep hounded the,. In the end they were unable to switch them over so we weren't eligible for a free stay or the shuttles use. I am totally unimpressed with the whole experience.

    We booked in April 2017 for our June 2, 2018 wedding, after reading many good reviews and liking the wedding coordinator, Stephanie. Unfortunately, she left in January. I understand that people move on from jobs, but the hotel couldn’t have handled this any worse. We weren’t informed that Stephanie was leaving and only found out after not getting responses to emails or phone calls (even ones trying to make payments). Management finally told us what happened and we met the new coordinator, Kristy, in April. Two weeks before the wedding I sent Kristy a list of questions. I never got a response and had to make several phone calls before finally talking to a manager who told me that Kristy was no longer with the hotel. We were assured that the catering staff had been around a long time and everything would be taken care of. A member of the sales team began “helping” us. Unfortunately, she had never coordinated weddings before and was unable to use the room diagram software, didn’t have paperwork for us to fill out about what meals we needed, and couldn’t answer questions about vendors. The software and vendor issues were minor annoyances, although we did end up with two tables having the incorrect number of chairs and no designated vendor seats. Dinner service was terrible. Some of our guests waited 2.5 hours to be served. Food came out cold and with the wrong sides (at least one person had mac & cheese instead of potatoes). We told the hotel about two guests with nut allergies, and both were served salads with almonds. They told guests we ran out of cake, but gave us an untouched sheet cake the next morning. After all of this, the hotel tried to charge us for 10 extra meals because they didn’t understand the meal count I sent (which could have been avoided if there was a form to fill out.) We also had numerous issues with room reservations. Our experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing, and I would recommend finding another venue for your wedding.
