  Engagement Party

  I can't say enough wonderful things about the CLCC staff and experience! I hosted my sister's engagement party at CLCC and was blown away by their level of professionalism and flexibility. With hosting an event during this uncertain time (COVID), I wasn't sure how everything would pan out but Kara, Kate and the entire team blew me away. They went above and beyond to ensure that my guests were taken care of and enjoyed themselves. I would absolutely recommend hosting an event at CLCC. Thank you to this remarkable team for all they did!

  BEAUTIFUL space and caring, professional staff!! My Aunts hosted my Bridal Shower at CLCC and It was an absolute dream come true. The space was decorated beautifully, staff was very accommodating and the food and drinks were exceptional. We had the pleasure of working with Dedra for my special day. She was with us every step up the way! Her attention to detail and caring demeanor, along with her wonderful staff, truly made for the perfect day. I highly recommend CLCC for any special event or private party!

  The Crystal Lake Country Club was the last place my husband and I toured when we were looking to book a venue. As soon as we walked in we knew right away it was the place for us! With almost 200 guests and wanting to have an outdoor ceremony, the Country Club checked all the boxes. But one of the best parts was THE PRICE! I can't express to you enough how reasonably priced the packages were. On top of that, the food was unbelievable! We still receive cards and texts to this day, telling us how beautiful the wedding was and how badly they crave the spinach raviolis. True story! With a room full of Italians, the toughest food critics of them all, you know the food was awesome when it still leaves an impression 4 months later! Along with the great food, the service was amazing. Everything was served hot and on a timely manner. Honestly, that is how the whole day went, perfect. I was warned by others that no matter what, something was going to go wrong on your wedding day. For months leading up to the day, I was preparing myself knowing that at least one thing was going to go wrong. Not us! Dedra, the General Manager, strived to make your day absolutely perfect and that is exactly what happened. Every detail I gave her was done and implemented the day of. The staff did an awesome job. I am truly one of the biggest advocates for the Crystal Lake Country Club. I tell everyone and anyone to go check it out when I hear couples are looking for a venue. We traveled far and near and nothing can compare to what you found here. I highly recommend and I am happy to be a reference.

  We had our wedding at Crystal Lake Country Club in July, 2018. Everything was amazing. Such a caring, wonderful staff. The food was terrific and planning easy. Words cannot express the beautiful setting. Pictures are proof. Highly recommend this venue. Great club all around.

  We can't say enough good things about Gary and his staff at CLCC. First of all, the total wedding package included passed hors d'ouvres, plated dinner, cake, coffee, wine with dinner, alcoholic beverages, and bartending/waitstaff service. This setup made it easy to plan pricing, as we weren't being nickel and dimed along the way.
  
  Secondly, the pricing on the packages was fantastic. In addition to the fantastic prices, the food was TOP quality as well. CLCC always does a lovely job with their food, and our wedding was no exception. We got compliments on everything from the salad and rolls all the way to the entrees and coffee bar. This is a place where you can serve your guests chicken to save some money and still be ensured that the meal will be unique and delicious.
  
  Third, the outside vendor CLCC used for our cake (since, at the time, they did not have an in-house pastry chef, although this changes from year to year, and when they DO have one, she is fantastic) was great. The cake was tasty and GORGEOUS. I never had to go for a tasting or to oversee that the cake was being made as I envisioned. I described what I wanted, and I got exactly that.
  
  Lastly, this place doesn't mess up. Gary is a consummate professional-- responsive, courteous, timely, and straighforward. He lets you know well in advance what is allowed (for example, alternative floor plans or table layouts) and what isn't (for example, votive candles on the window sills). There are no last-minute "issues" with Gary. And he manages his staff well. There is NEVER a server who presents him/herself to you or your guests with anything less than a smile. You never wait for food or for your emplty plate to be removed or your drink filled. The impression your guests leave with at CLCC is that you spent a lot of money to ensure they were treated like long-standing members of the club, even thought most of them are first-time visitors, and what you really got was a bargain.
  
  I really could go on and on-- billing/invoicing was easy, the room was lovely, and CLCC worked well with my planner. And the location couldn't be better-- our wedding was in the fall and at this time of year the foliage around CLCC is phenomenal.
  
  I also had my rehearsal dinner here, and my baby shower. They've also catered several events at our home-- the fact that our wedding went well was NOT an anomaly. Superior service is par for the course at CLCC (pardon the pun!).

  Awesome Value and Experience

  We had to plan a micro ceremony in a pinch to the coronavirus pandemic. The Crystal Lake Country Club came through in a major way. They were able to accommodate us, including some last-minute requests. They were all extremely professional, kind, and courteous. The pricing was extremely reasonable, the food was good, and they had someone cut our cake for free.
  
  My only concerns involves planning of the seating at the reception, and initially trying to get ahold of the coordinator. I had to call a few times to get in touch with the coordinator, but as the ceremony approached she was extremely easy to get in contact with. Unfortunately, we were not able to have small reception in the same place as the ceremony. The ceremony was held in shaded area, while the reception was at the pool. Whoever set the seating did not put umbrellas on all of the tables, and put us in direct sunlight. When my family set against the wall, to get some shade (it was 92 degrees in the shade), they were asked to move to where the tables were already set. Once we explained there was no shade oh, they were very accommodating resetting the tables. The planner may want to rethink the ceremony/reception spots at the course. This was also on a Friday afternoon, so other areas were occupied.
  
  We were also given a room to help setup in 2 hours prior to the event which was a lifesaver. Finally, Kara was well organized on the day of the event, and helped keep things moving, while I was scrambling about. I would definitely recommend having an event here.
