Detour Winery Reviews

I recently had my wedding at Detour Winery and had my dream wedding. They were very helpful in making my day run smoothly and helped out with contacting my vendors and setting them up on site. The vineyard and the pond were gorgeous!

The baby shower went of without a hitch. The folks at Detour Winery were great to work with.

These guys were great in accommodating our wedding! They were responsive through-out the entire process, they were flexible with scheduling, and didn't mind us coming up for multiple visits as different family members wanted to see the venue. They worked closely with all our vendors to ensure everyone was ready to go. And even when an overnight thunderstorm took out the power to the bridal suite (which made it un-usable due to the heat) they didn't hesitate closing their tasting area early in order to accommodate the bride and her girls.

The only recommendation i would make is to make the AC situation a little better for the reception hall for summer weddings, but it's clear that they are constantly working on improving the venue, and making it better and better for years to come.

I would 100% recommend Detour, and thanks again to Dan and Sarah for the amazing help you guys were to us.

THIS VENUE IS BEAUTIFUL IN SO MANY WAYS, AND HAS A LOT OF POTENTIAL FOR FUTURE EVENTS. EVERYONE I SPOKE TO WAS VERY POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY ACCOMMIDATED MY WEDDING IN VERY SHORT NOTICE. HOWEVER, NOTHING THEY TOLD ME WOULD BE DONE BEFORE MY WEDDING DAY WAS DONE. I WAS TOLD THERE WOULD BE A DECK BUILT ON THE RECEPTION HALL, AND THE DRIVEWAY LEADING TO THE OUTDOOR CEREMONY AREA WOULD BE PAVED OR ATLEAST ROLLED AND PACKED DOWN, NEITHER ONE OF THESE THINGS WERE DONE. THEREFORE, MY GUESTS HAD TO WALK IN LOOSE GRAVEL TO GET TO THE CEREMONY AREA. THE GRASS WAS CUT ON THE MORNING OF MY WEDDING DAY LEAVING GRASS CLIPPINGS EVERYWHERE. ON TO THE BRIDAL SUITE, THE TOILET WAS LEAKING AND WOULD NOT FLUSH ALL DAY AND THE ELECTRIC TO THE SUITE WAS SHUT OFF EARLY. I WAS TOLD BEFORE THE CEREMONY THAT I HAD TO HAVE THE BRIDAL SUITE CLEANED OUT BEFORE THE END OF THE RECEPTION OR ALL OF OUR THINGS WOULD BE LOCKED INSIDE AND WE WOULDNT BE ABLE TO GET THEM OUT. ON TO THE RECEPTION, WE WERE TOLD IF WE RAN OUT OF BEER WE COULD GO GET MORE, WHEN THAT TIME CAME THEY DID NOT WANT TO LET US DRINK IT. THEY WERE ALSO HAVING A PUBLIC TASTING THE DAY OF MY WEDDING, BLOCKING OFF PARKING SPACES ( WHICH THERE WERENT MANY OF TO BEGIN WITH) AND MAKING THE GROOM AND HIS GROOMSMAN DRESS IN THE RECEPTION AREA. THE BATHROOMS WERE IN THE TASTING ROOM SO EVERYTIME WE WENT TO USE THE RESTROOMS THERE WERE A BUNCH OF STRANGERS SITTING IN THERE STARING AT US. THE TOILET PAPER WAS NOT KEPT UP IN THE TWO BATHROOMS THAT WERE BEING USED FOR 160 PEOPLE. IF THE PERSON YOU TALK TO ALL THE TIME WAS ABLE TO MAKE MORE DECISIONS INSTEAD OF HAVING TO GO TO THE OWNER THEN GETTING BACK TO YOU I THINK THINGS WOULD GO MUCH SMOOTHER. LUCKILY I WAS A VERY LAID BACK BRIDE SO I DID NOT HAVE A BRIDEZILLA MELTDOWN ON THE DAY OF MY WEDDING AND I MADE THE BEST OUT OF IT! WITH ALL OF THAT BEING SAID IF SOME CHANGES ARE MADE THIS WOULD BE A GREAT VENUE TO BE MARRIED AT, IF NOT, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.
