I don't have enough kind words to express our gratitude towards Carmen and her team, Kate & Gloria. Our wedding planner quit 3 months before our destination wedding and left us in the dark but Kate and Gloria turned it all around. They were always there to help us and really put us first. Professional, smart, hard-working, amazing women that genuinely love and care about what they do. I'd recommend Devoted to You Inc in a heart beat.

Probably the best testimony we can give is that we were near stress-free. Throughout the planning process and even on the big day, friends and family commented on how we were the most relaxed couple they'd ever seen.
Carmen and her team are very thorough with their planning. All of our initial concerns with budget, headcount (300) and day of scheduling were quickly washed away. Our challenges with the final reception vision; every suggestion, idea and referral shared by Carmen was spot on. Even the small uncontrollable mishaps we had on the wedding day became more entertaining than worrisome. We were very lucky to find someone we could trust completely with our wedding.

We are very happy to say that our wedding was exactly what we wanted and we were able to enjoy every minute of it.

Carmen made our dream wedding come true!! As two individuals with very busy working schedules and the added challenge of planning a wedding out of town, Carmen was an exceptional in helping us every step along the way. Her main strength is her impeccable work ethic - she is ALWAYS available - whenever and wherever you need her. We were so assured during the planning process knowing that she is keeping us on track and that we can always go to her for anything. Carmen listens to our suggestions, and tries to tailor to our specific needs, vision, and budget. Not to mention, she is a great problem solver when we come across inevitable glitches in the process. She was also perfect for communicating with our Chinese family and incorporating our culture into the wedding. And finally, on the big day, we were able to enjoy every moment of it and not stress one bit because we knew Carmen and her team was taking care of everything else. Carmen was so amazing! She helped us navigate through our Chinese & western wedding. She's familiar with all the traditions and got us through the Tea ceremony and the civil/western ceremony. She found us the best vendors, and stayed within budget. Most importantly with her and her team's help I was able to enjoy the actual day with minimal stress. If my wedding were a play, then Carmen was the director, stage crew, lighting, and sound tech making the magic happen while I pranced through the day. I told her she was the third arm that I didn't know I needed on the day of, but really, she helped us carry stuff from one site to another, corralled my family members for a tea ceremony, even offered to send someone to my house to pick up extra contacts when my only pair accidentally got flushed down the drain... She's amazing and so is her team. Did I mention she's super organized and punctual and highly experienced? She brought copies of our itinerary to every meeting, which was great because we often forgot to. Flexible with meeting times & locations too. 110% would hop on this train again.

Having planned a couple weddings before where I was in the wedding party, I knew when it came to my own, on the day-of I wanted to sit, back relax and just enjoy myself. That's why I booked Devoted To You for their Month of Coordination services. Since I don't live in Toronto, we did our meetings over skype and they came up with some great questions and suggestions I hadn't thought of on my own. The day of the wedding I was completely relaxed and just enjoyed every second of our wedding knowing that Carmen and Kate were taking care of all the nitty gritty details behind the scene and making sure everything ran smoothly. It was the best decision we made to hire them for our wedding! I know some couples go back and forth on whether to invest the money on coordinators because they think they can just do it themselves...but trust me, it's worth every penny because it allows YOU to actually be present and enjoy your special day!

Carmen has been extremely thoughtful during the whole wedding planning process, she has made the tedious and scary process organised and easy.

First and foremost, Carmen is extremely passionate about what she does and bringing joy to her friends. Here I used 'friends' instead of 'clients' because my wife and I really felt being in great hands of a long time friend. Planning for a wedding, after first hand experience, is extremely difficult and nerve wrecking, and to us, the feeling of having an experienced friend looking out for us was paramount.

Secondly, organisation and experience. Our understanding of the wedding planning was this big unmanageable mess, but since Carmen was an such outstanding seasoned veteran, she offered detailed plan and timeline, and executed on point, so we never felt behind or rushed along the way. We always had plenty time at each step to review all details, which allowed us to make great decisions on every aspect of our wedding.

Third, representation and budgeting. Carmen accompanied us throughout the entire 6 months. She was not only there with us at every important meeting with vendors, wedding venue, etc, she represented our best interest. She was always the first to voice our concern on our behalf at any situation that arose. In addition, she always tried her best to negotiate the best deal for us for the most value returned, hence how we stayed within budget :D

Last but not least, close connections to great vendors. Not only was Carmen a pleasure to work with, all vendors she introduced for DJ, music band, designer, decoration, were passionate groups of utter most professionalism. Every part of our wedding was surreal because we were in unbelievable hands. From photographer, to band, to DJ, to designing, we owe our hugely successful wedding to the lovely and extremely responsible vendors with whom Carmen had put us in contact with.

Wow...there are so many wonderful things to say about Devoted To You...From the moment we started working with Carmen she was amazingly professional, unbelievable responsive, organized and resourceful. There was not a moment where she was not on top of things, preemptively answering our questions/concerns and making our vision come true for our wedding...not such an easy task given that it was in Florence. The vendors (not only talented, but such wonderful people) she used in town and the ones in Florence, Italy were phenomenal and although she was not at the actual wedding in Italy she not only worked with us to the moment we got on the plane, but continued to handling things/organizing when we landed and was in constant communication the entire time despite her local wedding planner (who was also a phenomenal choice) by our side in Florence. It was Carmen's impeccable resources, attention to detail (my detail as I was the bride) and hard work that made our wedding magical! I am still in withdrawal from it all. Thank you to the entire team...wishing you all the success in your future party planning....

We planned our wedding from a different city and Carmen and Kate were so helpful during the month before our wedding. Carmen went out of her way and transported a van's worth of items to our venue downtown. Kate kept us on track on the day of our wedding and insured everything happened on schedule. Thank you, Carmen and Kate, for helping to make our wedding day so special and stress-free for both of us.

To say that Carmen and her team are amazing wedding planners would be an understatement. On our big day, my husband and I were completely basked in joy and praises throughout the day: every detail was well attended to and every aspect was well considered. Needless to say, our guests enjoyed the wedding just as much as we did; many of them even dubbed our wedding as their dream/fantasy wedding. All thanks to Carmen.

Our wedding was an Indian and Chinese outdoor wedding. Carmen and her professional assistant Kate were able to gracefully orchestrate the wedding under the late July heat, on the vast acres of venue site. She thinks 2 steps ahead of everyone and goes the extra mile to ensure the smooth operation of the wedding.

Of course none of these would have been possible without her impeccable planning expertise. Our preparation time was relatively short. Thankfully, with Carmen and her team guiding us along the way, accommodating both our expectation and budget, the preparation flowed pleasantly and care-free for us.

All in all, Carmen not only is professional, efficient, detail-oriented, resourceful, but above all, genuinely cares for us and our wedding. We would certainly trust her with our future events, and most absolutely, recommend all couples to trust their big days with her.

Carmen is a wonderful wedding planner. She is friendly, patient and thorough. She is never intrusive, but always remains hands-on enough to move things along in the planning process. Carmen was an extremely AMAZING wedding planner - from beginning to end she helped out with all the big and small problems. She voices her opinions to suggest ideas that would enhance the wedding experience for both guests and brides+groom. Her organization skills are impeccable - which helped us stayed on track planning-wise and budget-wise. Considering how busy (which is understated during a wedding) it is throughout the day, she would coordinate with all the wedding vendors to ensure that everything is completed to perfection so that the bride+groom could enjoy their night as much as the guests. My wife and I would like to thank Carmen and her team for flawlessly planning and executing our wedding last month. Honestly, given what I've heard from my friends who have also gotten married, weddings are far from flawless, especially the day of. I think ours was probably the same, but Carmen was always there to handle any problems, delays, and whatnot. And for the bride and groom, to not have to see any of these things happening in the background...well, that's what a good wedding planner is for. So from our viewpoint, it WAS flawless! Carmen is undeniably passionate about her work. She is hard working, thoughtful, and will take the extra step to plan through your wedding experience. For us, Carmen was the right choice to plan our destination wedding in Florence. With experience planning many destination weddings, not to mention her own (also in Florence!), her expertise and reliable local counterpart made her a great team to work with. Always happy to go back to the drawing board, she provided lots (and I mean LOTS) of options to work with, for venues and vendors. Carmen was able to very thoroughly plan the requirements for each vendor we dealt with and would work around the clock to suit Italy time. In particular, she was able to nail our floral decor requirements, including coordinating a mock up of our main harvest table which took many iterations to ensure our design would be executed as planned.
