I hosted our company Holiday Party at the One Six Sky Lounge last Friday. It is an absolutely beautiful location with fantastic views of the Las Vegas Valley. I could not fault anything and they run like a well-oiled machine. The Banquet and Catering Manager, Jenn is a pleasure to work with and was extremely accommodating with all of my requests. Dion, who oversaw the whole event was on top of everything, so it ran smoothly and without any issues. All of the staff were very friendly and professional. The buffet food was delicious! We will definitely be returning for future parties and I recommend One Six without hesitation for weddings, corporate events and any other celebrations. -

Ladonna Sent on 04/21/2011Joanne set up my group rates for my out of town guests at a wonderful price!!! They were very hospitable and the staff was very friendly and helpful to all of my guests! I feel they were a lot better then any of the on strip hotels could have ever been! -

This venue is incredible. We used the One Six on the sixteenth floor. It has floor to ceiling windows with balconies and great views of the strip. Our guests were amazed at the view. The food was also incredible. People are still talking about the maple pecan chicken two weeks later. Additionally, they made sure we had the best food available. When the ribs they ordered came in and were sub-par, they made sure to replace it with an amazing steak. -

Both me and my fiancee had been to this venue for a quinceañera prior to booking it for our wedding. We visited another venue which was all inclusive but was much more expensive than the Eastside Cannery and we did not know if the food would be good. We had already tried the food at Eastside and fell in love with it. The venue itself is pretty big and the view is pretty neat. I am looking forward towards our wedding next year!!!! -

I had my celebration at this venue several months ago and it was fantastic! Jenn and her team executed all parts of my event plan and made it easy for me to facilitate all the moving parts. I will definitely look to this venue for any future events. Great view and great food! -

My 4th of July wedding!
I got married at the hotel, having both the ceremony and the reception in the One Six Sky Lounge. Staff worked with me and all my design ideas to make my big day awesome. My husband and I stayed at the hotel along with most of my guest. I brag about my 4th of July wedding in Vegas all the time. Best view of the cities fireworks ever! -

So the venue itself is perfect. The staff and crew there were helpful, professional, and just fun to work with the day of.
Jenn helped us from day one with booking and small details, and although she ultimately did get us to sign on to it, I don’t really feel like she was interested in SELLING the experience. However, I give her credit for being available for me and my family to visit the venue whenever we needed to over the course of 10 months.
Now here comes the hard part. So when you book this venue, you get offered the bridal suite for the evening, a room block if you want to pay for some of your guests to stay in the hotel, and a discount code for those who are paying for their own rooms.
The bridal suite is bomb. I wish we could’ve stayed longer.
The discount code for those paying for their own rooms is good too.
THE ROOM BLOCK THOUGH... So that goes through group sales. The execution is pretty simple, they explain it very well, give you special confirmation codes for each person staying in a room, etc., and you think you’re good.
The problem is when your guests get to the front desk and the staff doesn’t ask for any confirmation code, or anything related to a room booking. Now, all of our guests were older folk, so that didn’t fair very well for us. Between me and my father, we had to go down there several times to get everything figured out and everyone checked in. Sometimes one of the girls just gets mean about it.
Then god forbid you try to switch a name on one of the rooms. Even if YOU created the room block, if your name isn’t attached to the room you are making changes to, theyre not going to let you change a damn thing.
We cleared everything up eventually after speaking with a manager, but if you don’t stay calm, you’re gonna have a bad time.
TLDR: Venue is fantastic, just be wary of the convoluted room block bookings and be sure to have all communications available to reference. I’ve been talking to group sales on how the process can be improved, so hopefully if you consider this venue, it will be a lot more simple. -
