We had an absolutely wonderful experience working with Fogcutter for our Sept 2019 wedding at Ru's Farm in Healdsburg. The food was delicious across the board, and many of our guests complimented us on it! We loved how the team was so attuned to what was in season and what would be in the spirit of the wine country, casual family dining approach that we were going for. And the way they plated and served everything was gorgeous. The staff was helpful and professional at the wedding itself.
The process of working with Caroline and her team couldn't have been more pleasant and easy. We had great email communication with them over the course of a year, and Caroline was always prompt and helpful in answering all of our questions and getting to a good solution together. The tasting at their SF location was a) yummy, and b) a productive way for us to talk about what we liked and what we didn't like, and the team developed some tweaks on existing menu items based on that discussion. And, as we got down to the wire and realized that we had to deal with an insane number of dietary restrictions (including one person who requested no salt) the team could not have been more gracious and willing to deal with those special requests at no extra charge.
We were also happy with the way we were able to negotiate items to stay within our budget, including doing family style salad instead of plated to save $$, and bringing our own wine because we were required to purchase from the venue instead of doing their wine package. It certainly wasn't cheap but we felt the final total was entirely reasonable for what we got.
TL;DR we would HIGHLY recommend Fogcutter and only wish we had more reasons to keep working with them! -

Incredible Food + Wonderful Team
We really couldn't have imagined a better team to work with for our wedding! Everything — from the food, the service, the team — was just perfect.
My husband and I love food and wanted the dinner at our wedding to be delicious & memorable. As part of the planning process, we reached out to Fogcutter and gave them a list of our favorite dishes at our favorite restaurants in San Francisco, and asked which they could help re-create for our 140-person wedding in Napa Valley, and they blew it out of the park!
It just truly a delight to work with Caroline and Guillermo. While I never want to plan another wedding again, I would love to find a reason to host another dinner catered by the Fogcutter team because it was just SO good. All of our guests — best wedding food ever. -

My husband and I hired Fogcutter for our July 2019 wedding in San Francisco and I don’t even know where to start with how wonderful they are!
The food was beautiful and delicious. Almost every single one of our guests individually came up to us either at the wedding or afterwards to tell us how good it was. And the wedding cake was the best cake I have ever had.
But beyond the food, all of Fogcutter's staff were amazing. The service was great, professional, courteous, quick, but more importantly to us everybody was so friendly and happy which only added to how special the day was.
Last but not least - Therese was our absolute hero! She made everything so easy for us throughout the whole process. She always knew the answers to our questions, was so responsive to our various menu ideas, helped reassure us about so many little steps along the way and always made us feel like wedding was special. What more can you ask for! -

After our original caterer fell through one month before our wedding, we were in a scramble to find a replacement. Fortunately, we found Fogcutter, and long story short, we’re SO happy our first caterer fell through so that we could be lucky enough to have Fogcutter for our wedding.
Although Fogcutter had multiple events over our wedding weekend, they generously wanted to help us out because they’re genuinely great people. Our contact with Therese & team was wonderful from day one, all the way through the wedding. She was responsive, helpful, and made everything easy. Within a week of contacting them, we had an intro call, a tasting, and our menu finalized.
During our wedding, they were professional and kind, and provided impeccable service. Our guests raved about the food AND how great the staff was. There was no shortage of food, with guests feasting on multiple appetizers and second helpings during our family-style dinner. The quality, quantity, and variety of food was incredible, and no one was disappointed. Two of our friends who are engaged have already asked us who our caterer was since they want to have them for their own wedding (the ultimate compliment!). -

Wow, wow, wow. Caroline and her team were simply incredible along every step of planning and executing our wedding! Fogcutter is so much more than a catering company. Truly an event one-stop-shop. Caroline was so organized, thorough, and thoughtful while helping me plan everything from the color linens I wanted, to the floor plan layout, to the timeline of events, to the simply DELICIOUS menu they put together for us. The menu had something for everyone, was seasonally relevant, and I've been told by many guests one of the best meals they've ever had let alone THE best meal they've had at a wedding. The service was exemplary, and the pace of passed apps followed by our buffet dinner was seamless. The vendors Fogcutter works with are also so professional and just as incredible as Fogcutter, so naturally they all make a great team! Nancy from Wooden Nickel helped us tailor our signature cocktail to something accessible and truly refreshing, and I had Fogcutter's floral contact Ashley from Wild Club do my husband's boutonniere and my floral crown. Needless to say, the floral crown was just BEAUTIFUL- truly something I've only seen in my dreams! I loved working with Fogcutter, and cannot thank them or recommend them enough! -

I recently coordinated a wedding that Fogcutter was hired for. They were phenomenal to work with. They handled the food and drinks, of course, but also managed coordinating all the rentals for the client. Theresa was a dream to work with. She was professional, responsive, and helpful throughout the entire process. The wedding went off without a hitch, thanks to this wonderful team. -

I had a very specific vision for the food at our wedding, and Fogcutter matched that vision perfectly. I wanted fresh, modern, California cuisine, served family style, so when I found Fogcutter I was really excited. After our tasting with them, we knew they were the one, and didn't bother doing tastings with anyone else. Many of our guests and our vendors (like our DJ and our photographer) told us that the food at our wedding was the best they had ever had!
Therese and Guillermo were also great to work with. Therese was very responsive, and patiently worked with us through many customizations to the menu, and adding a cake to our order at the last minute (which was also delicious!). She also coordinated our entire rental order, so we didn't have to worry about coordinating with yet another vendor. Guillermo (the chef) went out of his way during the wedding day to check up on us and make sure that we were happy with everything. He also gave us leftovers to take home after the wedding :)
Overall, our experience working with Fogcutter was great, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone else planning their wedding. -
Alex Sent on 06/16/2018I cannot imagine anyone doing a more impeccable job than Fogcutter did every step of the way for our wedding last month. Caroline is fabulously responsive and super accommodating, and pulled together a seriously GORGEOUS meal for 90 within what we were starting to fear was an impossibly small budget. We opted for the buffet which they did so, so beautifully, bringing their own gorgeous and unique serving dishes (no fugly silver chafing dishes here!), and right after the ceremony, they even brought my husband and I a little tray of all of our appetizers from cocktail hour so we could enjoy them while we were off taking family portraits and having a few moments alone together before joining the party — such a nice touch! Fogcutter also handled our personal florals (bridal party bouquets and boutonierres), which turned out really beautifully as well!
And oh my god, THE FOOD! Literally all of our guests told us this was the best (and healthiest! Fogcutter offers so many delicious, vegetable-forward side dishes) meal they’ve ever had at a wedding, hands down. And we totally agree! I have been straight up dreaming about their fabulous lemon ricotta ravioli with pea shoots and a hint of chili oil ever since our tasting a few months before the wedding — SO GOOD!
Thank you so, so much Caroline, Guillermo and team for making our wedding so delicious, beautiful and FUN!
