There are a lot of beautiful places to get married in Austin, but I doubt none with owners quite as lovely as Shon and Jani. They were with us every single step of the way, and went above and beyond to help make sure our day was absolutely perfect. Jani was always just a call or text away.

My husband and I are from New York and California and so the majority of our guests came from out of town, so we booked the venue for the entire weekend. We didn't want to spend the weekend rushing from restaurant to bar to hotel, so having our rehearsal dinner and then an intimate gathering afterwards at the venue made the weekend so incredibly relaxing. Our wedding party was also able to stay on the property in Garden Grove's adorable cabanas.

The bridal suite is absolutely spectacular, and has a bathroom dreams are made of. My husband's getting ready accomodations were also really nice-- a huge airplane hangar-style bar/man cave with big comfy recliners and flat screens.

We also opted to use the venue's sailcloth tent. Beautifully lit with string lights, it was a perfect compliment to the stunning grounds.

The venue is a great value because they provide tables and chairs, and have add-ons like the tent and dance floor. It was nice not having to bring in additional vendors for those. We were also able to keep it really simple with flowers and lighting because the venue is already so lush, and the string lights around the pool and the heritage oak trees are included. The weekend truly could not have been more perfect and Garden Grove was a big reason why.

We highly recommend Garden Grove Event Venue! Jani and Shon, the owners, go above and beyond to help make sure your day can include everything you ever dreamed of. The property is beautiful all on its own, we did not even feel that any decorations were needed. Every guest was in awe of the venue, it’s beauty was the main topic of conversation. We booked the venue Friday - Sunday, so all of our wedding party could stay in the beautifully decorated and exceptionally comfortable cabins. We got to stay in the gorgeous honeymoon suite. For the wedding, we were able to use the many “yard games” they have available, which all of our guests (especially the kiddos) had a blast playing with. Garden Grove was especially perfect for a summer wedding as there is plenty of places with a/c for guests to hang out indoors (sitting room, game room, bar, etc), but also tons of shade under the trees so that even outside didn’t feel too bad.
Being a same-sex couple, we were worried about venues in Texas taking issue with us. Where other venue people had given us strange looks, Jani and Shon never even batted at eye! They were so supportive, and helped us problem solve all of the somewhat non-traditional ideas we had in our heads. Throughout the whole planning process, they were there to answer any questions we had- or offer suggestions when we needed them. Wedding planning is HARD, but working with Garden Grove definitely relieved so much of that stress. We left Sunday morning feeling like we had gained another set of parents.
You really cannot go wrong booking Garden Grove for one of the most special days of your life. HIGHLY recommended!

Jani and Shon Saliga, the owners of Garden Grove, are the most amazing people to help you plan your wedding! We planned our wedding a year and a half in advance, and the whole time we felt them by our side. They were always open to give tours to family members that wanted to see the venue and even if we wanted to just stop by for a chat. They are so flexible, basically all the decisions are up to you. It’s such a better experience when there are no required vendors, it allows you to make the wedding truly yours. The venue is beautiful and they put SO MUCH care and dedication into making sure the venue is naturally beautiful and that you can utilize any space you’d like. I highly recommend having your wedding at Garden Grove!

We got married in October 2018, so I’m WAY overdue as I kept procrastinating to write the most “perfect and thoughtful” review. Now that we’re all quarantining, I wanted to make sure Garden Grove is top of mind for all the couples who are currently scoping wedding venues as their original wedding plans may have changed, postponed their date, or recently got engaged.

Whether you’re from the Austin area or planning a destination wedding, Garden Grove is the place to host your special day. Why? Because:

- The owners, Jani and Shon are outstanding communicators with both you and your vendors. They don’t book other couples, during the weekend, meaning you can do all the walkthroughs, drop off items before your big day and/or after, etc. without feeling like you’re tiptoeing around another couple’s wedding.
- You have tons of indoor and outdoor options to work with due to their extremely spacious home (I’m talking acres of jaw dropping views), so you can plan your wedding celebration to be as big or intimate you want.
- It’s located in the Hill Country so the landscape is absolutely stunning, but also just a short drive to Austin proper where your guests can experience all that the city has to offer throughout your wedding weekend.
- They provide many pieces of furniture (tables, chairs, wine barrels, etc.) which helps cut down the extra out of pocket fees.
- Your guests and family will feel super taken care of and comfortable, creating a seamless and priceless experience all couples deserve.
- The get ready rooms are spacious with tons of mirrors and amenities to prep before your ceremony, making it the ultimate space to take amazing pics with your photographers
- Competitive pricing for the countless amenities available
- You can have some of your more adventurous guests go glamping on the property if they’d prefer!

My husband and I still look back fondly at our epic day and are grateful for gracious and kind people like Jani and Shon who bring out the best parts of the wedding industry (beware, there are some sharks out there)! Highly recommend Garden Grove!

Picking Garden Grove as our wedding venue proved to be the BEST decision we made throughout this entire process. Jani and Shaun are amazing hosts and made me feel like family right away. The venue is everything you are looking for with beautifully maintained gardens, a sparkling pool with water feature, state of the art bar area, string lights among the beautiful Texas hill country backdrop. We got married in the spring and our day couldn't have been more perfect. Since they schedule 1 wedding per weekend, I was able to drop off everything I needed Friday night for my Saturday wedding so that Saturday morning, all I had to do was show up! My wedding weekend was TOTALLY stress free and never once did I feel hurried or spread too thin. After the wedding was over I was able to leave everything at the venue so I could be whisked off to our afterparty. Since family was in town until Sunday, I wasn't able to pick up the rest of my stuff until Monday which was TOTALLY fine with Jani and Shaun. They were more than accommodating to my needs and schedule and made me feel like home every time I visited or wanted to show another member of my family the venue. If you are a dog person, their 4 dogs were one of the highlights of visiting their property every time :). In addition, parking was super easy and was not a problem as their property has plenty of room for any size wedding. All in all, I was OVER THE MOON with the venue, they met all my expectations and needs with flying colors!

I can't begin to express how wonderful it was to have my wedding at Garden Grove. My husband and I were married on 4/8/2017 and it was PERFECT.

We had visited about 10 other venues that we were mostly underwhelmed by. Then we walked into Garden Grove and immediately knew that was where we'd be getting married. Jani and Shon greeted us with champagne and gave us the grand tour. Then we sat down under the trees and got to know each other. Jani and Shon live on the property and it's basically their home. They have weddings there because they love inviting families into their home for these wonderful celebrations. We did pay a little more for Garden Grove than the other venues we were looking at, but what we got for our money was SO MUCH MORE.

The property is stunning. It's like a California winery (without the wine). Shon is an amazing gardener. He spends so much time cultivating the gardens to the point that we hardly needed a florist. The natural beauty of Garden Grove was what made us want to get married there - we didn't have to add much at all.

Jani and Shon are also incredible, honest people. I loved getting to know them and spending time with them leading up to the wedding. Jani realized a few months after I'd paid her in full that she had accidentally charged me unnecessarily for taxes. She immediately cut us a check. I was so appreciative, as there are many people out there who would have kept the extra cash.

Another thing that was really helpful was that they only do one wedding per weekend so they can give you their full attention AND flexibility (which becomes important when you have deliveries and clean up to tend to).

If you want to be married in a garden under the trees on a beautiful estate out in hill country, Garden Grove is the way to go.

We were recently married here and believe me when I say that Garden Grove is absolutely, 100% PERFECT! Take this from a former, professional wedding planner with five years' experience in the wedding industry -- there are a lot of things I looked for in a venue, both from a professional and bride's perspective, and they definitely did not disappoint. Top priority for me is the service: The venue owners, Jani & Shon, go above and beyond anything I've ever seen when it comes to ensuring your experience is phenomenal. This is not just a business for them, and never once did we feel as if we were just another couple passing through to help them meet annual sales numbers (yes, there are venues out there like that). They genuinely love opening their space to their couples, and it shows in every single detail they've poured their hearts into. They are amazing people with huge hearts, and it reflects in every aspect of this incredible venue. We literally wouldn't have changed a single thing about our wedding weekend at Garden Grove (well, except maybe freezing time and extending the weekend for, like, ever...). From a planner's perspective, this space is *incredibly* versatile. It lends itself to a variety of space configurations which can allow for really creative design capabilities. We initially started with a small guest list of about 35 people, and the idea was to hold an intimate, dinner-only "reception" following our ceremony. We ultimately ended up going the more traditional route and opted for a tented reception with around 95 guests on one of their two beautiful lawn spaces. Whether you have 35 guests or 400, they have a space to accommodate. Taking things into consideration like parking, restrooms, lighting, vendor load-ins (and they're VERY flexible with setup & breakdown times, which is a happy-happy for everyone involved!), etc., etc. -- trust me when I say you can't go wrong. To sum our experience up in one word: Perfection.

My wife and I had the great fortune of finding Garden Grove before it hosted its first wedding. On a whim, we reached out to Jani while searching the hill country around Austin for a venue to host our marriage. Our search for the perfect venue was proving difficult as we had more than a few unique criteria we wanted to incorporate into our wedding.

We met Jani at Garden Grove soon after, and were immediately blown away by the wonderful beauty and elegance the site proudly displayed. Between the expansive greens in the back, the wonderful trees and various vegetation meticulously placed around the grounds and pool, and the fantastic Mediterranean architecture my wife and I felt we had found our venue. What made this place even better, however, was working with Jani to achieve the wedding we really wanted. Remember those criteria from earlier? Well, for starters we needed a venue that could host at least 300 people. At Garden Grove this was not an issue for ceremony or reception. Also, because so many guests were traveling out of state/internationally, we wanted a venue that stayed open past midnight to enjoy their company as much as possible. The ideal bar and “after party” space were already incorporated into the venue limiting the amount of extra rentals necessary to host an amazing celebration. Jani, upon hearing our intent to host our guests later than typically allowed, fully embraced the idea and even pushed us further - "why not have your guests stay the night?" This idea evolved into glamping, or renting nicer tents with all the accessories one would need (beds, rugs, lamps, etc.) to host our guests overnight. Glamping turned out to be a huge hit and we filled every square inch of the lower green with tents. The next morning we were able to chat with friends and family over breakfast and coffee before everyone parted ways. Jani worked with us to create the wedding of our dreams - we cannot recommend her and Garden Grove enough!

I recently got married here, and I cannot say enough for Garden Grove! I do not say this lightly; it was absolutely perfect. It's new as a wedding venue so it's still a hidden gem, but I know that it will NOT be hidden for long! Nothing in the area even comes close to this estate home that has been turned into a venue. We just happened to stumble upon this venue after our original one fell through and the owners made magic happen to get it completely ready (as it was just being finished) in time for our wedding day. Up-scale, creative, natural, and absolutely beautiful. It was a joy to work with Jani and Shon (owners), who were so caring and can make anything you need happen. We are still hearing from so many of our guests how it was the best wedding they've been to, largely in part due to where we had it. It has unique (yet completely customizable) spaces for everyone to enjoy, and doesn't just feel like a "venue." I could go on and on. If you're looking for a place for your most special day that is elegant, yet warm and inviting, completely customizable for your design, and that will be truly memorable then this is the place. It's absolutely amazing!
