    Dream Wedding

    I was never one to be held up on the little things, but Tracy at Hilton Omaha and her team took care of all the little details that I didn’t even realize would be important. It made a huge difference for my wedding!! My suite was beautiful and spacious so that my 7 bridesmaids and I could get ready and take pictures!! The ceremony was elegant and beautiful thanks so the suggestions and support from Tracy. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Beautiful downtown location and perfect service. Couldn’t have had a more perfect day/location!!! Hilton Omaha was wonderful!!!

    Absolutely perfect!

    Having our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception and room block all at one location was extremely convenient for all of our guests! Plus it helped me with planning. It was a one stop shop for everything and it had everything we needed! If I could do it all over again - I would do it the exact same way :) It was absolutely perfect!

    My experience with the Hilton Downtown was exceptional! I worked with Emily Jewell - Catering Manager - and she was a lifesaver when it came to planning our special day. She was very knowledgeable on all of the things that the Hilton offered. She gave great recommendations on the layout of the room, the up lighting, music, food, decor, etc. True professional. She was always so prompt in responding to my several emails daily!

    We selected a package deal with the Hilton that included the chair covers, chair ties, up lighting, large monogram with our names for the wall, open bar, and our meal. It made everything so easy for us. We weren't running around adding vendors to make the room look great; the Hilton literally offered everything that we wanted! They beat out all the other hotels that we looked into in the downtown area too. I was worried that it was out of our price range and almost didn't go meet with them, but I'm sure glad that I did!

    The hotel has big windows that allow for good lighting and everything looks brand new. It rained a little on our wedding day so we ended up then a few pictures inside the event center area and they turned out great. I'm very pleased. Emily has great taste and was able to make decisions quickly when changes would pop up last minute. She took the wedding day stress away completely! I trusted that she would handle anything that popped up that day and she did. If you are in the process of finding your venue, go meet with Emily Jewell. You will be just as pleased as I was working with her to make your day special. Thank you Emily!

    Food was amazing! Our wedding was over a month ago and people are still commenting on it. We worked with Gina and truly couldn't be more pleased. We came up with a candle center piece idea and provided the supplies and her staff assembled them all!

    We felt like we certainly got what we paid for.

    This hotel was great with helping me setup wedding room blocks. Also, we got ready at the Hilton on wedding morning in a corner suite which had plenty of room for my girls. We also did our first look here; they have beautiful big windows and a pretty lobby that worked well for pictures.

    Initially I was against having a hotel wedding but looking at the Hilton it was a gorgeous facility and seemed like a good way to make things convenient. Well, part way through the planning process the coordinator I was working with left (due to her husbands job transfer), then I worked with the catering manager, and then I ended up working with the current coordinator. There were way too many people involved and I felt that things were going to get dropped. Then certain things I was told initially were not true or they were not going to accommodate anymore. I met several times with the current coordinator and at the last meeting I was pretty comfortable turning things over to her.... until I received a call a few days before the wedding letting me know that they wanted us to pay an extra $7000 and they wanted us to prepay for the bar (no.). I was not able to even enjoy the days leading up the wedding due to this mess of a bill that we thought we had pretty much paid outside of the bar and tip. When I sent in my final numbers I asked if I needed to break it down into adults and children there was no response back so we had to pay for children that we were told would not be charged for. Then the day of the wedding the coordinator was not even at the hotel when vendors were arriving to set up, things were getting delivered to the wrong areas. The guys were supposed to have a conference room near the ballroom to change and hang out in, no one else in the hotel knew about it so they were just waiting around. Some items we requested on our buffet were not there and when I mentioned it to the catering manager on duty that night he essentially said that it's not his issue since the buffet was customized. Yes, the food was good and its a very nice space. My suite was also right next to all of the rooms in our wedding block, which I was not crazy about. Gorgeous place but watch the bill and hire your own coordinator.
