Quantcast

As an MOB we had a very good experience with Historic Rosemont manor. They responded to our inquiries quickly, had some less expensive options which fit our budget, and were very easy to work with. The place is gorgeous both inside and out. And since they were not busy on the day of the wedding they were very kind to even give us a little extra space to work with as the young ladies got ready. We were able to have an outdoor wedding, but the owner, Biff Genda, has a couple of great back up plans for steady rain or an unexpected thunderstorm. The catering hall called the Carriage house was a great size for the 111 guests we had which I am sure could have accommodated more than that. It was cool when we entered and it stayed cool the entire time. They even have a separate space for hair and make-up which doubled as a room for babysitting during the ceremony and the cocktail hour. We went with Rosemont's preferred caterer called Celebrations Catering at Whitehall Manor. They really were great. So nice to work with and the food was delicious and the service seamless. Everyone at my daughter's wedding had a wonderful time. Don't be afraid to think outside the box. My daughter and her husband had no DJ and no dancing, only quiet music in the background and people played yard games instead. No one had to shout over loud music. It was great.

About

A fine Virginia mansion in the Shenandoah Valley, Rosemont has been a landmark in the Northern Virginia area since its original construction in 1811 and a haven for the Washington elite. Purchased in the late 1920s by the late Virginia Governor and U.S. Senator Harry F. Byrd, Sr., Rosemont would come to be visited by Presidents Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon, as well as many well-known celebrities and historical figures.

If you are looking for a wedding venue that is rich in both beautiful elegance and historic charm, you won't find a more perfect location than Rosemont. With a total of 11 well-appointed suites and guest rooms available in the main manor house, Rosemont can easily accommodate your friends and family. We also have three guest houses and a honeymoon cottage, and can host up to 75 overnight guests on site.

For Your Ceremony and Reception...

There are several outdoor sites on the 60-acre grounds to choose from for your ceremony and reception. You might decide to get married on the East Lawn with its stone stairway, or the South Lawn with its picturesque fountain. Or maybe you'd prefer the West Lawn with its charming gazebo or even a quaint spot beneath one of our nationally prized trees. The beautifully renovated Carriage House (with handicapped-accessible bathrooms, air conditioning, bar, and dance floor), is capable of seating up to 200 people comfortably. If your guest list exceeds 200, we can have a tent placed on our manicured grounds or on the Garden Terrace, which will allow you to expand your guest list up to 500 people. Smaller receptions can also be held in the main manor - in the Rosemont dining room and adjoining spaces, or on the Grand Portico with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Coming in 2019 - Historic Rosemont Springs

In 2019 we are planning to open a new wedding venue on our property – Historic Rosemont Springs in Berryville, VA. This rustic barn can be used for both your ceremony and reception and will accommodate more than 400 guests.

Surrounded by a private, wooded setting, Historic Rosemont Springs will feature breathtaking waterfalls and a garden terrace. The post and beam gambrel barn will have a beautiful lighting scheme and indoor stone fireplace, which will be a perfect setting for your reception.

It includes ample parking, bridesmaids and groomsmen suites for wedding preparation, a caterer's kitchen, indoor bathrooms, and plenty of air conditioning and heating for year-round events. Couples may also bring their own caterer and alcohol for their wedding. The venue will also be available to rent for private parties, corporate and other special events.

Only 45 minutes from Washington-Dulles airport, Rosemont is the perfect venue for a fabulous wedding weekend, a memorable Friday, Saturday, or Sunday ceremony and reception, a small weekday celebration or even an intimate elopement. We would love to schedule a private tour for you, and can be reached at 703-879-5683 or 540-955-2834. We look forward to hearing from you!

Having my wedding at The Historic Rosemont Manor has been a dream of mine since I went to a tea there when I was 18 years old. I have to say, my wedding day exceeded those dreams! The beauty of the manor house, carriage house and the grounds are simply breathtaking. We rented all three cottages for the weekend for our guests and it was amazing! Michael, our wedding planner and his team made our weekend the most perfect weekend of our lives! If we fell short on something they were right there to pick up the pieces and make it perfect! My only advice for future Rosemont brides is to take Michael's suggestions to heart. I didn't on a couple of things and lucky for us, he was prepared to jump right in and get the job done! We will always have a special place in our hearts for all the staff at The Historic Rosemont Manor and our wedding will always be remembered as the best day of our lives!

We had our wedding weekend at Rosemont Manor and couldn't be happier with how amazing it was! Our coordinator, Michael Haymaker, was essential in carrying out all the details. Not only did Michael have great suggestions on vendors and ideas as we planned the wedding, he truly went above and beyond the role of coordinator to make sure everything was flawless through the whole weekend. From fitting tuxedos the night before, arranging table settings and 150 nameplates in alphabetical order, and conducting the timing of the ceremony perfectly with our music choice, Michael did it all and our wedding would not have been perfect without him! I have received so many compliments from our guests on the beauty of the venue, how well everything was coordinated, and how much fun they had! If you are planning your wedding in the Northern VA area, you must visit Rosemont Manor and ask for Michael!

Michael lives for his brides, and he will be so happy to know that his care and attention is appreciated. We would love to have the two of you come back and see us for a Bed & Breakfast stay, perhaps for a weekend getaway sometime soon. Thanks so much for your kind review, Pam! We are so happy that Anna and Daniel had such a wonderful wedding, and honored to host their wedding. It's always wonderful to hear that weddings flow so smoothly, and our staff (and the staff of Celebrations) work very hard to make sure that everything falls right into place. We hope to see you and your family back sometime -- perhaps for a B&B stay or another event!
