Liz Hough and Nancy Zook of Hough Photography are amazing photographers and were able to capture both our engagement session and wedding beautifully. We loved working with Liz on our engagement session and she gave us amazing shots we will always treasure. Nancy was a joy to work with on our wedding day. She has shown us a few of the shots so far and we are already in love with them. Can't say enough good things about Hough Photography!

We had a wonderful wedding day experience with Liz on October 5. The photos were wonderful, and she is so artistic. The wedding day was during the Federal Government shutdown and we had planned to take photos at the Tidal Basin and Jefferson Memorial. Liz was flexible as we jumped in and out of cars and worked around barricades to get fantastic shots. Her photo of the bride and groom "dipping" by the Tidal Basin with the Jefferson Memorial in the background at sunset is stunning. She also was very flexible during the reception , taking the right mix of candid and posed group shots. We have received many compliments on the photos. Thank you Liz!

I don't even know where to begin. Liz is AMAZING! Our pictures are so beautiful. I'm not the most photogenic person but Liz made me look like the most beautiful bride. People who weren't at my wedding, and were recently married themselves, were asking where I found her because they've never seen such great pictures. She made me and my fiance so comfortable, was never intrusive and made sure we enjoyed as much of our wedding as possible.

My make-up artist even commented on how great she was because typically photographers insist on having hair/make-up artists stop what they're doing and stage photos. She got amazing photos without having to do that.

We can't wait to have her photograph our future family...hopefully not for another year or so :)

Liz at Hough Photography is absolutely amazing! My husband and I found her on Stone Manor Country Club's preferred vendor list and decided to set up a meeting. From the moment we started talking with her, we knew she was the one! We fell in love with the sample photos and albums she showed us and also loved her personality. She's very laid back and not pushy like many wedding photographers I've seen. Our engagement photos were fantastic and our wedding photos were just perfect! She has this unreal talent of capturing so many emotions of the day. We loved seeing the pure joy on our guests faces as we looked at our wedding photos. My husband and I already can't wait to use Liz for our future newborn and family photos! Thank you so much, Liz!!!

Liz was a complete joy to work with! From our first meeting all the way through to post wedding. She is laid-back, open to our ideas and was a pleasure to have around the day of the wedding. She took pictures of all the little details of the day which were great to see and provided us with a beautiful story of our wedding day through her photos. We are so very pleased that we chose Liz as our photographer for our engagement and wedding photos! She has an amazing gift to capture feelings of love, life, and connection in her photos. One of my favorite qualities about Liz is that she brings a sense of calm and sweetness to your day. Her ability to capture priceless photos while blending into the background is like no other photographer I have seen. I have been a part of many weddings where the photographer is bossy and overly poses people, all the while lacking any creative sense. With Liz you will get creative, artistic shots that show true feeling...and she does this in many cases without you even knowing! Liz Hough of Hough Photography is terrific! She's easy to work with, has fun ideas for photos, and the photos from our wedding really capture what a fun and relaxed celebration it was. She's great at capturing the essence of the moment or day, and we really treasure our wedding photos. It was pouring on our wedding day, so we had to have our outdoor wedding inside and she did a great job adjusting to the venue shift and lighting change, as well as sneaking us outside during a break in the rain for a few outdoor photos. My husband isn't very comfortable being photographed but he really liked Liz and felt comfortable with her style of photography and consequently there are a lot of great photos of him and us. We highly recommend Liz!

I would highly recommend Liz Hough Photography for any bride/groom that is seeking dream-come-true wedding pictures. Liz captures those precious moments that might be miss on such a busy day. We really enjoyed having Liz as the photographer for our wedding. She was fun and very easy to work with. The pictures turned out amazing. We liked how creative her photos were - she has a very unique view of things and a great attention to details big and small. We highly recommend working with Liz!

Liz is not only a great photographer, but wonderful to work with. I don’t particularly like having my picture taken, but Liz makes it feel so natural. At the engagement shoot, she worked with our crazy schedules until we finally picked a day with decent weather. During this very hectic time, Liz’s photo shoot actually allowed us to relax and enjoy the evening together.

At our wedding, we were able to simply focus on the day and she captured every moment. She did a great job of blending in; therefore, allowing her to capture the candid, private, and funny moments. Also, I was extremely happy when several of my guests commented about how wonderful, sweet, and unobtrusive our photographer was.

Overall, I highly recommend Liz to any couple looking for an album full of their “favorite” pictures.

Hough Photography was recommended to my by co workers who sister had just gotten married. Now I recommend them to you. My photographer was Nancy, who is so sweet and patient. I could see she was excited to shoot photos at my wedding and could see she really enjoyed her work. Nancy coordinated with the DJ during the reception to set us up for prime photo opportunities. I really believe she was looking out for us and took photos we didn't know we would want. We coordinated the event with Liz who took the time to sit down with us and explained her companies services. She was extremely flexible and supportive. We loved their work and would use them again in the future.

Liz was absolutely fabulous! My husband and I could not be happier with our photos and our experience with Hough Photography. Liz was the best. She got every moment of the wedding and moments I didnt even think of. She is so responsive and available. I feel so comfortable around her. I was married a year ago and since then my family has use her many times. I will always use Liz as my Photographer. Hands down the best value, service, and photographer in the area!

My husband and I highly recommend Hough Photography's wedding services. Our photographs are unique and beautiful. We hoped for candid, journalistic shots and Hough delivered. They were responsive, professional and a pleasure to work with. We plan to contract through Hough again for anniversary/family photographs.

Liz is the best all around. She provides excellent service and professionalism. You get so much more than what you are paying for. For the quality of work and professionalism you will pay double or triple elsewhere. Liz took our engagement photos, wedding photos, and absolutely amazing "trash the dress" photos. They line the walls of my house and they are of amazing quality and detail. You get your photos from her months and months sooner than anyone else. I wasn't expecting to get my wedding photos so quickly and we were so happy to get them because we relived our wedding all over again.

She has the best ideas and captures every important moment and detail. Liz can even turn the moments and details that you might not think are important into beautiful photographs that tell a story. During the planning of our wedding, My husband and I have met Liz; a captivating, easygoing, creative woman who we will continue to call time and time again to capture the moments of our lives with her photo lens.

Hough Photography is great, their prices are very reasonable and there services are wonderful. The quality and look of their wedding albums are great and look amazing when completed. Liz did a great job on our engagement pictures, and I'm sure the wedding pictures will be beautiful. She reminded us about shots we forgot we'd wanted, and she even helped us pin on the boutonnieres when we couldn't figure them out!

I contracted and used Liz for my engagement and wedding photos. The engagement photos were nice, although our time with her was somewhat dry with her personality. I was happy with them, my husband was not as much. Then 6 months later for our wedding photos Liz showed up physically, but was not there mentally for us that day. I asked for the photo journalism style she advertises and it was awful. The shots of the family members were all horribly backlit and washed out, not properly placed. In every picture someone is not focused and looks lost and out of place. My husband and I did a first look and she completely failed to get my husband's reaction (face) during the event, which is the whole idea behind the first look. She choose a messy, spot that was not private, when discussing this before hand (friend was witness) in the foyer of the event site I said I don't care where we do this as long as it is private and looks good - Epic fail on all accounts. People milling around, chairs being set up, not private. Yes I should have said something but I was excited and not really seeing the view from that stand point I was just focused and excited to see my husband. She only used one camera during the day and relied on zooming in on the digital photo which is not as good quality, in my opinion. The end result is the zoomed in photos have a bit of a fuzzy look. She never adjusted anyone for the shots ex: jacket bunching or arm placement. I had such a hard time accepting the photos afterwards I couldn't talk about them without crying for weeks. I still have a hard time looking at them. I have not printed any to date - I have only had a few people look at them. We received half of our money back which I consider to be lucky for the situation; but still not happy and will NEVER get another chance to have these photos done again. Think wisely before you use Hough photography. If you want more information I would be glad to answer any questions.
