I had the most amazing experience working with this hotel. They are willing to work with you on any ideas or requests you would like to make. In fact, they often came back with better ideas and solutions to when needed. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly to our family, and also our guests that came from out of town. All of our guests commented on how friendly the staff was. They also though the location was ideal for a downtown Chicago wedding, close to everything. I also must add that the food was spectacular. Often you go to events that need to cater to large groups and the food isn't great. This food was exceptional!! Hats off to the Hyatt team!!!

Rebecca Stern was an exceptional asset to our Wedding Day. Throughout the planning process, she provided creative suggestions, food and beverage assistance, and the necessary assertiveness with pinning down the fine details, all while staying within our budget. Working with Rebecca proved to be the smartest, and easiest, decision we made throughout the planning process. She provided assistance even without us prompting to do so. She knew the answers, before we even knew we had questions. She made my husband and I feel extraordinary throughout the entire year leading up to our Wedding. Rebecca and her team were ready to assist with any task, question, or request we might have had. We are so thankful for Rebecca Stern and Hyatt Regency Chicago making our dream wedding come to life!

We held our wedding at the Hyatt Regency Chicago in the Crystal Ballroom (including ceremony and reception), and the entire experience was amazing. From the first time we met with Rebecca to see the venue, we knew we had found the perfect place to have our wedding. The view from the Crystal Ballroom is stunning and the food was fantastic (especially the lemon chiffon cake :)). But the best part of the entire experience was the service provided by Rebecca and her team. I would not have made it through the day without Rebecca! She helped us every step of the way from recommending vendors to the food tasting and setting the floor plan. On the day of, her team coordinated with all of our other vendors (floral, DJ, photobooth) to make sure the evening went off without a hitch. I knew I was in good hands with Rebecca, and her team did a phenomenal job. I would highly recommend the Hyatt Regency to any bride (and groom) to be, you will not be disappointed!

This was the perfect start to the wedding weekend. My brother and now sister-in-law were really looking for that City-Wedding Theme and BIG Bar was exactly what we had envisioned for that. The views are unreal!!!

The staff, bar manager, and especially Rebecca Stern, our planning manager took great care of us. From the very first call I made, Rebecca walked me through the planning process and ensured that it would be a wonderful evening. When I showed up the night of I had nothing to do but have fun. Everyone had a great time! Highly recommend for any type of event.

Rebecca and her team of Amanda's are the best. My daughters wedding was pefect. They aren't really vendors, they become family.

The Hyatt was amazing! We had our reception in the Crystal Ballroom which was stunning with it's 20 ft windows overlooking the city. The staff was incredible to work with and flexible with all of our requests and helpful with any suggestions needed. The food was hands down some of the best we've ever had. Every guest mentioned how great it was. Rebecca and the Amandas were wonderful to work with!

We LOVED having our wedding reception at the Hyatt. We worked with Rebecca Stern and thought she was phenomenal. Completely organized, had great ideas and knowledge of the room we were using (the Crystal Ballroom is AMAZING), and worked with us on all of the small details to make it a perfect day. She also was excellent at managing all the different types of people (from the wedding party to the various vendors) and everything went SO SMOOTHLY. Her staff was phenomenal as well, and really took care to make our event special. There are obviously things that are sort of set in stone (being a hotel with union rules), like you have to use their cake, for example. So that's why I gave them only 4.5 for flexibility. But at no time did I feel like we couldn't do anything we really wanted to do. And the cake, by the way, was super tasty, as was all the food. Our guests loved it, and thought it was really an elegant event with excellent food and a beautiful space. The room rate for the block was also very good for downtown Chicago at high season, and since we had a lot of out-of-town guests, its location was ideal. And the suite they comp'ed me for the weekend was unbelievable -- top floor presidential suite! The prices were really reasonable, and we were able to hold a big brunch the next morning as well, which I loved. I certainly don't plan to ever get married again, but if I had to, I would choose the Hyatt all over again!

We used the Hyatt Regency for our room block. They worked with us to come up with a good rate for our guests, and then for six months worked with any and all of our guests who wanted to stay longer than the blocked dates and with any other accommodation requests. Barring a few bumps in the road (to be expected for the most part) they were very helpful, and our contacts went out of their way to answer questions, provide timely responses, and be truly helpful. We also got upgraded on our wedding night to a great suite with a beautiful view, which was a great bonus to a great night! The only frustrations were that our contact changed 3 separate times, which was a little difficult, and that we had to pay for room drops for guest gift bags (a union rule, which we understand, but still would have loved to avoid). Overall, we were really happy there, and would definitely recommend the Hyatt.

Changed pricing on me at the last minute

I hate writing bad reviews, but I had a pretty terrible experience that I'd like to warn others of. We had discussed and negotiated pricing with their Sales Team and (I thought) finalized per person pricing for a dry wedding (including a quote in writing that was emailed). I even flew to Chicago to tour the site. I received a call a week later saying there had been an error and miscommunication on the pricing and that they could no longer honor what they'd said. Apparently a manager didn't approve it? It was incredibly unprofessional, and they seemed to imply that they didn't really value my business. I also found the Crystal Ballroom to be pretty dated - more suited for a business meeting vs. a wedding. Floor to ceiling windows and views of the river were beautiful though.

We worked with the Hyatt in Rosemont, and that is a mistake we will never make again. They made verbal promises at the time we signed our contract, but when it got closer to the event, these promises were broken. Our guests were not given the rate originially arranged, we were not provided with transportation, and I (the bride) found out on the morning of my wedding that I was not the only wedding happening that night, even though I had rented the entire space and was told only one wedding happens per night. This hotel underwent many changes in staff during our planning time which made it very confusing to whom we were really working with, and each person would tell us different things. If you work with this venue, make sure to get every little thing in writting, because spoken words mean nothing there.
