    My husband and I ordered a small cutting cake from Icing on the Cake for our wedding, and we couldn't ask for a better tasting cake! We had their marble cake with their delicious cream cheese icing. It was inexpensive and simply delicious!

    We had Icing on the Cake make a small wedding cake for us (for the cutting ceremony, and enough cake to serve our family and wedding party) and it was wonderful. We got the banana cake with chocolate icing and it was delicious. We can't wait to go back and eat more cake from their bakery!

    Icing on the Cake made our wedding cake for April 7 2017. We had SO many compliments from our guests. We got the almond poppyseed cake with cream cheese frosting. It was delicious. It was beautiful. It didn't break the bank. Everything about doing business with them, from the consultation to the pick up, was fantastic. Cake was exactly as described, and so, so beautiful.

    We got cupcakes and a 6 inch cake from Icing on the Cake for our wedding and oh my gosh they were so good!!! People loved the flavors (and took several home). Icing on the cake was super helpful in setting up a tasting session (for 6 people!) and getting everything ready on time. The cupcakes looked beautiful and tasted amazing. I would definitely recommend.

    Short story:

    We recently worked with Icing on the Cake for our wedding cake and dessert for our April 2016 wedding at Nestldown. We had an excellent experience from start to finish! Plus reasonable pricing. Highly recommend them for cake and/or desserts.

    Long story:

    For our wedding, we wanted a simple cake and lots of treats (think cookies, bars, etc) to fill a dessert bar spread. Having tasted some of the goodies at the bakery in the past, we stopped in to get pricing information. They were helpful and informative even though the store was busy. We booked a tasting for a weekend— got a morning slot which seemed weird but it was much calmer in there which was nice. Sample portions were GENEROUS. We came just the 2 of us, and it was a lot of sugar before noon! We tried 4 combos of cake/filling/frosting, yum. It was easy from there to order the cake and bars and cookies. They were helpful in working with us to estimate quantities (total amount and the size of the bars, all customizable)— appreciated that! Execution was a breeze too — pickup the day of went smoothly, everything was delicious, and it didn’t break the bank!

    Love this place and look forward to a trip back for more Dosey Doughs! SO indulgent and amazing.

    Icing on the Cake makes the most delicious desserts! We ordered 3 simple small cakes, brownies, and cookies for the dessert bar at our wedding and everything was divine. The prices were a little on the higher side but its to be expected because the word ‘wedding’ is attached!
    The ordering process was simple and easy, we scheduled a cake tasting with Leigh and placed the order the same day. Thank you Icing on the Cake!

    Lovely cupcakes- lemon poppy seed, stout, and chocolate almond, and 8" lemon poppyseed cutting cake. People who don't even eat cake ate at least one cupcake. Amazing

    Icing on the Cake has the BEST cake I have ever tasted. I am so glad we found this place in time for our wedding. We ended up going with cupcakes which made it way more affordable than getting a regular wedding cake. Everyone had so much fun tasting the different flavors. Way more fun than getting a slice of whatever is placed in front of you. We had 6 different flavors and they were all amazing. Even the tasting was fantastic. We tasted so many different kinds and even got to take home what we didn't eat. I would higly recommend Icing on the Cake for any event, and cupcakes are a great way to go for a fun twist or if you'd like to save a little bit. I cant wait to go back and get cupcakes with my husband, every year on our anniversary.

    The cake was delicious! We got two flavors: vanilla with lemon filling, and chocolate with rasperry filling. Both were moist and tasty. We also got buttercream icing with a delicate scroll pattern. The cake looked simple and elegant. They also worked with us to use a smaller tiered cake for the cutting, but have extra sheet cake for serving to keep costs down. The one qualm I have is that we had tons of cake left over, so I don't know if our guests just didn't eat it or if they estimate their slice size super big or what. In any event, we enjoyed eating it over the next few days and gave leftovers to friends and family, so I don't think I would change anything. We now stop in for cupcakes whenever we are in the neighborhood.

    Note: If you want fondant, don't go here. They don't do it.

    We tried a few places, including Sugar, Butter, Flour...and let me tell you, none were as delicious as Icing!!! The fact that they have walk-in tastings every other Saturday should say something...they are really popular. Our wedding cake was simply beautiful, and the tastiest I've ever had! They let you try whatever combinations you want at the tastings, and you can big a different flavor for ever tier if you want! The people there are so helpful, the shop is extremely chic...and they know cake! They also have the most wonderful pastries and cookies. A little pricier, but totally worth it.

    I have been going to Icing on the Cake since I was a child, and always knew my wedding cake would come from here! We opted for a small 6" round as a topper and built our own cupcake towers. We wanted something fun and whimsical and cupcakes did the trick! We had 4 different flavors of cupcakes. I made a special topper for each flavor and Icing put the toppers on all 200 cupcakes for me for no additional charge! They were very helpful in the selection process. Also, they helped me create the most fabulous surprise groom's cake for my husband! It was a 3 tiered Mario-themed cake, and it was the one of the highlights of the wedding. Everything here is delicious and my guests loved being able to choose their own flavor of cupcake!

    I LOVE Icing on the Cake so of course I had to get my wedding cake here!

    My husband and I decided that we didn't want to spend too much money just on a cake that our guests may not even like anyway, so we opted for getting a small 8" cutting cake and a variety of desserts to go with it. For our cutting cake, we got the almond poppyseed cake with almond buttercream - YUM!!

    For all of the other desserts we got tons of different items! Cookies, lemon bars, brownies, etc! Every single item we tasted was amazing (we were lucky to have some leftovers)! I'm sure all of our guests loved the variety and everything was fresh when it was picked up.

    This will definitely still be my go-to place for events!

    Icing on the cake created an amazing cake! They were extremely nice when dealing with them and when there was a mistake right after about crediting, I was called right away on the phone with an apology and they fixed the mistake (They charged me instead of crediting 40 dollars). I didnt find it to be a big deal, but they were so sorry and sweet about it, it was super nice dealing with them. The cake turned out amazing and everyone raved about the taste and the china pattern decoration!

    We got our wedding cupcakes from Icing on the Cake and they were fantastic. We opted to just order straight off their specialty cupcakes, and not get anything special frostings or designs done, because the specialty cupcakes were so delicious and looked incredible on their own!

    The flavors were all so delicious that it was hard to agree on which ones we wanted to have. The only bummer was their carmel frosting isn't a "summer" frosting - I guess it doesn't stand up to the heat - so they wouldn't let us order those, even though we were getting married indoors. They do have a standard to uphold, so I understand!

    We received numerous compliments on the cupcakes and were very pleased that they were all so moist and delicious. They were delivered on time and in perfect condition.

    The only downside is, you pay per cupcake for tastings. There is no private tastings or anything of the sort. It didn't bother us a whole lot because the bakery was adorable and everything was good that we just would little by little purchase different flavors and keep a list. But I could see if you didn't have that luxury, it might be hard to do. You can call ahead and place an order to make certain your flavors will be there - which we often did - but there really isn't a place inside to taste them (it is a very small, but VERY cute bakery). I would recommend them!!!!

    The cake was delivered exactly as it was ordered. It was also absolutely delicious. Wedding cakes are notoriously bad, but this one was so yummy. We actually had fewer guests than we thought we would so we should have had a significant amount of cake left over. It was so good people told me later that they had second servings of the cake.

    We purchased a three tier cake: 6" vanilla wheat free with lemon, 8" fresh banana with cream cheese, and a 10" vanilla with raspberry with cream cheese frosting (not as pretty as butter cream, but totally worth the looks taste trade off). The cake was beautiful and tasted fantastic a bit pricey, but so worth it! I am wheat-free and so are several of my guests so they very much appreciated being able to have some cake.

    Great cakes! We choose the banana and it was amazing! We are not cake people normally but fell in love with their cakes. They are a little expensive but I would say worth the price. They also don't do fondant decoration so if you’re looking for that it may not be for you. But, believe me you wouldn't want to mess up their cakes with fondant, their icing is amazing too!! The only down fall we found was that they don't deliver for smaller cakes or orders under a certain amount. However, most places had that policy.

    Icing on the cake was my favorite bakery before they did my wedding cake & is still that and more! They were affordable & their cake is amazing. They did a design specific to our wedding and it turned out lovely. I'm sad I don't live closer or I'd get every birthday/celebration cake there from now on.

    I've been going to Icing on the Cake for birthdays or cookies since I was a little kid, and have always loved them. They have the BEST sweets, just delicious. When I got engaged I immediately knew that I wanted them to do the cake -- BUT, I didn't want a typical stacked, dramatic wedding cake -- I wanted three single tier smaller cakes that I would display on three separate cake stands of varying heights. At first they tried to sell me on the monster tower cakes, but I stayed firm and they agreed to do the simple little cakes instead. This was a MUCH better deal price wise (I'm sorry, but the real "wedding cakes" are out of control expensive and just not worth it to me). We picked up the cakes on the day of the wedding and they looked cute and tested delicious, exactly what I wanted. I'm very glad I went with Icing on the Cake and highly recommend them!

    Positives: Excellent cakes…the yummiest I’ve ever had. Great service and very accommodating!
    Negatives: Limited design options. Must go with cylinder shape and they do not use fondant so you’re limited to butter cream/cream cheese icing (which also limits the color options for your cake).

    Icing on the Cake has some of the best cakes I tried as a bride-to-be. They have cake tasting the first and third Saturday of every month between the hours of 11am-3pm (you'll want to bring some money for milk!), and their service is excellent. They tend to be busy Saturdays and their associates are always extremely friendly and helpful. And while they are cheaper than many bakeries in terms of wedding cakes, they are still pricy ($6 a slice).

    We were looking to do a dessert table with a cutting cake, but after trying our sample cake flavors at Icing on the Cake we felt compelled to do a full cake alone! It was so, completely delicious at our tasting - and happily tasted just as good on our wedding day! They make a point of saying they don't do "fancy designs", but they created a simple and elegant design that was perfect for our day!
