    Extraordinary Planning from Laura + Team

    My husband and I are so incredibly grateful to have found Laura and Ida Rose Events for our wedding. From venue selection a year out to the minute details on the day-of, Laura was unwavering in her support of our vision and ensured it came to fruition. As a gay couple, it was important to find a planner with experience in inclusive weddings and Laura was the perfect person for the job.     As a wedding photographer, I've had the pleasure of working with numerous wedding planners but Edwin of Ida Rose Event and his team truly stand out in their own right! His dedication and genuine passion was evident in every detail and he created an unforgettable experience for our couple and their guests. He and his team not only made my job easier but also went above and beyond to ensure our clients were able to enjoy and be truly present throughout the day.     So grateful to Edwin and IDA ROSE!

    I got married on 10/15/22 and I am so happy we hired IDA ROSE! I ended up choosing their partial planning package because I had researched and hired all of the vendors myself (originally was just going to get a month-of coordinator) but I needed help with design and the rest of the planning details. Edwin Hernandez was our Lead Event Planner & Designer and I absolutely LOVE him! I wanted someone who was going to take my vision and make it a reality and he and his team did exactly that. One of the main reasons my husband and I hired a wedding planner was because we wanted to be 100% present and be able to enjoy our wedding day instead of having to run around handling crises or logistics and we loved that Edwin had a team working with him the day of the wedding and they handled absolutely everything! Shout out to Natalie who was my bridal concierge who bustled my dress, held my lipstick, fixed my hair, acted as a bee catcher, and literally changed and tied my shoes for me when it was time for dancing. My husband and I agree that hiring IDA ROSE was a great decision. The venue looked beautiful, Edwin handled all of the vendors, issues, decor set up, and timing, and literally everything else. He and his team made sure we had everything we needed and we got to fully enjoy our wedding day and it was exactly how we hoped it would turn out. 10/10 recommend!

    Creating a perfect wedding

    Simply put, Laura and her team at Ida Rose Events and Design ensured that our daughter's wedding was absolutely perfect -- beyond perfect, enchanted. From planning the event to managing the wedding day itself, every detail, no matter how small, was masterfully handled. Anytime we needed something, they were right at hand. And perhaps most important, they were a constant, calming influence. We could not recommend Ida Rose Events more highly!

    Love the ida rose events team

    The best decision I made during our wedding planning journey is booking Ida Rose Events for planning services. We were fortunate enough to have Edwin be our month-of lead planner and I have no idea what I would've done without him! Throughout our engagement, I thought I was pretty type-A and organized. I wanted to ensure that I gave everything Edwin needed to be successful, but the closer we got to the wedding, the more I realized how much help I needed. As soon as we booked Edwin, he created a shared folder and though we didn't fully collaborate until the month prior to our wedding, Edwin kept tabs on us, checked in frequently, and created a healthy space for me to ask him questions if I needed to.

    Sooo many ideas and wants are accumulated throughout the months of wedding planning and I really struggled trying to piece them all together to create a cohesive event. The ever so stylish, Edwin knew exactly what our style was and how to put everything together. As soon as the month before the wedding hit, Edwin took over all communications with our vendors and created collaborative documents to ensure nothing was missed. He also helped close things out that we were struggling to book last minute like our escort display and rentals. He took on the HUGE task of getting all of our vendors together to create a timeline and it was a God send while we were also in the process of closing on our house. Edwin truly alleviated so much stress for us and if I could do it all over again & had the budget for it, I would've totally invested in partial or full wedding planning services.

    On the day of our wedding, Edwin made the day about us. He and his team took care of us throughout the day ensuring we were fed, comfortable, and hydrated. While Edwin helped with set up and checking in on my husband, Ashley stayed with me while I got ready. She kept me calm, made sure I had food and water, and tracked where we were at with time.

    Edwin managed a lot of stressful situations that I honestly couldn't tell were stressful because Edwin stayed calm and collected the entire day. As a carefree bride who didn't know what the heck she was doing, Edwin carried all of my things and ensured I had whatever I needed throughout the day. The moment my feet hurt, Edwin changed me into my sneakers. I didn't have a bridal party so Edwin helped bustle my dress. The moment I started feeling sick (I was completely nauseous from nerves and social anxiety), Edwin and his team made sure I had water and then changed me into my reception dress. Not only did Edwin and his team take care of me, but our families kept raving about how they were constantly checking in on them to ensure that they were comfortable throughout the day.

    I seriously don't know what I would've done without Edwin by my side throughout this wedding planning process. Not only is he a true professional at what he does, he was able to create a safe, calm space that connected us to him in a way that we will cherish him as a lifelong friend. Our wedding felt like a dream filled with so much love and joy. Of course there'd be hiccups throughout, but it truly felt perfect. Everyone kept on telling us how they felt all of the love and happiness not only in us but amongst all of our guests which was the most important! We're so appreciative of the entire Ida Rose team for making such a special day the best day it could be. We already miss it and can't wait for the next event we get to plan with them!

    Erica was an incredible partner

    We worked with Erica to plan our full wedding, rehearsal dinner, and welcome party. She was incredible to work with - she made everything not only easy, but also fun. She helped us quickly and easily narrow down vendors, gave us spot on recommendations, and helped us to take care of every little detail that was important to us. Erica also had creative solutions when working with vendors to ensure we got exactly what we wanted at the price points we wanted. We both work intense full-time jobs and we could not have planned our wedding weekend without her. If you were ever questioning hiring a full-service wedding planner, Erica and Ida Rose Events are worth it. Laura and Edwin even came to our wedding to help out and the whole team went above and beyond for us.

    Top-Notch Wedding Planner

    Where do we even begin?? Working with Ashley from Ida Rose Events is always a great experience. We've had the pleasure of working with her on a couple of events this year and let me tell you, she does not disappoint as a wedding planner. Her work is incredible, she is always organized, and super communicative leading up to the event day. She is approachable and a perfect fit for this job. If you hire Ashley for your events, you will not be disappointed.

    Ida Rose Events saved our butts and made sure our day was perfect!

    We initially planned on handling all the planning ourselves and using a relative for day of coordination. We found out about 4 months out we need some professional help and finding Ida Rose Events for Month and Day of Planning was the best decision we made.

    We worked with Erica at Ida Rose as our month of and day of coordinator, and boy did she save our butts. We would not have made it through the last few weeks and the chaos of the day without her expert guidance and amazing support. Especially as the stress of all the little details began taking their toll.

    Erica hit the ground running just about the 1 month out mark and immediately helped calm our nerves taking over most of the direct communications with our vendors and helping us make key late-in-the game decisions, especially when we had minor challenges reaching our venue coordinator with questions and some key deadlines approaching to provide them required information. Erica was instrumental especially in getting the walkthrough set up with the venue on a short turnaround, and leading that walkthrough, which took a lot of stress off of us!

    On the day of, Erica was a wizard. She was bending time and space to be everywhere she was needed (especially with the Bride who, admittedly, was a bit overwhelmed the entire day and would probably not have enjoyed it if not for Erica’s reassuring presence)! Everything went smoothly, even when our other vendors tried to hijack the timeline a little, and made sure we as close to on schedule as possible, and were well taken care of throughout the day.

    Our reception space was decorated perfectly to the bride’s expectation and as communicated. Everything was beautiful and we received many a compliment from guests on decor, which Erica and team basically handled with very little direction from us! We appreciated their selections and placement for the copious amounts of decorations we brought with us. Everything looked spectacular.

    We also just have to say thank you for her patience! It wasn’t the easiest of group of personalities (/cough our mothers in particular), and she handled everything perfectly. She made sure we were enjoying ourselves first and foremost, which we greatly appreciated, and shielded us where necessary from potential stressors.

    Also, her Tetris skills are very commendable, as I’ve never seen someone pack more stuff so efficiently in a car after the reception to make sure everything found its way back to us post-cleanup.

    Erica, thank you again for everything. You are the best!

    Alex Berry Was a Fantastic Wedding Coordinator

    Alex Berry was the lead planner for our wedding in Washington, DC in March. We initially hired Alex for month of wedding coordination only, then broadened her scope of work to include finding and booking vendors for transportation and entertainment.

    Alex is positive and punctual, and good at thinking on her feet. She made our lives easier! When we asked for help finding a bus company and DJ, Alex gave us a small selection of quality options that fit our budget and helped us make quick decisions on both. Her suggestions for budgeting out food and drinks for the reception were on target. And Alex handled the majority of contact with our vendors and venues in the final weeks before our wedding taking some work off of our plates.

    Alex’s day of plan was thorough and thoughtful and her day of team was great as well. With Alex’s help, our guests moved seamlessly and on time across the city between the hotel, ceremony, reception and to the afterparty. Alex and her team were a useful extra set of hands to coordinate our vendors and help them and our families as needed throughout the day.

    Alex gets an A+ in our book. We would recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding planner in the DC area!

    The absolute BEST!

    We had the pleasure of working with Edwin from The IDA Rose team and let me tell you that to this day my husband and I both agree it was the best decision we made. We had our wedding in the fall of 2020 and with a pandemic everything seemed like it was falling apart even our venue closed down and so we opted to move our wedding to our new home that was undergoing some remodeling but also due to covid delays was not gonna be ready in time for the wedding. Edwin came in and saw our vision amidst the missing wall in our kitchen. When We look back we laugh wondering what he really thought but he not once let it show that this was a problem. We hired Edwin for month of coordination and let tell you that within that month our wedding truly came together because of him. Once Edwin took over all the missing things fell into place. I had scouted all over for a last minute videographer Edwin found me 3 options in under 24 hours that were available and ready to go for our wedding date. When we didn’t have draping Edwin found us the person for the look that we wanted.
    Edwin took our open concept and created what felt like different rooms with different atmospheres come to life. When things didn’t fall into our original design I let him make the decisions for what he thought would be best and he did not disappoint. No rehearsal for ceremony? no problem! with Edwin’s cues it went flawlessly. Everything was absolutely perfect. He gathered all of our wedding vendors from florist, rentals, catering, hair and makeup and created a flawless timeline and let me tell you that day I really didn’t have to worry about a thing. I woke up with a smile and went to bed with a smile knowing everything was taken care of and thanks to one of the assistants of the IDA rose team I even had left over appetizers to snack on for later hahaha it was absolute perfection. To this day we think of Edwin as our friend and design god and cannot wait to work with him again and if he’s reading this to maybe hang out with us just because hehe that’s just how great of a person he is. The person that isn’t just there because it’s his job but that person that makes you feel like he’s that friend that is there no matter what. The friend you can laugh and cry with. Don’t think about hiring Edwin or the IDA rose team twice. They are the absolute best!

    The backbone of the best day of my life

    What can I say except when there is a pandemic, hire Ida Rose. Actually just hire Ida Rose all the time!! I mean, if anything can show you how a wedding planner will deal with challenges, it's how they deal with a crisis the world hasn't seen in a century. And Laura, our wedding planner, was simply incredible. She supported us through the months of "uhh what do we do??" "do we postpone our wedding??" "how do we postpone a wedding??" "I don't want to postpone our wedding!" "how do we do this safely??" on and on and on. Laura was a rock: upbeat, supportive, ready to roll with whatever was coming. We decided in the end to postpone our big wedding and have a smaller wedding on our original day and I couldn't be happier. Our big wedding is next year, but our smaller wedding went off without a hitch because of Laura. Essentially she helped us plan a second wedding - a different venue (my parent's backyard) meant a new caterer, the florist wasn't able to move so we had to find a new one, how do we do this outside - well here is a great tent company. Literally Laura crushed the planning of this smaller day. All of this to say - it was the best day of my life. A beautiful easy day for me because everything was taken care of by the Ida Rose team. I felt safe, the day was beautiful, the dinner was gorgeous. We love cheese and Laura had the genius idea of personalized cheese boards as seating indicators, literally a dream! There were little touches everywhere that made us feel loved and safe and celebrated. I would recommend Laura and the whole Ida Rose to any and everyone. Thank you for a beautiful wedding day, I can't wait for Round 2!

    Amazing, wonderful, fabulous experience!!!

    I ended up hiring Laura for a full wedding planning package - she helped with every part of the experience. The only thing she didn't do was make our invitation list... Everything else was handled! Both me and my now husband are busy professionals, so Laura quickly picked up on what we wanted and brought it to life with limited management. She designed everything, managed all the logistics, and tracked down everything she needed to make it happen. During the wedding day, one of her people was always right around the corner. It was an absolute delight working with Laura and her team!

    The Most Fabulous & Organized Wedding Coordinator!!

    Laura Held is a planner/coordinator extraordinaire who helped make our wedding day beyond magical and we felt like we were dancing in a magazine the entire day!!
    From the early stages, she helped with vendor selection (all the vendors - Flowers/photography/etc - were stunning!!), designing, and answering all our questions along the way! Then the coordination in the last few days and on the wedding day itself was the most impressive feat of all! Every moment went flawlessly - calling me to check in on how I was doing, calling every vendor endlessly, and managing every little detail on the day itself - I just floated through it all - with only the happiest of tears!! Also, we had a dream of incorporating national parks into our table numbering and Laura helped make this into one of the most dramatic and memorable parts of our wedding - it still brings me to happy tears when I think about it all!
    Every single aspect of the wedding was perfect thanks to Laura's brilliant input and I can truly say Laura helped make our wedding day the most spectacular day of our lives. We would absolutely recommend using Laura with Ida Rose Events for any and every single event - wedding, birthday party, anything!!

    So Impressed!!

    I was so impressed with the level of service the day of our wedding! Laura Held brought our wedding dreams to life and completely blew away our expectations. On top of that, she was super nice and helpful. Would highly recommend!!!

    I just wanted to say thank you SO MUCH for all you and your team did for Chris & I on our wedding day! You were amazing & it went flawlessly (at least to me- if there were any hiccups I didn’t know about them & I appreciate that tremendously!). My glass was never empty & I feel like your team was reading my mind because flip flops were literally delivered to me as soon as my heels started hurting lol! My groom said your hubby was a “guy’s guy” & they really enjoyed having him around & he made sure all was smooth with the groomsmen :)

    We hired Laura and the Ida Rose team for full wedding planning services and our expectations were exceeded through every part of the process. Laura helped us create a vision for our wedding and always had great ideas when we didn't know what we needed. We were able to enjoy the time leading up to our wedding stress free as she communicated and coordinated with all of our vendors. Our ceremony and reception looked straight out of a magazine thanks to Laura's eye for detail and style, our family and friends couldn't stop talking about how beautiful it all looked! The best part was that my husband and I enjoyed our wedding day without worry as we knew Laura and her team had every detail covered. Laura is so well organized, professional, and gracious with her time and attention. On top of everything it was simply enjoyable to just spend time with her during the planning process and hearing her expertise.

    Was very happy and satisfied with Laura and her entire team. She was very responsive, and it was harder to get us on the phone than her on the phone! When you, as a couple or a family, are spending a large sum on a very special day, it makes a lot of sense and provides a much peace of mind to have Laura guiding you through it. Our venue provided a lot of the wedding aspects like linens and catering, and Laura's day-of wedding planning was perfect for us in terms of having her interact with the vendors we had already chosen (as opposed to a wedding planner from Day One choosing the vendors for/with us). The expense was absolutely worth it, and there were aspects she thought of that we never did or would have. Highly recommend.

    When our original planner fell through due to family issues, our planner suggested we contact Laura and we weren't disappointed! Working with Laura was a great experience. We used her and her team for Day of Coordination for our Baltimore wedding. They did a great job with setting up/cleaning up which was so helpful to not have to take family away from enjoying the day to stress about getting all of that stuff done - worth the investment for that alone! She was easy to work with and full of knowledge to help move the day along smoothly. She worked well with the other vendors and allowed for a our wedding day to happen seamlessly.

    I'm not much of a planner or one who really romanticized their wedding day but I'm so happy to have found Laura and her team! Laura helped me discover the wedding I always wanted. Laura took time to get to know me and my now husband to help us create a day that was special and perfect for us. Laura herself was responsive and highly detailed, and asking us questions I hadn't even thought of to make sure she delivered exactly what we wanted and expected. Every detail was planned, organized, and executed without problem. Not only did Laura deliver us amazing service but she was also extremely flexible. I was traveling a lot during our planning period and Laura was always very accommodating when I would need to change something we agreed upon earlier or if I needed to meet with her at a different time. I wouldn't have trusted anyone else on my wedding day but her and her team. Her team was professional and polite as well. My wedding day was wonderful and a large part being that I knew I had Laura to take care of everything!

    Laura and her team were an absolute DREAM to work with. Laura is the real life Olivia Pope!!! We faced a lot of challenges and truly, our wedding would not have happened without Laura. She addressed everything that came her way with the highest level of professionalism and was always incredibly calm.     Hiring Laura Held as our Wedding Planner was one of the best decisions on the wedding planning process. It was money well invested. And even though my now husband and I are really organized and we thought that we could handle a lot of the details, we are really glad we did it. She was fantastic to work with and her team was also great! I got the partial planning package and it was ideal for me. She was responsive, resourceful, had great ideas and recommendations and always had a positive, warm and professional attitude. We had some issues with our venue and she really stepped in and handled it in the best way possible. Her support and advice during the whole process were key. I'm sure there were a lot of things that she and her team handled behind the scenes that I never even knew it happened. I just saw the beautiful product at the end. I would absolutely recommend IDA ROSE Events and would work with them again in a heart beat.

    Simply put, Laura and her team totally saved our wedding.
    I called her two weeks before the wedding when I realized that, due to some last-minute logistical changes, the details were going to too much for me to handle. I was incredibly stressed. Laura immediately put me at ease, she jumped into the day-of coordination as if she had been there the entire time, and took control of everything. On the day of, she and her team were absolutely brilliant. She, and they, went far above my expectations.
    I honestly can't say enough good things about Laura and her team. I was also pleased to hear from nearly all of my vendors commented to me how professional and organized she is, and how she made not only MY life easier that day, but their lives as well.
    Laura was absolutely the right choice for our planner, and she has our highest recommendation!

    We love Laura of Ida Rose Events! Laura has an innate ability to take glimmers of ideas and turn them into amazing reality! I had to be talked into hiring a wedding coordinator but it was absolutely the best use of our wedding budget. Laura is efficient and focused and a delight to work with. My daughter and I had different ideas of how her wedding should be and Laura was able to blend our thoughts and turn them into a day more beautiful than we even imagined! And most importantly, Laura and her fantastic team made it feel like we were floating through the day while they kept everything on schedule and done perfectly. That kind of peace of mind is priceless! Laura also has wonderful resources and creative vendors and she really listens and cares about your thoughts and ideas. She always made us feel that my daughter’s wedding was the most important thing that she had on her mind. I cannot recommend her highly enough — I have 2 more daughters and I hope that we will be able to plan 2 more weddings together some day!

    My wife and I could not have been more impressed by Laura and the rest of the Ida Rose team on our wedding day. As the groom, I was initially skeptical on the value of hiring a wedding planner but having gone through the process, I can tell you that it’s definitely worth it, but more importantly, you will find no better company than Ida Rose. Laura’s attention to detail, organizational skills, and expert wedding advice are second to none and most importantly, she was integral part of helping my wife plan the wedding of our dreams. In addition, Laura was incredibly accessible, and my wife and I felt like our needs were always prioritized, which made the process that much easier.     I cannot say enough about how professional, gracious, and thorough in her planning for our wedding this Spring. We booked her for the full planning package, and felt like we were a huge part of the process, which was important to us. One the day of, there were some almost major disasters such as an extreme transportation delay, (not the planner's error), and Laura and her team handled these things without us even really knowing about it until after the wedding and the guests raved about how she handled it. I think thats what makes a good planner; handling all of the things like some kind of ninja. Thanks so much Laura! :)
