  I had a phenomenal time with Joseph. He makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera and is a joy to be with. The pictures were breath taking and I couldn't be any happier with them.

  We highly recommend Joseph Pessar, Joseph photographed 2 of my brother’s wedding and when it was time for my wedding I knew exactly who I was going to call. He kept in contact from the time I hired him, he flew in from NJ to MIA to photograph my wedding and he was in constant contact with me to let me know when his flight was coming in for the wedding which made me feel so at ease. He showed up early the day of the wedding and captured all the little moments I wanted. Joseph is so easy to work with, very professional and takes the most amazing pictures. His sense for style is so unique and beautiful. Joseph has become family to us and I can’t wait to have him photograph our children one day.

  All in all very pleased with our choice of photographer. Joseph was professional, funny and made us feel relaxed. I haven't seen all the photos yet, but the ones I have seen look amazing!

  When I met Joseph and Siw and immediately knew that i wanted them to photograph my wedding, and I am so happy I chose them. Joseph was amazing, we were all crammed in a small apartment and he didnt make me feel at all stressed, he was easy going and so cool! He took amazing pictures of everyone, I havent seen the photos yet but I know they will be incredible! Even my guests are commenting on how great the photographer was. I cant wait to see our photos I know they will be Amazing! Thank you Joseph!!

  It was just perfect. Very nice service and because we came from Norway,everything was planned by Mail. We always got a quick response,and they gave us info about who to do my make-up etc, for our wedding and were very helpful. We decided where to be,and Siw followed us where we wanted.Really appreciate the service we got! During the photo session Siw made us feel comfortable and relaxed Even though we dont like being photographed,and the pictures look great! Thank you!

  Joseph Pessar did a great job with our wedding photography. They were able to capture some edgy and unique shots that I just wasn't seeing in other photographer's portfolios. They provided a lot of service at a highly competitive price and I enjoyed working with their team...the photos have brought us a ton of smiles from our memories.

  Joseph is the best! He was a professional, took amazing and creative shots and made everyone feel at ease on a stressful day. Our limo did not show up to our hotel on time and we (3 bridesmaids and I) jumped in Joseph's car and he was the reason we made it to the church on time. We have received many compliments about Joseph's attention to detail, personality and work product.
  
  I am sad to say that Joseph was not my 1st choice. I booked another photography and then he backed out. We contacted Joseph and we are SO happy things turned out the way they did because Joseph is amazing, a true artist and not just a guy with a camera!!

  We are a couple from Vienna, Austria [Europe] who decided to get married in NYC in September 2010. While our entourage was rather small [8 pax, including us] and while we knew we didn't want anything too extravagant [except it happening in New York], it was definitely clear to us that one thing needed to be special and extraordinary - the photographs. After all, that's about the best memorizing "tool" that you'll have in years and decades to come when you think back about your wedding.
  While organizing everything from Europe, the choice of photographer would ultimately be done through Google, and that's how we came accross Joseph Pessar. While we immediately loved his work that's published around the net, the question of his schedule and our budget was still kind of open. Luckily for us, none of these were a deal-breaker, as Joseph and us ultimately agreed on a very fair price as well as shooting time.
  We got married in Central Park [Ladies Pavillion], Joseph met us at our apartment in order to do some pre-ceremony shoot, which was kinda cool, as he was able to catch us in both coolness as in anxiety before the big moment. The ceremony went very smoothly, Joseph definitely caught the best moments, but it was the post-ceremony shoot that we were really looking forward to. We asked and agreed to have a post-ceremony shooting in some rather "unusual" locations in NYC, not showing the typical NY, rather "dirty, cheap & punk rock" so we asked Joseph to suggest and choose the spots where we - though dressed elegantly - would come off totally "married" but at a lousy corner where you wouldn't wanna hang at unless you lived there ;-)
  While NYC & Manhattan - in the meantime - probably don't have the reputation that it used to have in the 70s & 80s, the Meatpacking district definitely provided what we were looking for. And Joseph, having lived there years ago, definitely knew what spots, corners & locations would make this a totally rock n roll shoot.
  As far as the actual shooting goes, we've never seen [and we did have some on and off experiences with photographers] such a dedicated photographer as Joseph. He is and was able to switch from "everyday wedding" to something rather unusual, he was leading us during the shoot in the way that we'd experiment and try to be as outgoing but still stay comfortable in our skins :-). While knowing the neighborhood, we could see and relate to Joseph's ideas on the spot, as he was getting new ones every 5 yards we walked, so we definitely got ourselves such a diverse and extraordinary shoot and pictures that we're still being envied for such a great experience and photographs. And while we were a bit worried regarding the scheduled time [we were running late in all segments with the wedding, ceremony, the dinner afterwards etc.], Joseph kept cool at all times and never gave us the feeling of "X-hours and not a minute longer", which was totally fantastic and definitely helped us ease down.
  Our entire shoot lasted about 4,5hrs, and we got some 350-400 wonderful pictures out of it. Joseph was able to provide us a sneak-peek at the pictures the same evening [great service!]. We received the DVD with the entire collection some 3 weeks later by mail, as agreed, which was totally fine, knowing that a couple of friends had to wait a couple of months for their pictures by other photographers.
  A day or two after the wedding we met Joseph and his wonderful wife Siw on a social occasion and we can definitely say that we've become friends during this one of a kind experience. Great guys!
  Ultimately, if you're looking for an extraordinary and unforgettable experience taken in pictures, we definitely recommend Joseph. His uniqueness through the lens definitely made the happiest day of our lives even more happier.

  We are a couple from Vienna, Austria [Europe] who decided to get married in NYC in September 2010. While our entourage was rather small [8 pax, including us] and while we knew we didn't want anything too extravagant [except it happening in New York], it was definitely clear to us that one thing needed to be special and extraordinary - the photographs. After all, that's about the best memorizing "tool" that you'll have in years and decades to come when you think back about your wedding.
  While organizing everything from Europe, the choice of photographer would ultimately be done through Google, and that's how we came accross Joseph Pessar. While we immediately loved his work that's published around the net, the question of his schedule and our budget was still kind of open. Luckily for us, none of these were a deal-breaker, as Joseph and us ultimately agreed on a very fair price as well as shooting time.
  We got married in Central Park [Ladies Pavillion], Joseph met us at our apartment in order to do some pre-ceremony shoot, which was kinda cool, as he was able to catch us in both coolness as in anxiety before the big moment. The ceremony went very smoothly, Joseph definitely caught the best moments, but it was the post-ceremony shoot that we were really looking forward to. We asked and agreed to have a post-ceremony shooting in some rather "unusual" locations in NYC, not showing the typical NY, rather "dirty, cheap & punk rock" so we asked Joseph to suggest and choose the spots where we - though dressed elegantly - would come off totally "married" but at a lousy corner where you wouldn't wanna hang at unless you lived there ;-)
  While NYC & Manhattan - in the meantime - probably don't have the reputation that it used to have in the 70s & 80s, the Meatpacking district definitely provided what we were looking for. And Joseph, having lived there years ago, definitely knew what spots, corners & locations would make this a totally rock n roll shoot.
  As far as the actual shooting goes, we've never seen [and we did have some on and off experiences with photographers] such a dedicated photographer as Joseph. He is and was able to switch from "everyday wedding" to something rather unusual, he was leading us during the shoot in the way that we'd experiment and try to be as outgoing but still stay comfortable in our skins :-). While knowing the neighborhood, we could see and relate to Joseph's ideas on the spot, as he was getting new ones every 5 yards we walked, so we definitely got ourselves such a diverse and extraordinary shoot and pictures that we're still being envied for such a great experience and photographs. And while we were a bit worried regarding the scheduled time [we were running late in all segments with the wedding, ceremony, the dinner afterwards etc.], Joseph kept cool at all times and never gave us the feeling of "X-hours and not a minute longer", which was totally fantastic and definitely helped us ease down.
  Our entire shoot lasted about 4,5hrs, and we got some 350-400 wonderful pictures out of it. Joseph was able to provide us a sneak-peek at the pictures the same evening [great service!]. We received the DVD with the entire collection some 3 weeks later by mail, as agreed, which was totally fine, knowing that a couple of friends had to wait a couple of months for their pictures by other photographers.
  A day or two after the wedding we met Joseph and his wonderful wife Siw on a social occasion and we can definitely say that we've become friends during this one of a kind experience. Great guys!
  Ultimately, if you're looking for an extraordinary and unforgettable experience taken in pictures, we definitely recommend Joseph. His uniqueness through the lens definitely made the happiest day of our lives even more happier.

  Brides: if you are looking for an amazingly artistic photographer, hire Joseph Pessar! He captured hundreds (if not thousands!) of special moments which we will cherish for a lifetime. He is by far the most awesome! Thanks to him, the memories will be kept alive FOREVER! Other than hiring Joseph Pessar, the only advice I can give in this category is DONT BE CHEAP with photos! Your wedding night will be a blur just moments after it is all done. You will have undoubtedly "missed" a few great moments shared by your guests.
