Julie needs to be your wedding photographer! She was so much fun to be around, a consummate professional, so great at directing what to do, how to pose, where to stand, so we didn’t have to worry about anything except looking good! We ended up due for rain on our wedding day, but Julie was so on point with making sure we got outside at our venue (Colonial Heritage) to take photos before that happened, and even did such a great job with touching up some pictures that she made them look just like sunset pictures without any actual sunset. She did our engagement shoot as well, and that was so much fun and so easy as she knew exactly what she was doing in recommending a location and how to work it. During the ceremony and reception I hardly noticed her around, as she was so great at finding exactly where to be to capture the best photos without being in your face, and she caught some incredible moments I never would have known happened had she not been there! Some of our favorite photos were ones where she just winged it and said “hey let’s just try this,” her ideas were so great! Please, do yourself a favor and book Julie for your wedding!Julie Martin Photography's reply:

She was very helpful and flexible when talking through our wedding day and the different pictures that we wanted. Julie and her second photographer, Melissa, helped us feel comfortable. In my opinion, the photographer was one of the most important decisions we had to make when planning our October 2020 wedding, and I could not be happier with our choice! Julie Martin is amazing. She did our engagement and wedding pictures. She was so easy to talk to and fun to work with. When we were considering completely changing our wedding, because you know 2020, she was always on board and even willing to adjust our contract if needed. My husband and I are not the most photogenic people and can be incredibly awkward, but Julie did a great job our helping us relax and capturing great shots. Julie was assertive enough to wrangle our bridal party and family into pictures quickly, which is no easy feat, but at no point did any one get the impression she was bossy or difficult to work with. Our family and bridal party were very impressed and happy with how quickly all of our pictures were done and they could enjoy the party. Candid pictures were just as, if not more, important to us than posed pictures and we have so many great ones. Narrowing down our favorites from the nearly 1000 pictures we got was not easy!Julie Martin Photography's reply:

I would recommend Julie for any event. She did my wedding on 10/9/20 and I cried when she sent me a preview pictures. I don’t think she got one bad picture for the whole night. She was fun to work with and had a great sense of humor!Julie Martin Photography's reply:

Julie is unlike many other photographers in that she provides clients EVERY photo. I received around 2,000 pictures from our wedding - and every single one was beautiful! She doesn't over-edit and she is full of originality, which we love about her! My husband and I would not hesitate to recommend hiring Julie for your photography needs!

I was a total space case and forgot to give her the shot list form she sent me but instead made my own very last minute one and she totally worked around it and was so sweet about it! She really captured every moment and captured them so perfectly. The weather on my wedding day was 85 degrees with 100% humidity and it rained ALL DAY. She worked around the storms and got us really special and unique photos and we can't wait to order some to get them framed! She was so creative with the shots and made us very comfortable so we had lots of fun!

Megan Sent on 11/03/2017Julie's a great photographer - we really enjoyed working with her. Julie took so many photos and they turned out great! It was really rainy and gray that day and I was worried about how our photos would look but they're amazing, I love them. She got great shots of every stage of the day - getting ready, ceremony, wedding party, reception. And amazing day and night shots! She also turned around our photos in about two weeks! My husband and I have looked through them so many times already! Definitely recommend Julie 100%.

User2304816 Sent on 09/08/2015I highly recommend Julie for your wedding. It ended up being an extremely hot summer day for our outdoor wedding and we were a little worried about everyone looking hot and sweaty. All of the pictures turned out better than we could have imagined. Julie has an eye for good shots and her assistant did a great job too. We found her very easy to work with, especially my husband who is not really into posing or pictures. It's been two months and we still keep looking back to the pictures and seeing everything she captured that we didn't get to see in the moment. She really captured the faces and emotions throughout the whole ceremony and reception.
