Cindy and Just the Little Things were absolutely perfect. Our wedding went off without a hitch thanks to her attention to detail. She kept things running smoothly and even improvised when we were behind schedule. She and her assistant excecuted what was a seemingly chaotic double ceremony flawlessly. We could not have had such an amazing day without her and I highly recommend her to any bride who wants to just sit back relax and enjoy their wedding day (as they are supposed to)!!

Just the Little Things was amazing to work with! They handled all the last minute changes and made sure we happy the entire day. They were so professional, courteous and thoughful. Our families were really impressed with how they ran the rehearsal and how smooth everything felt on the day of! We couldn't have done it without Cindy and her assistant!

We're thankful for the services Cindy provided for our wedding. She made beautiful invitations & programs, packaged the favors & gifts, planned our wedding, and coordinated the day of. We never knew how much preparation goes into a wedding and was grateful to have Cindy's expertise on our side. We did not experience a lot of the unnecessary stress that typically comes with planning a wedding, because of her presence and acute attention to detail! She is professional, accommodating, and such a pleasure to work with!

Cindy did an amazing job. She was extremely attentive to detail and often took the initiative in contacting vendors for me. Her presence was a comfort throughout the night, and I honestly cannot imagine how my wedding would have turned out without her. It was truly a perfect night, thanks to Cindy!

When we first booked Cindy, my husband couldn't understand why we'd need those kinds of services, I was very organized and he figured that the venue coordinator would handle the rest. I assured him that come crunch time, Cindy was going to be very essential to the success of our wedding! (and BOY was I RIGHT) I thought I was a very organized bride, but being a "budget" bride I had lots of set ups and details I knew needed to be coordinated and I couldn't trust my venue to ensure all of our needs were being met. Cindy was amazing in handling my venue, which when I signed our contract was amazing and then gradually got less responsive to non responsive...and in fact the coordinator for my venue didn't even show up to the walk through I had scheduled for Cindy, myself and her; Of course Cindy took it all in stride!

I sadly went from a highly organized ahead of schedule bride to a mess when I lost my job a month and a half before our wedding...I was lucky enough to start a new job soon after, BUT fell off track with everything wedding in the process of readjusting to my new job! Again, Cindy was wonderful...held everything together, even though I was a disaster! Week of the wedding Cindy was instrumental in communicating with my venue which had switched venue coordinators on me a week and a half out to someone we've never met or even heard of! Our wedding day was wonderful, Cindy kept everything together...and trust me, that was NO easy feat! She was ultimately responsible for setting up our room with help from the venue staff and the room was breath taking, completely in sync with our vision! Cindy even emailed us at the end of our honeymoon to alert us of a problem from our wedding and that she had already talked to the venue on our behalf!

I know there are moments Cindy probably wanted to ring my neck and scream, but she stayed professional, courteous, and solution orientated every step of the way!
Cindy is amazing and I can't say enough about her service, we did her day of coordination service and it was above and beyond our expectations! After our wedding even my husband thought it was money well spent!

Thank you Cindy, it truly couldn't have happened with out you!

I like to believe that I am an organized person, since all my friends lean on me when it comes to event planning. So when we decided to have an outdoor ceremony at Wrigley Square in Millennium Park, I knew a day of coordinator (DOC) was a requirement. I, like most brides relied on wedding sites and internet for reviews on vendors. I met a couple of DOC, all of which had great reviews on the internet and loved all of them. I had a few criteria's that I looked for in a DOC. The most important one was, if they have ever organized a wedding at Millennium Park. One of the other DOC did, however, Cindy did not, at least not at that time. Going into our meeting, I thought I knew who I was going to go with, however, once I met with Cindy I wasn't too sure anymore. Even though Cindy did not have the experience with planning an event at Millennium Park, she had many experiences under her belt and I was very comfortable with her.

Hiring Cindy was the best decision and worth every penny. People always say that something will fall through the cracks, which was the main reason we wanted to hire a DOC. Cindy was easy to work with, creative, professional, detailed oriented, responsive, organized and most importantly, she had your best interest at heart. When we met up to do a walk through of the venues, we thought we came prepared with everything, our contracts, important phone numbers, etc. Boy were we wrong, Cindy thought of things that didn't even cross our minds and her attention to all the details of the wedding ceremony and reception venue was just unbelievable. She gave great advice and helped us with selecting our photographer to program ideas. Every time I would stress about something, she would put me at ease.

On the day of our wedding, there were quite a few issues. The ceremony started late because my family was stuck in traffic. Cindy continued to check on the status of their whereabouts and she still kept the whole wedding party on schedule. At the reception, the chair cover vendors ran late and therefore, the tables couldn't be set up. Cindy jumped right in and helped organized the chairs, menus, name cards, making sure everything was set up as planned. I remember my sister-in-law telling me that there was a table that was missing a couple of chairs. I ask Cindy if we could add some additional chairs and as soon as I turned around it was already taken care of. I am sure there were more issues that I didn't even know about because she took care of them unnoticeably.

I can't thank Cindy enough for making our day so special and stress-free.

We hired Cindy as our day-of coordinator after interviewing 2 other companies, both of which had received very positive reviews from references as well as on the Internet. Going into our meeting with Cindy, we were already pretty confident that we were going to go with one of the other companies, unless something utterly amazing happened. It did. We were struck by Cindy's professionalism, confidence, organizational skills, eye for design, and experience. We felt that she had just the right balance of friendliness and firmness that we needed in a wedding coordinator, and that she would be able to think quickly and handle any glitches that would undoubtedly come up on our wedding day. And we were right. Hiring Cindy was possibly the best vendor decision that we made. Her prices are very reasonable and she is worth every penny (and then some). Cindy has just the right personality and skill set for a great wedding coordinator. First, she is very organized -- she created several different lists for us, made detailed schedules for the rehearsal and actual wedding day, and was able to handle and keep track of several last-minute changes. During the weeks before the wedding, lots of different e-mails flew back and forth between us every day, all with different questions, responses, and thoughts. I was sure that something would fall through the cracks but nothing did. Cindy kept track of every detail, every change, and every outstanding issue. That ability is invaluable to a bride who has (or at least feels like she has) a million other things to attend to and remember. Second, Cindy is very thorough and knowledgeable -- she constantly thought of things that hadn't occurred to us and demonstrated an incredible attention to all the details of the wedding ceremony and reception. Third, Cindy is an advocate for you -- she has your best interest at heart and will do what is needed to ensure a smooth and successful wedding. She was firm with vendors on certain points where we would have just folded. And there were several times when Cindy would listen to how we wanted something done and suggest something different because of a consideration that we hadn't thought of. Rather than simply nodding her head or saying yes to whatever we wanted, Cindy spoke her mind when she felt, in her experience, that something might not work. In the end, of course, the decision was always up to us, but we were so grateful to her for bringing up these points and suggestions (which we invariably adopted, to our great benefit, I think). Fourth, Cindy is a quick thinker and a problem solver. We knew that no matter how carefully we planned our wedding, something would go wrong on the day-of. One of our main reasons for hiring a day-of coordinator was to handle any such problems. Our first unexpected glitch was that the air conditioner in the chapel decided to break down on our wedding day. Cindy was on it right away, calling the necessary people to get it fixed before I had a chance to worry about it. Cindy was also able to get an impromptu toast incorporated into our reception, coordinating with our DJ to fit it into the schedule seamlessly. Finally, Cindy is very accessible. She is very quick to respond via e-mail and phone, especially in the last few weeks before the wedding, when communicating with her is key. We couldn't have asked for a better day-of coordinator. Cindy was really invaluable -- even our guests noticed how competent she is. Several of them raved about her and commented about what a fabulous job she was doing. Our officiant told us multiple times how great she was at running our rehearsal and how glad he was that we had hired her. It is largely because of Cindy that we were able to relax and actually have fun at our wedding - we would definitely recommend her to everyone!

I cannot imagine how my wedding would have gone without Cindy from Just The Little Things! I used her day-of services, but she provided so much more than I expected. We met a month before my wedding for many hours to go through the plan for the day and a walk-through of the venue and she answered so many questions and gave so much advice, that she instantly put me at ease. On the day before my wedding, I was over an hour late to drop things off at the venue and she waited the entire time, which was above and beyond. She really advocated on my behalf with my vendors and even family. On the day, there were many issues that I didn't know about because she took care of them discreetly, which made my day so much more relaxed. Also, whenever I had a problem or someone would approach me with an issue (and there were a lot!), I instantly would tell them to ask Cindy and it would be taken care of. I was running late on the day and she was great at keeping the whole wedding party on schedule. Also, she did a great job helping with the set up of my rooms, making sure every detail was exactly as I wanted. The only regret I have is I didn't book her for more extensive services. She has great advice and style and in hindsight I would have loved to use her services for my programs, favors, etc as well as vendor advice. For any party I throw in the future, I'm definitly going to book Cindy's services!

Working with Cindy at just the little things. was by far the BEST money I spent throughout ALL the expenses for my wedding. She was so organzied from the beginning, helping me thinking of minor details that would have gone missed without her expertise. On the day of the wedding, her assistance at the church, helping us stay organized, fixing last minute dress issues, etc,. certainly helped me stay calm and enjoy the ceremony. The reception ran without a glitch because of Cindy's organization and ability to keep the party flowing. I did not have to worry about any little detail that may have gone wrong at the reception... if anything did, she fixed it before it was brought to my attention! I was able to relax and enjoy my reception knowing that things were being organized and under control because Cindy was there. If anyone needs a party planner, Cindy is the absolute best choice. I have already suggested her to several friends!

Cindy was a delight to work with! She was very thorough and patient with the whole process. She was detail oriented and she makes it a point to get things accomplished on time and to stay flexible if things get a little hectic as they often do. Cindy Kang helped us plan our wedding of around 115 guests at the Redfield Estate at the Grove. She was very organized, checking with vendors the week leading up to the wedding, which averted a cake mix-up because the baker had gotten confused over what cake we had chosen months earlier. Later, when it was discovered that the ring boy and flower girl had poked a hole in the base of the cake (before we had cut it), Cindy and the florist hid the defect with some carefully placed flowers so none of my guests were the wiser.

Cindy also made the excellent suggestion of donating our flowers to a nursing home after the reception and took care of it for us. She stayed until the end of the reception, making sure everything was properly packed and returned to us. She had purchased picture frames and put photos of us around the house to add a personal touch to the decor and they were all tastefully done. Our little cake topper came back to us too.

In addition, Cindy designed our wedding invitations, menu cards, programs, seating cards, and out-of-town welcome bags. Many of our guests commented on how beautiful the handmade wedding invitations were and on the adorable programs that folded out like a wide accordian. Our gift bags were beautifully made and much appreciate by our out-of-town guests. Cindy found Frango mints with the Chicago skyline on them, and put itineraries for the weekend in each bag. The welcome bag labels had childhood photos of the bride and group attached that she created. She's got a great eye for graphic design and color.

Cindy pays attention to detail, has meticulous execution, and is a very thoughtful and patient wedding planner. She's was very collaborative and easy to work with. We could not have had such a well-organized and beautiful day without her help.

We hired Cindy as a Day of Coordinator but she went above and beyond in our book. She responded quickly to e-mails and was so incredibly organized (when I wasn't!) Cindy was extremely flexible in meeting places, working around last minute timelines, and going as far to meet at my house to pick up wedding items that couldn't be stored at the reception venue. She was there to stay in contact and work out any issues with our difficult venue. Everything was set-up beautifully and she was on the ball the entire time leading up to the wedding and the day of. Honestly, my wedding and reception would have been a mess without her that day!

We hired Cindy as our Day of Wedding Coordinator. When we were meeting with Cindy, it was clear that she had alot of good ideas and suggestions regarding stuff we didn't think about for the wedding. But at the same time, I wasn't sure that hiring a DOC was something we really needed for the wedding day. However, on the day of the wedding, Cindy really demonstrated why brides/grooms getting married should consider hiring a DOC. She was everywhere putting out small fires so my husband and I could just enjoy the wedding day. She was really professional and I would strongly recommend hiring her.

Cindy is the one reason my wedding day went so smoothly. even though i planned as much i could ahead of time and i was pretty anal about it, there are still little things that went wrong or little problems that came up (like at all weddings), and she really saved the day and solved all the little problems without me even knowing. she made sure that she took care of problems or issues that came up w/o bothering me or my husband or stressing us out. that was PRICELESS!!

ok...to be more specific. here are some things she did off the top of my head:
- there was an issue with our organ player and he said he had to leave a lot earlier than we had planned. she spoke to him and made sure he stayed longer and she also made sure that we went down the aisle exactly on time so we would be sure to have the organ player for our recessional as well. i had no idea any of this happened until weeks after the wedding when i spoke to her.
- one of my bridesmaids stepped on my veil and it ripped literally minutes before the ceremony. cindy calmly took a pair of scissors from her emergency kit and perfectly cut off the ripped section. since i had a cut edge veil anyway, it looked perfect and no one ever knew it had ripped.
- there was a second door to our church that led right to the front of the sanctuary and people kept going in that door by accident. cindy sent two girls helping out to that door and had them stand there and redirect people to the main door.
- at the reception, i had to pin my dress up before our first dance, she whisked me away to our suite, was on her hands and knees pinning everything up. something i would have felt bad asking my mom or bridesmaids to do (since they were all dressed up too)
- at our reception, i needed an extra pair of comfy shoes at the table. she had all that with her and placed everything where it needed to be so i wouldn't have to worry about it

Cindy provides exceptional quality of service! She is meticulously detail oriented, making the bride feel 100% confident that the day will run smoothly. Cindy was a breath of fresh air from other wedding vendors we worked with and encountered. She responded quickly to all of my questions via email within hours, and always provided great suggestions. Our reception venue was not the easiest to work with, and Cindy did a great job of listening to all of our requests and ensuring they were executed on our wedding day despite our difficult venue.

We mainly needed Cindy as a wedding coordinator for our day and she worked over and beyond at the level of a project manager!

Cindy is forward thinking and completely led us in the right direction - reminding us of little details that we would never come up with on our own as our heads were already spinning! Throwing a hugelycultural wedding, we chose Cindy because her vast knowledge of and confidence with "not so ordinary" weddings. Her organization skills are top notch and our other vendors really enjoyed working with her.

She deserves a purple heart for commanding a large party (350+) and entourage (40+). I do feel though that perhaps another body was needed (in no way belittling her skills). Given the scope of happenings that day, it would've helped unload the stress from all if the workload was divided as "timekeeper" and "personal assistant to the couple".

We highly recommend Cindy.

We paid for Day of Coordination and received additional planning more than that. Throughout the whole wedding night, she was checking in with us to make sure our drink was full, we were getting everything we wanted, and made sure all the guests were happy while at the same time having the wedding reception run smoothly. Overall she was a value add and we were glad to have had her onboard when the wedding came to.

I was a VERY, VERY organized bride. I gave myself 18 months to prepare for this day. Every vendor repeatedly told me that they had not seen a more organized bride (especially when I handed them their own timelines and manifests). Because of this, I did not need most of Cindys serviceslike putting together timelines, drop off lists, etc. I already had those things done at our pre-wedding meeting 4 weeks before the wedding. She just took them and put them in her own formats (which often had mistakes). I just needed someone to be there to orchestrate the things that I could not, i.e. the ceremony and the reception. I needed someone to make sure things were to my detailed specifications before guests arrived, and I could not. This she seemed to do very well.

Prior to the wedding, she asked that I get the seating arrangements to her ASAP. I had the final count to her by Monday before the wedding. On Thursday I went to the reception place and they asked where the seating arrangements were. I contacted her and she sent them that day.On Saturday (the day before the wedding) at 4:45 pm, I received a call from the reception place asking for the seating arrangements. They never got them.I know she e-mailed them because she copied me on the e-mail.HOWEVER, I had to call my FI to e-mail them to the place because Cindy was at another wedding at that time.When he e-mailed the file to them, it was returned twice undeliverable, so he faxed it. I dont understand why she did not know the e-mail did not go through.I did not like that I had to deal with this problem, as other things at the same time were falling apart.

I had her attend the rehearsal.She put the pastor in charge and said she would assist him. When she started lining up people for the processional and things were going wrong, I stepped in to make sure everyone knew what was going on. These problems arose because I would send her e-mails to make changes to the timelines and only a few of the changes would be implemented. So at the rehearsal, half the changes were not on her timeline. Really, she was not necessary at the rehearsal and I could have done it myself, but it was good she was there so she could see how I wanted things for the ceremony on the day of.

On the day of, first off, she wore flip flops. She wore a dress, but she wore flip flops with it. We paid her $625 for the day/rehearsal. I know shes not the most expensive person out there, but she should have worn something other than flip flops. I really expected better. A few of my family members commented that they could not believe she wore flip flops. Prior to the ceremony she seemed like she had everything together. As the ceremony time approached she seemed to lose it again. She had the parents/grandparents line up, but did not ask the BMs to line up. I sent them to go get in line because I figured she would need them. Turns out, she did. She also had my parents set to go in before my BMs and they were supposed to walk in last before me. Thankfully that got ironed out at the last second (by someone else). Before she left to line up the processional, she told me she would be back to get me and my BM. When she didnt come back, I sent them, and then I started to come out. As soon as I got out of my room, she was yelling that she needed me to get there faster, obviously because she ran out of time. I was not impressed by the way she handled that at all. She handled the processional poorly at the rehearsal, and she did not do any better at the ceremony.

When I got to the reception my BMs were missing their bags that they had just put at the head table.They said they talked to Cindy and she was working on it.I then asked Cindy and she said she was working on it.One second later a person from my reception place introduced themselves and told me that I had a bridal suite and those things were already in it. It would have been nice if that had been ironed out before I got there. Things ran smoothly otherwise, but I cant honestly say how much of that was thanks to Cindy.

Over time I realized that she kind of had an attitude and acted like I bothered her, mainly when I expected to need her the most. None of my family was very impressed by her, which disappointed me, because I expected her to be great. Some of my vendors mentioned that she was very snotty (unlike other coordinators they have worked with). I also heard that they felt she was unorganized.

She did seem detail oriented, but it was only on some details, cause other times she seemed in over her head.

Thank you for review. I understand that you were unhappy with some of my services, but I wanted to clarify a few things.

I emailed over the seating arrangements and when I called the Banquet center, they said that they received it. When I arrived at the center on the day of, I confirmed that they had everything and they said that there was a mix-up and that they found it later on.

For your rehearsal, I spoke with the Pastor and he explained that he likes to run rehearsals which I understood because it was his show and he was going to explain all of the details along the way.

Unfortunately, your bags 'disappeared' right before you arrived and I was trying to find the on-site coordinator just as fast as I could while my assistant was handling some other issues.

Again, I'm sorry for your dissatisfaction.
