Wonderful experience
I knew I could trust your brides to help me find a bagpiper for my aunt's funeral. Kim played beautifully. Excellent value, thoughtful and compassionate with our circumstances plus she knew everyone of my Aunt's favorite songs. So thank you to all the wedding couples that have recommended her! Kim did an Amazing job!
Kim did an outstanding job. She provided us with a list of songs and links to her YouTube video to see her perform. She helped us narrow down which tunes to choose when we liked them all. She was very professional and caring. She played three songs for us, until my mom snuck in and requested the Star Wars theme to be played as my husband and I got to the end of the aisle. It was amazing everyone was commenting on how good she was and how cool she played Star Wars. My husband is a huge Star Wars fan!Kim Johnson Michigan Bagpiper's reply:

We can't say enough good things about Kim. Each song she played was beautiful and perfectly complemented our ceremony that already had a bit of Scottish flair. We hired Kim to perform a surprise bagpiper recessional for our wedding at the Masonic Temple. Everything went perfectly, the Masonic had a special spot for her to stage in and as we recessed she started playing. All of guests were surprised and excited by the amazing music Kim performed. Kim was amazing! She was very professional and the perfect addition to our semi-Scottish wedding! All our guests loved the pipes playing and it was an unexpected treat for most! Nothing was better than walking down the aisle to Highland Cathedral! The off-the-wall songs that she also knows really gave our guests a thrill! I hired Kim Johnson to pipe at our wedding as a surprise to my husband's mum and dad. They live overseas and didn't get to be much of a part of our wedding planning. His mum is 100% Scottish and I knew that she'd be pleased if I incorporated part of his Scottish heritage into our wedding. Kim was super responsive and did a great job playing the prelude to our wedding as guests were arriving and being seated as well as playing after the ceremony. I highly recommend her. -

Kim is not only talented, but she is very person. Her piping really added to our relay for life ceremony and set a beautiful atmosphere for those people in attendance. She volunteers her service every year. It wouldn't be the same without her and her gift of music. -

I've used Kim for several memorials over the course of 3 years. She has always arrived early, accommodated families and weather does not keep her away. Families really appreciate her and end up repeat customers. -

Kim was amazing! I found her doing a search online. She was very prompt will all e-mails and made sure to check in with me to confirm all final details the day prior. She played both the processional and recessional and then played for about a 1/2 hour as our guests hung around outside after the ceremony. She was amazing and friendly and even took photos with us in the church after the ceremony. -

Kim Johnson was the best Michigan Bagpiper I have ever seen and I have seen many and have heard many, but she went out of her way in playing her pipes for us longer than I thought she would and made my Mom's 78th b-day and my granddaughters 9th b-day the most special they have ever had...Her friendliness and willingness was over and above what most would ever do and I applaude her for not only how wonderful she sounded, but she came in her kilt and looked great!

Kim was very helpful with choosing the apropriate music for our wedding. When a bagpipper starts into the service it just brings an absolutly wonderful touch to a wedding. Turns peoples heads and draws there attention to where it should be the couple being married. Kim was very positive in every step of the way and even helped relieve some tension at rehersal.
