  We had an evening wedding at La Ferme and had the whole restaurant. They did a great job with the ceremony and reception which included a seated dinner. Set up a dance floor for us, recommended a DJ, and florist. Had a really nice fireplace mantle for the ceremony and the wonderful side porch for cocktails. A guest who had been to 15 weddings this year said La Ferme served the best wedding food hands down. Prasad was very easy and flexible to work with.

  We could not have been more pleased with everything Alain and the team at La Ferme did for us. When we first spoke with Alain about making plans, he said it was his job to make sure everything was done perfectly so we had nothing to worry about. He came through BIG TIME. The food and service were tremendous. Many, many guests expressed how impressed they were. The restaurant is a lovely atmosphere for a wedding as is the surrounding neighborhood - making for great photo opportunities. Another note about the food: we were able to create a custom menu featuring as many or as few choices as we wanted. We chose 4 appetizer and 5 entrée options. The efficiency and professionalism of the staff was impressive as was the timing of the kitchen. The true 'icing on the cake' was the wedding cake. We sent Alain a picture of a cake we liked and said 'dark chocolate with marzipan.' That was all he needed to make a spectacular cake. All in all, this was an extremely easy and memorable event.

  Both the owner and staff at La Ferme were a pleasure to work with. Several of our guests commented on the quality of service and delicious food. I highly recommend hosting your event at La Ferme - you WILL NOT be disappointed!

  It was a pleasure to work with Monsieur Roussel. The menu selections were varied and we got lots of good comments from guests about the food. The white chocolate raspberry mousse cake was spectacular and so beautiful. The restaurant has a charming atmosphere and was a delightful place for a wedding reception.

  Delicious classic French food, perfect service, in a lovely inn. They were very helpful coming up with a budget that worked and suggesting minor and major ways to improve the day from lots of other wedding experiences. Kind and thoughtful staff - the waiters adapting the day of the event to food allergies, the manager graciously accepting my deletion of a few seats and changing minor items the week before. Everyone has told us that the food was excellent - having a choice of appetizers, entrees, and desserts at a wedding is unheard of but delicious and still cost us on par with a preset caterer, our immediate family is now hooked on them for special events.

  La Ferme is a darling little restaurant in the middle of Chevy Chase neighborhood. Think country French. The food is excellent!! They were very easy to work with - make sure you go sit down with them in person to go over the menu; it makes it easier. We don't drink alcohol so they were very accommodating in trading it out for cider, which we really appreciated. We had our luncheon in the upstairs Attic Room, which was air conditioned and the perfect size for my 40 person party. The price was good, albeit a little more than we expected since we didn't have alcohol. But it was definitely worth it. Make sure you plan ample time to eat, as serving the food was a bit slower than we anticipated. My husband and I had to leave early to catch a train and we didn't get to try their dessert. They did let us my cake vendor bring her cake in and set it up - even offered to store it the night before if needed. Overall though I would recommend La Ferme if you are looking for good French food in a low key venue. Definitely charming!
