Beautiful and Delicious

I went to high school with Jessy and I'm not being biased when I say she is great! I had seen many cakes over the years that she has done and I knew when my time came I'd want to hire her for my cake. I also like to support local and small businesses, especially ones founded and run by families and women! I really like the simple naked look. The flavors were delicious and she will customize and design to your desire!

Jessica was very accommodating and gave great advice--since I had never ordered a wedding/70th anniversary cake in the past. We had an unusual cake topper, and Jessica did a great job incorporating it. The cake was wonderful!! Many people were surprised that the cake tasted so good and was so moist! They said I picked the best person and wanted to know who made it. Thank you so much!

Jessy created a bridal shower cake, grooms cake and wedding cake for me. ALL of them tasted like heaven. The chips and fun flavor was my favorite! So moist and yummy. My wedding cake was absolutely beautiful. I felt very comfortable that Jessy saw my vision for my cake and she nailed it. It was gorgeous and tasted amazing. Jessy thank you so so much for everything!

We ordered a cake from Lemon Tulip for my daughter's bridal shower and was blown away at how delicious it was. So, we ordered the rehearsal cake AND wedding cake from Jessie as well. It was 5 layers, all different flavors. Our guests all raved at how delicious it was and how moist it was. Jessie was very responsive and designed a gorgeous cake which complemented the wedding décor yet so creative. Her cake recipe is absolutely delicious. All the flavors are absolutely wonderful!

My friend, knowing I still needed a wedding cake, came across LTC on Facebook and sent me the link after seeing some awesome pictures. And Good Lord! It left a mark. For the tasting, she drove all the way out to Leesburg bringing hands down the best cakes I have ever tasted. They were beautiful, moist, and the flavors (especially the lemon blueberry) were out of this world. Her from scratch recipes with all natural ingredients sets her apart. She was professional and prepared. She had answers to questions I hadn't even thought of. Her passion and enthusiasm was not only apparent but appreciated as it brought some great ideas to the table. She was flexible, accommodating, responsive, and just so easy work to with. Since the wedding, LTC is my go to for cakes for all occasions. Even now I'm looking at the calendar for an excuse to place my next order.

I cannot say enough great things about Lemon Tulip Cakes!!!! Delicious does not even cut it!! My husband and I were SO incredibly happy with our wedding cake and cupcakes - as well as our guests! I work in the wedding industry myself so I have tasted a lot of wedding cakes and I must say, ours was the best I've ever tasted! It was so fresh and moist and not to mention - beautiful! Jessica took my requests and made a cake even better than what I had in mind!! I would definitely recommend Lemon Tulip Cakes for any occasion!!

Lemon Tulip cakes are amazing! We asked for a specific design I found on pinterest, and Jessica had no problem duplicating it. Flavors are wonderful, prices are reasonable (my sister got married in 2010 and paid almost double for a cake that was no where near Lemon Tulip's quality) and she is very professional.

We heard about Jessica from a friend. She had the best flavor cakes of everyone we tried. She also made a great grooms cake. She was also very fairly priced and flexible. Jessica was a pleasure to work with.

THe cake was beautiful.........and everyone thought it was sooooooo delish!
Jessica was always prompt to answer my questions........she was ever so willing to decorate with my ferns and sage leaves which I provided.People are still commenting on how lovely and tasty the cake was......I froze some and it was still terrific!
What a treat to work with Jessica and know it will be perfect!!

As I was researching bakeries for my upcoming wedding, I was introduced to Lemon Tulip cakes by the Washingtonian.com wedding page. I met the baker for a tasting of her various cake flavors and all I could say was "mmmm yummy". The cakes were so moist and the frosting so fresh. She gave us the option to choose two flavors for our three tiered cake. We chose the simply white for two tiers and simply white with chunks of strawberries with a vanilla buttercream frosting for the other. As for the design, I brought in a picture of a cake I liked from a wedding magazine. She told me it was doable. Fast forward to the wedding day...my cake was absolutely beautiful, looked just like the picture, and the taste..amazing. Normally after the dinner and dancing, most guests skip cake, not this cake. Purely delicious.

My overall experience with Lemon Tulip cakes was very pleasant. The baker knows what she is doing and is very detailed oriented. Communication was always via email and prompt. Delivery was on time as well. Also her Facebook page always keeps you wanting to try more of her creations.

I highly recommend her services for your next event.

She was wonderful to work with! The cake turned out beautifully and was absolutely delicious! I got so many compliments on our carrot cake! Even the kids at our reception who "hate carrot cake" ate several slices because it was so delicious! I highly recommend her cakes!

We found Lemon Tulip Cakes through the Washingtonian Bride and Groom deals and steals last fall. We took a chance because we really just had a cake to keep my MIL happy. I am so incredibly glad that we did -- the cake and cupcakes were amazing! They looked great and tasted even better. When we were concerned about keeping our color scheme (yellow) but wanted raspberry flavoring, Jessica suggested that we have raspberry jam filling rather than raspberry frosting. We had friends ask us just last night who our baker was - the cupcakes were that good. I would highly recommend Lemon Tulip Cakes to anyone - the cake was moist, the frosting the perfect balance (not too sweet) and it looked great!

Lemon Tulip Cake & Bakery was perfect from beginning to end!!!!
She went above and beyond by delivering the cake to our venue all the way out by Baltimore and she listened to everything that I asked for and made it happen. She had great in put and added a beautiful flower to the cake that matched our colors. It was moist, delicious and was enough for everyone to enjoy. I've heard nothing but rave reviews from my guests as well!!! As a baker and a very picky person, I was impressed.
It was EXACTLY what we wanted for our wedding. Thank you for adding to our perfect day!
I just wish I had taken more home with me. We LOVED it.

After my cake decorator cancelled at the last minute, Lemon Tulip Cakes was quick to help set up a tasting and save the day! Their cake was delicious, the owner was very sweet and helpful, and I feel like it was a blessing that the first person cancelled so I could have the pleasure of getting my cake from Lemon Tulip! My husband's birthday is coming up and I've already requested another cake from them to celebrate!

From the start Jessica was flexible, responsive, and friendly! She worked around my busy schedule (even though i'm sure hers was just the same) and even agreed to meet me closer to my house so that I could deliver the cake topper to her to keep!

When we met for our tasting she brought all sorts of samples with her, and not just one bite of a flavor but cupcakes! It really helped to actually get a taste for the cake and icing and since I brought two people with me there was enough for everyone to try it. She explained everything thoroughly and gave suggestions based on design and decorations when I was unsure of the look I wanted. She knew what I would be happy with and I definitely was!

Jessica checked in with me a couple of weeks before the wedding date and assured me that she would work directly with the venue POC to drop off the cake and that I didn't need to worry about a thing. True to her word, the cake was brought in and set up right on time. It was decorated perfectly!

Jessica has a true talent for decorating which you can see in her designs but they also taste AMAZING! We had so many people come up to us that evening to let us know the cake was so delicious :) I made sure a piece was saved for me and it was just as good as I remembered her sample cupcakes being.

I would definitely recommend to anyone I know to use Jessica, it was so nice working with her, start to finish! I will definitely be using her for special events moving forward- top notch!!!

BEST AROUND!!! We were so happy with our wedding cake, it was perfect from taste to appearance, everything! She was great with working with our work schedules to meet with us and was available to talk and answer any questions we had. We had so many compliments on our Wedding cake! We even saved our top tier for our 1 year anniversary, and it tasted just as good as it did on our wedding day! We also had cupcakes made for my son's birthday that we were very happy with!! I would definitely recommend Lemon Tulip cakes to anyone for any occasion!

Jessica did both our bridal cake and groom's cake. We enjoyed meeting with her to come up with the designs and taste her samples. We really liked the fact that we were able to have alternating layers (red velvet and carrot) for our wedding cake and a custom flavor (vanilla with orange sprinkles) for the groom's cake. Jessica did an excellent job helping us estimate the amount of cake we needed to serve our guests. We got lots of compliments on the both the appearance and the taste of both cakes. We look forward to using her again and recommending her to friends!

For my daughter's Sweet 16, Lemon Tulip cakes made a beautiful 3 fondant tier cake, one layer dark chocolate, another vanilla and the bottom one lemon cake, delicious! We also wanted cupcakes with zebra printed paper. Both Chocolate and Vanilla cupcakes on two stands on each side of the cake. It was beautiful. Jessica caught the essence of what we wanted. The cupcakes were perfect, just right to eat, they don't fall apart like many other cupcakes. Everyone enjoyed them and loved the lemon cake of all. I will use them again for my daughter's graduation cake.

I was absolutely thouroughly impressed with Jessica & Lemon Tulip Cakes! This was my first experience with ordering a specialty cake. She truly held my hand and walked me through the entire process of knowing how large of a cake I would need for our guests and how the pricing model worked. The prices Jessica offered were EXTREMELY COMPETITIVE if not much lower what other bakers were quoting me. I provided the exact design my daughter dreamt of and on the day our our event Jessica delivered as promised, ontime, PRECISELY what we asked for. Several guests complimented how delicious the cake was (and believe me....IT WAS YUMMY) and I'm eager to refer Jessica more business. In fact, my friend already has a contract with her for a larger cake than ours for an event in June. Jessica was extremely easy-going, attentive, confident in her work, kind, professional, always prompt to return calls and emails and was overall very pleasant to deal with. Thank you for all of your hard work Jessica! You are truly talented!

We found Jessica through Facebook and a special she was running on naked cakes. While she lived 6 hours from us and where we held our wedding my best friend was able to transport for us. The cake and as truly delicious and beautiful! Love love love it!
