  The Liaison and Art & Soul was the perfect place for our small wedding. The food was amazing, the service was outstanding. We decorated the restaurant's private dining room and the sidewalk patio ourselves - and the staff was very helpful in setting everything up. The Capitol dome is visible from the sidewalk patio - at night it is a beautiful background. Ray, the catering director, was a pleasure to work with and had good ideas on the menu and flow of the event. The few minor hiccups that we experienced (and everyone does in wedding planning) were quickly resolved.
  
  The hotel rooms were wonderful and the location is great for out-of-towner easy access to stroll around the Mall and museums on their free time. We did not have to worry about people getting lost or giving them Metro directions.
  
  And the night before, my now husband and I chatted with our guests in the hotel lobby/bar area after dinner with our parents. It was a fun, casual yet cool space that facilitated mingling and conversation --- we closed the place down that night.
  
  If you are looking for a modern yet unpretentious venue, look no further.

  My husband and I loved having our wedding here. Everyone is so nice and helpful, and everything looked WONDERFUL. I would highly recommend to all.

  The hotel was lovely, and very accommodating. They are redoing the main rooms, but I found them to be beautiful the way they were. Whatever snafus there were, were fixed immediately. Ray, the catering director, was extraordinaryily helpful and very responsive. He took away all my worries, and resolved any problems. His ideas about the menu were right on. He made my small wedding work beautifully, especially the flow and tempo of the rooms. The food was out of this world. Do be specific regarding the cake service, as that did not go the way I wanted. However, everything else was wonderful.
