We hosted our son and new daughter in laws welcome party here! The night was a tremendous success. Everything was perfect-each app, dinner, dessert, drinks, wait staff and Carrie the coordinator mad this a party to remember. We recommend this venue for anyone looking for a great party for their wedding! Thank you Lightfoot-you started our wedding weekend celebration off on the right foot. Bravo!!

Lightfoot was the perfect venue for our wedding. Carrie was responsive throughout the entire planning process. The wait staff was professional, friendly, and accommodating. Multiple guests said the food was the best wedding food they have ever had. The vibe of the restaurant is classy, timeless, and speaks for itself. My husband and I were so proud to host our guests here.

The staff at the Lightfoot was amazing - they hosted a beautiful event and the food was delicious. They were organized, responsive, and punctual. We will definitely be back for future events!

We held our wedding reception at the Lightfoot Restaurant. There were 70 people in attendance that night. I would highly recommend it as a reception location if you are looking for a place in Leesburg, VA. It is a beautiful building that is so historic and charming on the inside, that you will get the wow factor without adding many other decorations. I cannot say enough about the food, and neither could our wedding guests. I am so impressed that the food I had during my tasting was exactly what was delivered to all of my guests. We included a raw bar during the cocktail hour and it was a hit. The cake was also DELICIOUS. I really appreciated that I didn't have to hire an outside baker to handle our cake, and it was so good that I think everyone ate it. My husband also was impressed by the beer selection. No Miller/Coors Light here. If you appreciate craft beers, you'll be happy to know that the Lightfoot offers their own Lightfoot Ale that is delicious. Overall, I was so happy to work with a venue that proved everything you need for a great night. The only other vendors I hired were a DJ and photographer, and I made the decorations myself. If you are looking for a reception space that is more unique than a hotel ballroom and offers WAY better food at a MUCH better price, be sure to check out the Lightfoot Restaurant.

I cannot say enough about Lightfoot!!! Everything was beyond my expectations. The food was absolutely amazing, the staff was beyond professional, and the building itself is absolutely gorgeous. The planning process was super easy all around. I described my vision for the reception to Carrie and she truly turned in into a reality. The staff went above and beyond my every expectation. The venue offers a bridal suite with a private bathroom which was more than I could have asked for. It made getting ready so easy. I am practically speechless over how everything turned out. We had a day time wedding with an 11:00am ceremony and was worried it would not have the elegance of a later wedding. I never should have worried because everything was PERFECT!

There was no place else that could have provided the mind blowing food, atmosphere and intimacy that Lightfoot did. All other locations would have charged $2k-$3k just for the facility. My wedding cake designed by the team there - WAS THE TALK of my guests for DAYS! My relatives who have eaten all over the world could not stop raving about the food, we gave the choices of Steak and Crab Cake, Salmon and Crab cake, Chicken and Crabcake or Ingrids Famous Eggplant Parm - all the choices were amazing!
Highly recommended for not only weddings but for small gatherings, important birthday dinners, just about anything you want a wonderful experience for yourself and your guests.

I was an out-of-state bride and Carrie and Lightfoot Restaurant made my life so easy. The building itself is historic and beautiful located on the main street of a neat, historic Main Street. The ambiance and atmosphere was perfect for our seated dinner reception. It's a place that requires little decoration because its already so classic and elegant. But the best thing is that they do everything - our cake, table setup, etc. Another thing I appreciated was their website - it was easy to navigate and I was able to find all the pertinent information for pricing, food options and services for receptions.

Lightfoot is the Perfect location for the wedding ceremony and reception! Do yourself a favor and go out to Lightfoot restaurant and visit the upstairs banquet area (and have a bite to eat also). It is the PERFECT location for a wedding for around 100 people or less. It is a really beautiful facility and right in historic Leesburg sets up for some great wedding photographs. They have a nice banquet room for the ceremony and reception, a beautiful piano bar area right outside the banquet room where you can have the cocktail party, and a very nicely decorated bridal room where the bride can relax and get ready for the ceremony. Carrie was great to work with during the months and months of planning (I had many questions) and in handling the nuances of the wedding day (timing and staff preparation). We had our ceremony in the Sheridan room and after that, the Lightfoot staff re-arranged the room for the reception (put down the dance floor, put tables in place, etc) while we had crab cake and bacon-wrapped scallop appetizers and enjoyed cocktails in the piano bar area (Everyone really loved the Wine : )). We also went outside to the Leesburg courthouse area for some great photographs. The reception was great also. What amazing food! Your guests will rave about the food for sure. We had buffet style food which was good because everyone wanted more : ). The food and beverage is great (Lightfoot even did our cake which was amazing), the service is fantastic and professional, the prices are very reasonable (no facility rental costs), and the entire facility is so unique, elegant, and beautiful. Carrie and the whole staff at Lightfoot are awesome to work with!

What a perfect location to host our wedding! Ideal for those looking to host their ceremony and reception all in the same place. Carrie was a true pleasure to work with and the entire team was great!
Of course the food was amazing...but the best surprise were the cakes. Rob, the Pastry Chef is a true talent. He definitely exceeded our expectations.

All of our guests raved about the food and service! We are so happy to have shared our special day with the Lightfoot Team.

The owners (chef and CEO) and staff at Lightfoot were amazing to work with and were only surpassed by the delicious food. The cake was SO good and so beautiful. Don't overlook this venue for a wedding of 120 or less!! It is beautiful, unique, and you work directly with the women in charge! Lightfoot is already a great restaurant with beautiful location and decor, and is not inexpensive but well worth it. BUT as a wedding venue, you subtract fees for site, tent, caterer, corkage, rentals....and it is the best value anywhere! The food and staff are wonderful....everything you want for your special event! Thanks Carrie & Ingrid! AWESOME JOB!!!!

Great restaurant with lots of character! The food was fantastic and the service was wonderful as well! We used the Sheridan room (upstairs portion of the restaurant) that included the use of the bar/piano area directly outside the room. It was very private and perfect for a rehearsal dinner.

This was absolutely a perfect venue for my reception. It's the most beautiful place ever - people were stunned. The servers were wonderfully friendly. And the food - oh my goodness! Everyone always says "you never eat on your wedding day" because everyone wants to talk to you or is clinking their glasses for you to kiss. But when the food came, everyone was all but silent! We ate our entire meal, people only clinked the glasses once! People just couldn't stop eating, the food was THAT good. I am CONSTANTLY being told how amazing the food and atmosphere were. GET THE CRAB CAKE!! It's an entire mound of almost NOTHING but huge chunks of crab!! And everything was perfectly seasoned. Carrie was great to work with, she always answered all of my questions (and I had a lot). She made sure everything worked out perfectly.

From the moment my groom and I walked into Lightfoot, we knew that it was the place for our reception. It is a truly beautiful restaurant in the heart of old town Leesburg. Carrie was very helpful, answering all of our questions along the way and was always very understanding. We also found that if we were rained out for our outdoor ceremony, that Lightfoot could host it, even on short notice. The food was delicious and the wait staff were all very professional. I received so many compliments about my reception. It will always be a very special place for us and we plan on enjoying many anniversary dinners there.

We had our reception at Lightfoot. Carrie was responsive throughout the process; she answered my many questions and was very accommodating to my requests. They even served my brother a unique salad because of a nut allergy. Carrie sat down with us at the tasting to help us decide how many appetizers to plan for based on our number of guests- which saved us from paying for more than we needed to. The reception ran very smoothly and the staff was wonderful. I was not feeling well the whole evening and everyone was very attentive offering medicine and alternate food options- I will never forget that kindness. If you are planning lots of DIY decor and do not have a planner to set up, just know that you may not have access to the space until 2 hours before your event depending on whether the space is booked for other events that day. We were very lucky to be able to set up the day before because of availability, which took a lot of stress off. Carrie did help set up in the bar area since there was a ceremony the morning of our event, and everything looked great.

I highly recommend Lightfoot as a wedding venue. It is a gorgeous building and the food was absolutely fantastic. Our guests raved about how delicious every bite was! The restaurant was also excellent about setting up our tables and collecting all of the decorations to return them to us afterward. You also will not find a venue with more character for the value. Lightfoot has no room rental fees - only a minimum food and beverage minimum which is not difficult to reach.

Wonderful venue! Unique in character, fabulous food, professional staff and a very welcoming feeling. We had our ceremony in the Sheridan Room and then moved to the Piano Bar for a cocktail hour with fabulous food stations. Back to the Sheridan Room for wonderful dinner service and dancing after a quick and seamless transformation of the room. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for somewhere unique and full of ambiance for your wedding.

Having our wedding and reception at the Lightfoot was a wonderful and memorable experience. The food was absolutely fantastic and the staff were all extremely flexible and helpful.

We loved the look of this venue, overlooking the court house in Leesburg. The actual reception was great but the preplanning was a bit nerve wracking. The catering manager, Carrie, is not good about returning phone calls. I only actually got her on the phone once when I called, otherwise I had to leave messages. I had to track her down 9 days before the reception to order the cake, give her a guest number and go over the menu. She should have been calling me. On the day of the event it all came together. The cake was perfect, the room looked super and the all of my guests raved about the food. The actual waiter service was very good up until the coffee and none of the waiters helped with the cutting or serving of the cake.
