    Beautiful flowers on a budget

After checking out tons of florists online and in the LA suburbs area, my mom and I went to downtown to see what was in the flower district. We almost passed them up because she thought it was a bamboo & orchid florist only, but we went inside and spoke with their staff about doing a smaller (65 ppl) wedding in DTLA. It was about a mile away from our venue. We sat down and spoke with them and they took note of everything we wanted. I mentioned I wanted fall tones, Dark/black roses, and touches of bling, and they absolutely delivered! My bouquet, the boutonnieres, and centerpieces were absolutely beautiful.

It was a little scary to pay for something ahead of time without seeing what the final product would look like, but they did NOT disappoint. Everything was absolutely lovely.

We were searching the flower district in downtown LA but couldn’t find a florist we felt comfortable with until we stumbled upon Lucky Bamboo. My fiance was struck by a pink rose centerpiece and after a short time speaking with Sung we knew we had found our florist.

Sung helped us to figure out what we needed and offered us fair prices. She loaned us pedestals for the altar arrangements which she suggested we move to the sweetheart table after the ceremony. We had to change our wedding date and she was very responsible in calling us to check-in to make sure everything was on track. On our wedding day the flowers were beautiful and abundant. We would recommend Lucky Bamboo.

I interviewed a number of florists for my daughter's wedding. I chose Sung to do my daughter's wedding reception and church flowers. Sung designed the perfect wedding reception flowers. The vase matched my daughter's wedding dress color, It was perfect and beauitful. The church flowers were also beautiful. The flowers were delivered on time to the church and to the reception. The prices were well within our budget.

We got our centerpieces here and they were beautiful. The owner of the shop was willing to work with us on our budget and gave us amazing flowers.

We were looking for a florist that was able to work with our needs & to be able to deliver floral presentations that would knock anybody's socks off. Luck Bamboo & Flowers did just that. Thanks to Mrs. Kim, our floral displays were top notch. They were even able to pick up pedestal displays from another vendor we rented from & took them back as well! The ceremony aisle was lined with beautiful centerpiece displays and two awesome bamboo arrangements on the gazebo ceremony area (all of which were transferred to the reception area immediately after). The head table piece was elegant, and ALL of the bouquets, boutonnieres, and lower girl accessories were just precious! Mrs. Kim and Lucky Bamboo are located in the heart of the Flower District in Downtown Los Angeles, so you know they will give you a fair price. They will definitely work with you, and are able to make last minute changes if need be. Thank you Mrs. Kim! =)

Sung and her team are truly amazing! After about 3 consultations we were able to finalize and express our vision for the wedding. Everything was PERFECT! I was elated on my special day! My bouquet was so heavy due to so many roses---superb quality of roses with bling designs--Thank you!!!

I was slightly apprehensive when I first read the reviews for this shop in downtown. But it was so hard not to be amazed by the gorgeous work they do when walking past this little shop in downtown flower district. The owner Song is a very very talented artist. I ended up hiring them for my recent February wedding for all the reception and ceremony arrangements, as well as for the personal flowers and my bridal bouquet.

Here are my reasons for 5 stars:
    - exceptional work, I still get compliments for all the arrangements
    - very affordable, other shops would not want to work with my tight budget
    - they delivered everything from downtown to both: Pasadena and West Covina, CA and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg.
    - great customer service, they are honest and will give you alternative ideas to work with a really tight budget

They are very very easy to work with and I was one of those brides that really was hunting for something different yet romantic and had collected tons of pictures from magazines that I used as a reference. I made sure to ask the questions such as: Will these flowers still be in season by the time my wedding comes by? To avoid any headaches. I was in the clear.

I got the wedding of my dreams because of the amazing work this shop did. My bouquet was extraordinary, the reception was dazzling with deep anthuriums, my favorite cymbidium orchids, roses, tulips, and more.

I can't wait to have another event in which I can hire this shop again!

Lucky Bamboo is located in Downtown L.A. in the Flower Mart. Note, that you will DEFINITELY get better prices in this area than if you go to a florist where you live. The reason for this is that your florist, if they aren't already located in the Flower Mart, HAS to get their flowers from here. Therefore you are paying for the fact that they must travel to L.A. for the flowers too. Also, you are paying less because there are multiple florists competing in one area. It is slightly inconvienient to tavel into Downtown, but the savings on cost ends up being well worth it. The florists @ Lucky Bamboo can do whatever you want, the only problem for me is that there was quite a language barrier. If you have something specific in mind-bring a picture, this way you won't be let down. Everyone who works there has VERY THICK accents. If you, or someone you can bring, speaks Spanish, you will be fine because some of their florists speak Spanish. I'm not sure which language the owners speak, but they are from Asian decent-I don't want to assume exactly from what country? Everyone, however is SUPER nice & willing to help! I got many compliments on my flowers & when I told my closest girlfriends the cost they were blown away & thought I would have spent @ least $2,000.00 more!

Lucky Bamboo came very highly recommended. I decided to use them. First I made an appointment. When I showed up, they didn't have my appointment on record but they saw me anyway. I still ended up going with them. I chose to pick up the flower instead of having them delivered. I arrived on my wedding day and they were ready. I ordered 12 centerpiece balls, 1 bridal bouquet, 1 maid of honor bouquet, 2 other bouquets, 1 groom's bout, and 2 other bouts. The centerpieces looked fabulous, but the bouquets looked very cheap. I wanted lushness and richness. Plus they put these green berry things in my bouquet. It reminded me of Christmas. I was so disappointed. But I was in too much of a hurry to have them change it.

Should be a little bit knowledgeable regarding types of flowers / flower names & colors before going to the shop because there was a slight communication problem with their staff. In other words, not the best place to be educated. However, they are flexible and creative in coming up with alternatives to meet your budget. Loved the end result of potted mini orchids (a variety of pots to choose from, not just terra cotta). They were professional and I was able to book them a month before my wedding. I left everything up to them and consider it a good thing that I did not have to contact them the day of the wedding or post wedding.
