Is there a limit to the amount of music that can be requested?
We have over 100,000 songs in our music data base which you can preiview one our website. We permit brides to select 100 Songs per each category of "Must Play" and "Play If Possible". Every bride can select as many "Do Not Plays" as they wish. We adhere to your playlists. You can viisit our client area now and begin to build the sound track for your wedding day! This feature is available to all of our clients. You can actually plan your wedding itinerary right in the comfort of your own home prior to your final face to face meeting with your Dj.
What is your usual attire?
We prefer a black Tuxedo but will dress in a suite or other attire if you wish.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
We handle obtaining all of the music for our clients. If you can not locate it on our website music data base simply click on the "Custom Song" link and we will obtain it for you. If you locate a song on youtube that you like we posses the techology to play that song for you on your wedding day. The music and creativity for your introductions and special dances are endless!
How many other DJs do you work with?
Approximately 12 Disc Jockeys are staffed at Master Disc Jockey Entertainment, we have 1 full time office manager, one 2 videographers/video jockeys/photographers, and 1 string ensemble director for our live entertainment and ofcourse Lead DJ Brian D.!
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?

Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
Yes. With our state of the art equipment and knowledge in our industry and our vast music data base we usually can manage all diferent types of ethnic american events.
Can the client submit a do-not-play list?
We recommend that all clients submit a Do Not Play List. They may choose as many songs as they want. Actually at a rescent wedding we had a bride select 278 "Do Not Plays" and 23 "Must Plays".
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes. If you check out our facebook page you will see that MDJ Entertainment has an arsenal of sound equipment and customized setups to meet your every need.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?

How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
2 hours setup time and one 6' table. If uplighting 3 hrs. is prefered. Sometimes uplighting packages and personalized gobo packages may be setup the night before your event.
Do you have any extra space requirements?
10' x 10' space for normal sound systems, 8' x 8' with our bose sound systems and we require a floor plan prior to booking uplighting packages and light shows.
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events?
No. We think this is tacky. We are a classy top notch DJ company that specializes in wedding receptions and other high end formal affairs. Please visit our website and see for yourself.
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
Yes we emcee the event but how often we talk is based on how our clients complete our planning questionaire. You will learn about this during a consulation.
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing?
We will discuss this during a personal consultation. We do not like other companies to try and use our techniques for motivating the crowd.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
No. We usually do not leave the DJ booth or console to eat. We may leave briefly to use the restroom.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
We Use State of The Art Sound System and DJ Software that has auto play features. Songs are automatically mixed with no dead air.
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
We have been in business a very log time. Lead DJ Brian D. has never missed a wedding reception in close to 20 years. The company has many DJ's who are more than qualified if your assigned Dj become unavailable. We are also a proud member of the National Association of Mobile Entertainers which supplies us with an emergency call list. We also offer a money back guarantee.
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day?
Not If We Are Booked For A Wedding Reception.
What is your overtime rate?
$200.00 per hour
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
Yes. It is determined by our "Quaote Generator" whick is located on our website.
What is the required deposit to secure your services?
30% of the total cost of your package. Due to the high demand we require a 50% deposit on all of our Photo Booths.

DJ Alex from MDJ provided the music for our cocktail hour and reception. Overall, Alex did a very good job the day of the wedding, but there were some communication issues. One problem with MDJ is their reliance on their website as the primary mode of communication. We spoke with Alex on the phone once before the wedding so that he could explain how to use the website to set up our playlist and DJ instructions. After finishing with the website I reached out to Alex to speak by phone again so I could explain our instructions, since we had some non-traditional elements and the order of events could be tricky. However, Alex was busy and emphasized that using the website would be enough. Unfortunately, Alex had somehow never received the latest instructions we had submitted. As a result, there were some issues, including: confusion about when speeches/toasts would occur, confusion about the timing of our first dance, songs were played that we had put on our do-not-play list, etc. Having to manage these issues as they happened provided a bit of a distraction during our wedding day, though Alex was responsive and adapted well so that they were not too noticeable to our guests.

All in all, Alex still did a good job the day of, which is why we still left him a good tip and are leaving a generally good review. Alex did a good job with the music for the cocktail hour and dinner. He was also a great reader of the crowd who kept the guests on the dance floor all night, which was ultimately most important to us. Even the songs he played that were on our do-not-play list ended up actually being a hit with the guests, so we're not too peeved by those mistakes. However, we want to emphasize to any couples: Do not rely on the website to communicate with the DJ! We're not sure if our issues were due to technical or human error, but in any case you should make sure to confirm your instructions over the phone or in person. The online form submission system is unreliable.

The week leading up to the wedding day our service provider that manages our online tools had issues with their servers. This was the first time we have ever had a problem in approximately 10 years. They have assured us that they have corrected the problem and upgraded all of there servers and back up systems to make sure this does not happen again. When any bride or groom save their playlist or wedding itinerary their DJ automatically receives an automated updated email indicating which changes are made. Since this incident the system has been consistent and is up and running. It is always a good idea to print out a hard copy of your work as a back up to have of your play list, must play and do not play list. I am glad Alex was able to speak with you and make the necessary changes on your wedding day.

I used MDJ Entertainment for my ceremony music, reception, lighting and photo booth. Brian was my DJ, he brought with him a photo booth coordinator who was also named Brian, and DJ AJ who snapped photos and video through out the night. They were all absolutely AMAZING. The guys had just the best attitudes and felt like they were one of our family friends by the end of the night. My guests were on the dance floor all night! I wanted a dance party and that is what I got. I had people asking for their information and cards before the night was half way over.

Jackie helped me via email and phone calls all throughout the planning process , answering questions and providing me with any song information I needed. She was great!

The photo booth was so much fun! They did a great job setting it up. I truly cannot say enough good things about them. There are on line options to create your music playlist, itinerary and include any special requests/notes. Which i set up gradually over several months. I will recommend them to anyone looking for dj services! Great package deals and The price for what we got was absolutely great as well.
