Kyle Sent on 07/14/2014My husband and I were married in Massachusetts, but wanted to celebrate with our friends in Phoenix as well. While searching for a venue, I found MonOrchid on Yelp and assumed they were way beyond my price range (I had visited once during First Fridays and LOVED the space.) I emailed for pricing information and quickly heard back from Stefanie with details. I was surprised that MonOrchid was a few hundred to a few thousand dollars cheaper than other downtown Phoenix venues. Stefanie told me that we could use our own caterers and alcohol, as long as we hired a professional bartender. If you've hosted an event, you know this is a savings of another couple thousand dollars.
Stefanie was great at helping us decide on a layout for our event. She made suggestions and allowed us to visit on several occasions. She was especially helpful in contacting our vendors to confirm details. On the night of the event, Stefanie even lent a hand in putting a nice cheese tray together while I was busy. She found a perfect balance in being friendly with our guests and not being distracting.
Parking isn't perfect at MonOrchid, but there is plenty on 2nd & Roosevelt.
This is a great, unique space that could be used for any kind of event. -

Michelle Sent on 09/11/2016Such a beautiful and unique venue! I just want to say, our day of coordinator Krissy was absolutely amazing. She was quick to respond to every question, she was so caring for my husband and I. I seriously cannot thank Krissy enough. Anytime I felt lost in my vision, she seriously helped me out a lot.
This venue was so amazing and accommodated our guest count well. I could not be more happier with our decision to have both our ceremony and reception there.
Also quick shoutout to The Dressing Room for catering. OMG YUM! I love how the monOrchid was a one and done place, they had everything you needed, Venue, catering, the works. Our food was amazing and every table we walked to we saw the plates were wiped clean.
Thank you monOrchid team for making our night absolutely wonderful. I'm seriously, so sooo grateful for everything. -

Meghan Sent on 12/13/2015Our experience with MonOrchid was INCREDIBLE! Our original venue had been shut down 8 weeks before our wedding date and we were searching high and low for an industrial vibe for our wedding so we didn't need to change everything. We didn't even know MonOrchid existed but once we found it, we were wishing we would have chosen this venue right off the bat.
Kyu and Krissy were SO accommodating to the plans we had already made and even offered up some of their own ideas to turn our large wedding into something that would work inside of their space. Both were very responsive to my ridiculous amount of calls, texts, and emails, they allowed us to stop in to test out some of our ideas for decor, and they were always willing to just sit and brainstorm over a delicious cup of coffee in their coffee shop! They even humored my husbands crazy desire to have a beer burro outside during the cocktail hour!
They even offer catering by the one and only Chef Kevin Lebron who was nothing short of amazing. People always say, "as a bride or groom, you never get to eat at your own wedding". Well I made it a point to get my hands on some of his food because it is to die for.
Everything came together so well thanks to the staff at MonOrchid. It's impossible for a wedding to be perfect but they handled any and every little hiccup better than we could have imagined. I've already recommended this venue to 2 friends that will be getting married in the future. Not to mention to a few clients looking for a venue to hold their corporate events. The building is a blank slate that you can let your imagination run wild and create your perfect day! -

Andy Sent on 01/21/2015Looking back at our wedding, I couldn't imagine having a more perfect venue! Set just north of downtown Phoenix near 3rd Street and Roosevelt, the MonOrchid is in a great Urban location with easy access for guests from the interstate or from downtown hotels.
The MonOrchid has several different galleries and spaces to help accommodate your vision. First, the large gallery with a beautiful floor to ceiling white wall to create a stunning focal point and serve as the perfect place for your dance floor. Beautiful exposed wood beams add to the industrial feeling of the space. The one somewhat "gamble" with the MonOrchid is not knowing what the specific art installment will be until the month of the event.
From the Main Gallery there is a large roll-up garage door for guests to exit outside and use the outdoor aspect of the venue. When you initially look at this space, I agree that it doesn't look super promising. However, with some patio furniture, some uplighting, and some cocktail tables our outdoor area became one of our favorite areas! A smaller back gallery is also available for smaller events or for additional space during the cocktail hour.
One of the greatest aspects about the MonOrchid for our event was the fact that there was no restriction on Vendors. While there is a preferred vendors list with some great options, it allows you to truly customize your event to exactly what YOU want it to be!
Ashton was a pleasure to work with throughout the whole process from touring the space, ironing out details, providing us contact information for vendors, and helping out the day of. -
User2871792 Sent on 11/19/2016The Monorchid is a great place to have a wedding if you are looking for a venue with open floor plan and lots of character. This complemented our urban wedding so amazingly. The individual in charge was good to work with, and was flexible with meeting times.
