The best venue around!

We chose this venue initially because it was a summer wedding and no where else had a plan B for rain, but OaW does... and it is wonderful. Some other awesome features included wonderful catering that my guest still rave about, a starlit tent that fit perfectly with our theme, and a list of vendors that knew exactly what to do to make the day perfect for us.

Beautiful venue

I can’t say enough good things about Andrew and his staff. They took care of most everything, and did a great job!!!! The venue was beautiful, food delicious, and our only job was to show up!!! I highly recommend!!!

Unique & Beautiful

Not only was this venue great for our budget, it was beautiful as well. It checked all of our major boxes and then some. On the wedding day our venue coordinator could not be there, so that is really the only downside to our wedding day plans that had been made. Other than that the food, grounds, reception hall, and home were just perfect. I would highly recommend this venue!

Perfect Day

Andrew and his team will follow your instructions if you want, but I recommend hiring Kim Clark (day-of-coordinator and she works with his venue a lot) and letting the professionals handle your decorating decisions! She went above and beyond and we didn't have to worry about anything, on my wedding day, that was truly priceless. The venue is beautiful, always professionally maintained, and me and my entire family could be "hands off" with the wonderful its wonderful team. The food is incredible, we did the prime rib carving station and dijon chicken, macaroni and cheese, green beans, and garden salad. Everyone gave rave reviews, and although my husband and I did get to enjoy it at the wedding, I remember the to-go plates they had packed and put in our getaway vehicle (yes they did this without us asking) even better. People aren't kidding, your wedding is a whirlwind! We were able to thoroughly enjoy our food and cake the next day. We also had a wine and beer open bar (which they provide bartender at no additional charge). They also take care of cutting and serving your cake, you can pick whoever you want to make your cake, but the food and alcohol service is required with the venue. Brittani Leigh Cakes was incredible, and Angel Ruff Photography documented our day perfectly! If you want to be able to enjoy your wedding day without having to worry about a thing, look no further.

Amazing!

We wanted a beautiful venue, but not a lot of set up for us and our family. Occasions did very thing for us down to packing us up food take with us. It was a beautiful wedding with amazing food and we had an absolute blast. I would recommend Andrew and Occasions to anyone planning a wedding.

Amazing venue!

Andrew and team are fantastic to work with! They are knowledgeable, kind and make planning a wedding a breeze.They take care of everything on the wedding day as well, so you can enjoy the time with family and not stress about getting the venue ready!

Mr. Andrew and his staff are absolutely amazing. For starters the venue is gorgeous. Simply breath taking. Its very clean and the views are a perfect setting for pictures. Mr. Andrew is so easy to work with. He is very helpful and goes above and beyond. During our reception his staff was so attentive. They are polite and stayed on top of making sure our guests were taken care of. The food was delicious. I have never been to a wedding with better food. I just cant say enough great things about this venue. I would definitely hold another event here and most definitely recommend this venue to any future bride and grooms. You definitely get your moneys worth and plenty more!

Occasions at Wedgefield was a gorgeous venue for our daughter's wedding reception. Andrew was great to work with and the food was excellent! Our guests couldn't stop talking about the food, especially the shrimp and grits. Andrew and his staff were well prepared for everything, and my husband and I were able to enjoy the festivities like we were two of the guests. I highly recommend Andrew and Occasions at Wedgefield.

I cannot say enough great things about OAW!!! Our wedding was perfect and we are so excited that we chose OAW to host our wedding. Andrew is great to work with and really led us through so many steps. Our Director - Kim Clark- was a Godsend. She is amazing and went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Our DJ - Scottie Pilgrim was fantastic, lots of fun and everyone had a blast. The food was DELICIOUS (provided by OAW Boulevard Catering) - best wedding food I have ever had. This venue is beautiful and it is a great value for what all you get with the package. I would recommend OAW without reservation to host your wedding or any other event.

This place is absolutely amazing. They offer so much help to anyone who books with them, including lists of recommended vendors and wedding planners who know everything about the venue. The price is worth it for everything that is included. They even have a plan B for inclement weather, which is great for the bride who wants an outdoor wedding without the stress of rain. I knew it was the perfect place for my wedding when one visit changed my entire vision. They are very willing to work with you and are flexible when it comes to payments, decorations, and so much more. I could not imagine a better place for my wedding.

I cannot say enough good things about Andrew! My daughters wedding was June 18, 2016 and from the moment we met him at a Bridal Expo he did nothing but go out of his way to make sure her day was perfect! The venue was beautiful, the food was excellent and the staff was very attentive and accommodating. Every vendor Andrew recommended were wonderful from the florist, DJ and cake. Andrew and his staff exceeded my expectations. If you want to have a beautiful, stress free wedding, let Andrew take care of it, you will not be disappointed. Everything was perfect!!

Occasions is hands down the best venue and staff I have ever worked with. They turned my wedding into a fairytale without any stress on my part. Andrew and Kim are wonderful people that I can’t praise enough. They took every vision I had and brought it to life. If something I wanted wasn’t there then they made a way for it to happen. The food was absolutely amazing (because that’s a high priority, obviously)! :) Kim’s calligraphy is also to die for. I can’t say enough wonderful things about occasions, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to get married or having and event there!

My wedding reception was held at Occasions on June 18, 2016. It was WONDERFUL. Andrew took care of every concern I had and was extremely flexible and helpful with any suggestions or questions! The day of the reception, the place looked beautiful. It was clean, organized, and set up to perfection. Andrew helped us by decorating everything the day before once we brought in our little extras. I loved the lighting around the room, the way the tables were set up, how everything was situated. And the staff couldn't have been friendlier! They were right there anytime you needed something, quick to pick up dirty dishes without making you feel rushed with eating. I enjoyed every single minute, and my only regret is wishing it could have lasted longer!

Andrew Merritt is wonderful! He listens well and adjusts to how you want your day. He is organized and accommodating. The location is a bit secluded in Central, SC. The building is full of windows that make you feel outside. They put on a Reception for future clients and treat you like it is your wedding day. Their food is delicious (seriously, I cannot wait to try everything the chef makes for my wedding day) and everyone is extremely helpful. I cannot imagine having our reception anywhere else!

I cannot say enough about Andrew Merrit and his staff. They are a dream to work with, their service is spot on, the venue is stunning, and the food is something I am still thinking about. My wedding was perfect from start to finish. I was supposed to have it outdoors, that morning it was raining and I proceeded to go into bridal meltdown...Andrew assured me that it would be even better bc he always has a Plan. He was right and then some.....it was even better than I dreamed it could be. I cant thank him enough for making my day so special.

I just booked this venue as the venue for my wedding and I absolutely love it! It is exactly what me and my fiance could have ever wanted for the place we are going to get married at! The service there is wonderful and so far Cynthia has done so much to help us! We can't wait to start our lives together at this lovely venue!

Cynthia Phillips is a God send! She is the most wonderful lady and wedding planner. Cynthia and her husband Dan, created the most awesome and perfect wedding day for my husband and me. The staff at Occasions at Wedgefield is professional, courteous, and ever so accommodating. The food for our reception was superb. Our guests made many comments about the taste and quality of the food. Andy and I cannot rave enough over how magnificent our wedding was.

Occasions at Wedgefield should be the first and last call you make to ensure a magical, (mostly) stress free wedding day!

Occasions is such a gorgeous venue year round. Cynthia and the gang made our very long planning process so simple and relaxing.
The staff was so professional and kind. It was all perfectly manicured and everything was ready to go the day before to avoid any issues.

Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful. My wedding was wonderful because of Cynthia at Occasions and her staff. Everything went smoothly and turned out to be way more than I had envisioned. Thank you so much Cynthia for everything you did for my wedding. I had an outdoor wedding and the weather was beautiful the food was amazing and the staff was very helpful. Cynthia made planning so easy. Everything went so smoothly from start to finish. I really didn't have to worry about anything, she did it all, from the food, to table linens, to decorations & planning of the ceremony. The only planning I did was find a dress, cake & flowers. (But Cynthia has recommendations for all those so it was easy to pick one).The food was great! Her beautiful old house and Olivia's Garden were breathtaking. The pavilion where our reception took place was perfect. Many of our guests commented on how good the food was and how comfortable they were. We had a wonderful DJ that Cynthia recommended who knew how to set a mood and get people smiling, dancing, and crying =) I highly recommend Occasions at Wedgefield!

Cynthia is spectacular. Occasions is such a beautiful venue. Cynthia did an amazing job of decorating the reception area. I can't put into workds how fabulous she is. She makes both the bride and groom feel like they are the most important people in the world.
