The food is delicious, the staff is very helpful in making your day run smoothly, and the view of the bay and sunset are magnificent.

Thank you to Chris and Bill for making our day great. We had a cocktail style reception and it was perfect. The food delicious! We had about 190 guests and everyone had a wonderful time. The venue is absolutely breathtaking, and the sunsets on the bay cannot be beat. For our guests who are not dancers the deck/dock was a great option for them to sit and relax. We recommend OCYC to anyone looking for an awesome venue down the shore!

I can't rave enough about how much we loved our wedding on 9/12/14 at the OCYC! We wanted a venue that wasn't a "wedding factory". The OCYC was very accommodating to all our requests. Bill and Chris are very knowledgeable and were available by email/phone at all times- I don't know how many brides they deal with a day, but I felt like I was the only one! It was recently updated and the decor is nautical, without being too much. The space doesn't need much else because it's so beautiful as is. A huge plus is being able to use the dock outside, where we took some of the most amazing sunset pictures!! The food was SPECTACULAR. We had Filet and Crab Cakes- my husband says the filet from our wedding "ruined" steaks for him since nothing can compare! I enjoyed the vegetarian meal and appreciated that it wasn't pasta with red sauce or something thrown together with leftover ingredients. Bill absolutely knows what he is doing and I don't have a single complaint about the food! We had 100 people and it felt like a good amount to me, although I know there are other rooms available to use for more people. We used the cake lady, Mary Lou, recommended by Bill and it made that aspect much simpler (and delicious!). I would love to attend another wedding here as a guest!

The Ocean City Yacht Club is a quaint place with a lot of character, the bay view is phenomenal! I had 110 people and the venue was perfect. The wedding managers were available by phone and email, they usually responded the same day to any questions I had. I was married on the dance floor (beautiful bay view) and there was no interruption in service. The food presentation was delightful and the staff are top notch. This venue is local and the staff and service is prided on that...

Bill (head chef) and Chris (wedding coordinator) are a pleasure to work with. They were extremely helpful and supportive during the entire planning process, with timely and thoughtful responses to my frequent emails and calls. They allowed us to customize the menu a little (we did "cocktail style" and adding a grilled mahi mahi taco station). They were accommodating to my special requests and large wedding (200 people). The venue is absolutely beautiful and they set up the cocktail hour so that all my guests got to enjoy the beautiful views. Overall, great people to work with, a beautiful venue, and great food all made for an awesome wedding!

This was the perfect venue for my beach wedding reception. Bill and Chris were very responsive and helpful. Bill even ran my rehearsal. The venue is gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the service was great. The was one problem with the seating. Some seating cards were missing and a couple tables did not have the right number of seats and settings when the guests arrived. It was a little stressful and annoying, but the problem was quickly fixed. The venue itself is different from your typical reception hall. With the high ceilings and glass windows looking out on the bay, the room feels large. It's unique and beautiful.

Wow. I really wanted to like this place the experience was ruined by interactions with the head chef and maitre de both of which were generally unhelpful and the head chef was plain rude and appeared to have a chip on his shoulder. Unfortunately the layout of the venue wasn't suitable for a wedding reception either as there is not enough room to separate a cocktail hour from the dining room. As a result some guests were seated at their dining tables while others were cramped into a tight separate bar-room area. Lastly the food was comparable to a Boston Market. Our dinner consisted of salty and and powdery mashed potatoes, a few strands of string beans, a slice of carrot, and an uninspired piece of breaded chicken.

My wedding was in Sept 2013.
I first looked and signed a contract at OCYC in Sept 2012 (before Hurricane Sandy). After the Hurricane hit, the OCYC needed to be completely redone. Unfortunately this meant that the entire place changed. Most of the venue was done nicely except for the horrible chairs that were in a crimson red color. When we spoke with the banquet manger-Bill about the chairs he simply stated that we could purchase the chair covers from him, but had no other option.
We met with Bill several weeks before the wedding to go over all the options and have our tasting.
    The tasting went very well.
The day before the wedding we brought all the supplies to OCYC including are wedding favors (Johnson's Popcorn). I explained that I wanted to have the favors brought to the tables after the cake was served and was told that I was not allowed to have them brought out because it might damage the carpet if people dropped popcorn on the carpet.
The actual wedding seemed to be going well. Then the salad was served. There is only 2 salads to choose from (spring mix or caesar), we choose ceasar. And to my surprise the sprig mix was served.
Next was the main entrée. I had the grouper which was completely over cooked-different from the tasting. So now I have had virtually noting to eat since 8 AM on my wedding day.
And to top it off, OCYC never put out the wedding favors as promised, as we went home with 300$ worth of caramel popcorn.
Please note that the banquet manager is in charge of virtually everything and will try to nickel and dime you for everything you ask for.
We choose the OCYC based on the location. I have since regretted the money that was spent on OCYC and wished we went to CAPE MAY!
