    Onederland Events is an absolute Godsend

    I cannot even begin to express how grateful i am to have had the privilege of working with Onederland Events for our destination wedding in Cabo. From our very first meeting to the last dance of the night, she was an absolute rockstar, ensuring that our wedding week was nothing short of perfection.
    Planning a destination wedding is no small feat, and Cabo and our hotel posed its own set of challenges. However, Michelle fearlessly took on every obstacle that came our way with grace, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. One of the most important factors for us was being able to truly enjoy our wedding week without being bogged down by the nitty-gritty details. Michelle understood this perfectly and went above and beyond to ensure that every minute aspect was taken care of. From coordinating with vendors to handling last-minute changes, she handled everything with finesse, leaving us with the freedom to soak in every moment of our special week.

    Magical Planning, Magical Result

    My wife & I initially chose Michelle because she had some experience planning a wedding similar in style to ours - so we chatted with her and several other planners - and almost instantly when talking to Michelle knew she had her stuff together.

    Michelle helped us set up venue tours, compile potential catering options & equipment rental suggestions - then once we had our spot picked she flew up from Los Angeles to the San Francisco Bay Area, having curated a special day where we’d do our tasting with our caterer, an on site review of our venue with all parties involved, etc. It was perfect. As we dropped her off at airport that night, we thought, “this is going to be perfect.” And it was planned perfectly.

    Then the pandemic hit.

    Michelle calmed us down, helped us get our deposits back, and managed the relationships with the vendors we had worked so hard to choose. Time went on, knowing that we’d have to wait for it to be safe for some of our family members to fly cross county before we could try again.

    We called her excited one day about an idea we had - a micro wedding, very intimate, in Joshua Tree. I know she was thinking “you’re crazy, it’ll be 110 degrees, who are you going to get to cater for you, etc…” but she matched our level of excitement and told us “we’re going to make it happen.”

    And she did. She did make it happen. She worked with some of our original vendors, including the caterer we fell in love with, and they all drove out to Joshua Tree. I don’t use this word much but it was truly magical. Michelle actually officiated our wedding beautifully, and what was supposed to be a normal wedding took THREE YEARS of planning and unplanning and planning and… if that isn’t professionalism and really going the extra hundred miles for your client, I don’t know what is.

    Michelle was the best wedding planner we could have asked for. 11/10 - more of a life coach and a friend now.

    Michelle is so awesome, and top notch! We didn't realize how important having a wedding planner could be until we met with her. She made it so that we could enjoy the process of planning, and have the perfect wedding. On the Big Day Michelle and her assistant took care of everything so we didn't have to worry about vendors or guests. Michelle has an amazing personality, and tons of experience planning weddings and events. We're so happy we found her. We'll definitely work with her again! Can't wait :)

    After Michelle planned our event, we decided that we want her to plan everything else in our lives! From the very beginning, we felt like we had a team that was committed to every single detail and providing us with the vision we had in mind. Midway through planning, I requested a complete theme shift and she handled it with grace. She found hard to find vendors, identified new ones as needed, and kept me abreast of everything going on without making me feel overwhelmed with details. Michelle also had the unenviable task of dealing with many difficult personalities, including a family member who wanted to be the planner herself. By the time it was all said and done, she had turned a doubter into a believer! I strongly recommend that you hire Michelle to plan your wedding, baby shower, vow renewal, ANYTHING you want to be special and beautiful.

    Working with Michelle was one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding celebration. As someone planning a more low-key celebration, I was initially hesitant about hiring a planner. Michelle demonstrated right away that should was worth every single penny. She is organized, diligent, responsive and on top of it, a very warm, kind person (I challenge you not to want to be her friend after working with her). Thanks to Michelle, everything went beyond smooth at our event, and best of all, our faith in her allowed us to be fully present to enjoy our celebration. She truly went above and beyond, handling details I had not considered (like storing gifts) and I'm sure many other logistics that I'll never know about. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She truly is the best.

    We hired a day-of coordinator hoping we'd get freedom from the stress we'd felt during the planning process, and Onederland delivered in a big way. Our coordinator was Michelle Newson, and after a couple hour-long meetings, she made us feel so calm and confident that we were able to go through the ceremony and reception with total presence, really absorbing every moment. I think the photos reflect this calmness.

    Whenever I started to worry about any of the logistics—Did the beer delivery arrive? Did the lights get hung in the venue?—I stopped myself, knowing that someone very capable would be addressing anything amiss. Michelle did an amazing job of keeping our more unpredictable vendors in line, putting her foot down a couple times to make sure that we didn't have to. I love how well she executed the vision we'd laid out, and how little we had to think about it.

    Onederland events managed my Fall 2016 wedding at Akwaaba Mansion. We chose the package which includes day-of wedding execution and planning for 30days pre-wedding. The Onerderland team exceeded my expectations of wedding planning and execution. The team made me feel confident and assured me that every details was in their hands. I would refer them to anyone.

    Michelle is amazing! She helped work with my budget and she also helped to work out a flexible payment schedule. The day of the wedding was beyond insane. She helped to keep everything under control and also helped me to maintain a piece of mind. The Maitre D' provided by the venue left before the wedding started so without her the wedding would have been a complete disaster. Book her!!!

    To say Michelle and her team saved both our wedding and our sanity is an understatement. We hired Onederland Events about a month before our wedding because we had heard rumblings that there may be issues with our wedding venue. Without hesitation, Michelle and her team immediately started looking into new venues in addition to continually contacting our current venue to ensure everything would be delivered as promised. When we found out that our venue was indeed closing - one week before our wedding, Michelle served as our planner and therapist. She helped us find a new venue, met with the new venue to ensure our vision could be made a reality, and made sure all of our other vendors knew about the new plan. She also kept us laughing the whole way.

    After all of the stress we had endured, Ine, Pilar, and Jenny were there on the day of the wedding to make sure we had zero to think about besides each other, our friends, and our family. They coordinated everything to perfection and we had a better wedding than we could have ever dreamed of.

    It took a team to make the best day of our lives happen and Onederland Events was there every step of the way. Thank you!

    This company is a serious lifesaver, I cannot stress that enough. First off, I never imagined having a wedding - Michelle spearheaded the planning in the most budget friendly way possible and welcoming DIY ideas. Two weeks before the wedding, we had a sudden change of number of guests - where now we had to find a new venue that allowed our own catering since we already signed contracts with food vendors. She went into action and found several locations that were within our budget. And speaking of vendors, I had no idea how difficult they could be after signing contracts with them - Michelle not only ameliorated the stress of managing vendors and the new space but she was a great person to talk to when things got emotional for me. On the day of the wedding, she was an absolute right hand woman. She was very diligent about our timeline and with her orchestration my wedding ran very smoothly - even my girlfriends complemented me on my wedding planner. I highly recommend Onderland Events!!

    Michelle was fantastic throughout the whole process. She held our hand as Jenn and I really had no idea how to put this wedding together. She guided us with an on point timeline and breakdown of what things needed to get done and by when with cost breakdown too. Communication with her was great as well as keeping vendors/venue updated on any changes that we may have needed. She'll get tough on venue's too when she needs too which was great!! Lol, all while having smile on her face! Day of the wedding she even helped us load our cars with gifts that he had gotten, props etc.. I can really go on and on about how great she was but this review would be really long! I'll say that we couldn't have done it without her! You hear stories about how people get stressed leading up to their wedding and I can honestly say that with her help, we did not feel the "stress" of making sure everything went well. I'd reccomend Michelle to any one, she'll make it happen for you!

    My wife and I chose Onederland Events to help plan our wedding, a medium-sized affair at a bed and breakfast in Brooklyn. Michelle Newson and her team helped us execute our vision perfectly. We wanted a non-traditional flair and the atmosphere of a party so that we could have intimate interactions with our guest. Michelle counseled us every step of the way, met with us when we chose our rentals, recommended an excellent florist who brought the rustic touches we wanted, and coordinated expertly with all of our vendors to lighten the load. On the day of the event, she and her team were like a well-oiled machine who made sure everything went off on time and without a hitch. She respected our wishes but also kept the band moving. Onederland is great at what it does.

    Michelle is a dream wedding planner that anyone would be lucky to have! We are a New Zealand couple who eloped to New York in September 2014 and hired Onederland Events to plan the day two months beforehand. After being treated very poorly by a different company Michelle swooped in like Superwoman and saved us. She and her lovely assistant Sydney were on top of everything right from the word go. We had frequent skype dates and emails to look after us before we left New Zealand and once we landed in New York we met the team in person to confirm those final details. Not only on the wedding day but for the entire wedding week we felt taken care of by this amazing duo. We highly recommend Michelle to anyone getting married – it was one of the best decisions we have ever made. She made our day run perfectly!

    The best decision I’ve ever made, aside from marrying my husband was booking Onederland Events to plan my wedding. Our wedding was everything that we could’ve imagined thanks to Michelle and her Onederland Events staff team. We booked the jump-start/ partial plan and felt that we were fully supported from the day that we met. Michelle and her team were able to manage all of our last minute wishes with ease. She was able to ensure that we did not have to worry about anything the day of the wedding—and everything ran smoothly!

    The Onderland Staff are equal mix of professional and personable, and have made the entire planning experience a breeze! The team was able to deal with our family, vendors and whims with such patience… that I cannot thank Onederland Events enough!

    I highly suggest that you use Onederland Events for all of your event planning needs!

    My husband and I were married at Ladies Pavilion on Friday 9th November. Michelle was absolutely fantastic. She came to meet us a few days prior to the big day, we were faced with closures in Central Park and a snow blizzard. But nothing wiped the smile and cheery nature from Michelle. She was so great and we were filled with reassurance after our first meeting.
    Our wedding day went without a hitch. It was the most glorious sunshiny day and we couldn't have asked for anything more.

    Michelle was really, really friendly as well as professional and put us both completely at ease about our wedding. Everything was well organised and nothing was too much trouble right through to flagging a taxi down for the journey to our reception venue. We would certainly recommend Michelle to any of our friends.

    Michelle was on hand to make our special day run very smoothly. The meeting 24 hours before was very helpful for us to understand the timings of delivery of flowers, wedding car etc. which were all super efficient and totally on time. Everything ran like clockwork and the possible stresses and strains of a wedding day were all removed by having Michelle on hand. Thank you so much!
