I had my wedding at Painted Pony on October 19, 2019. Mrs. Cheryl, Mr. Lee, and Kaleh are all so so helpful through the entire planning process including set up the day of. They definitely take into account what you’re envisioning for your big day and will help make your dream come true! Absolutely gorgeous property and so many beautiful places to have pictures taken. I could not imagine having my wedding any where else. You’ll definitely regret not having your big day at Painted Pony Vineyards!!! Also, did I mention the animals?!?!! -

My husband and I got married at painted pony vineyard and could not be happier. The owners of the venue are amazing people and truly made our wedding beautiful. The faculty was clean, gorgeous, and very spacious. All my guest had so much fun and are still talking about how beautiful the whole property was. We highly recommend this venue for any special occasion and you will not be disappointed at all. The venue will always hold a special place in my husband and mines heart forever. -

Candice Sent on 03/26/2018Not only is this venue absolutely breathtakingly beautiful but the owners, Lee and Cheryl Carter, were so helpful and accommodating. Cheryl and Lee assisted me and my family in the decorating of the venue for my wedding and reception and was gracious enough to allow us to use some of their beautiful decor for the event. Ms Cheryl was consistent with keeping in contact with me during the planning process and was happy to answer any questions that I had. Unfortunately it rained the day of my wedding and I was unable to use the outside chapel but Cheryl came up with a great idea of having my wedding party stand on the stair case during my ceremony and everything looked beautiful. The Painted Pony is a great choice for a wedding❤️

Trey Sent on 04/02/2018Can’t recommend this venue enough. Although I wasn’t married here, I have worked with the owners multiple times and interacted with those getting married at this venue. It is a one of a kind location. Definitely recommend Painted Pony Vineyards!

Bailey Sent on 10/03/2017I had my wedding here this past weekend, and everything turned out more beautiful than I could every imagined. This venue has something different that nowhere around has. Would highly recommend!!

User2744713 Sent on 08/27/2016I got to sing at my sister's wedding here. What an enchanting place! The horse drawn carriage and vintage car were big hits! But the atmosphere was the best. The space is so natural with amazing potential.

User2742452 Sent on 08/25/2016I was a soloist for my best friends wedding held at Painted Pony vineyards. The vineyard is a beautiful wooded, well groomed area boasting a gorgeous outdoor stone fireplace and patio, which was perfect for dancing. My friend and her husband decided on an elegant outdoor wedding with tables nestled among the trees with beautiful lighting. This venue is an excellent choice for an outdoor wedding. The horses grazing in the pasture, the Vineyard growing in the background, and the tall Pines made this a very beautiful venue for my friend.

Perfect setting for an outdoor wedding with a rustic reception hall. The entire place was absolutely beautiful and the staff is incredible as well; they’re super sweet and extremely helpful.Painted Pony Vineyards's reply:

I had my wedding at this venue recently and while the venue itself is very pretty the professionalism of the owners is the reason for my one star review. When booking this venue initially I only dealt with the venue manager (at the time) and she was wonderful! The entire process of planning my wedding was quite smooth and easy until approximately one month before my wedding. An additionally event space, which was offered as an option to upgrade to when I booked the venue initially, was being finished and there was an open house. At the open house I decided that with the increasing cases of COVID I would pay the difference and upgrade my wedding to the outdoor venue vs the smaller indoor venue I had booked. The first issue I encountered was a disagreement about items not being finished in the venue in time for the wedding and both myself and the manager were met with rudeness and unnecessary controversy. After working through this initial issue, the owner did apologize and offered temporary solutions for the issues. This was fine with me and I thought all our problems were over, I was wrong. The day of my wedding arrived and that morning, the manager found out the assistant she was promised was told she could not help with my wedding and the chairs and tables had not been set up as planned. After the manager worked tirelessly all day to make my wedding perfect, the time for the reception came. As agreed to in the contract, I was happy to pay for dinner for the manger who worked ALONE for my entire wedding to make it perfect. Little did I know, the owners, who live on site at the venue, came over to the kitchen during dinner service and requested three dinner plates to go from my caterer to carry home to eat. When paying $48+ per plate of food, I felt this was very unprofessional when they were not vendors who were actively helping with my wedding and I had already paid a good amount of money to rent the area for my use from them. It was even more disrespectful that they came to get plates before my guests had been fed and I had a final head count determined with my caterer three weeks prior to the event which did not, and should not have, included them. During dinner, multiple of my bridesmaids returned to the bridal suite (which is located directly under the owners residence) to change shoes and retrieve their phones as we left our valuables in the suite as we were told it would be secure and only used by us. All of my bridesmaids came back to tell me that one of the owners (a male) was found sitting INSIDE the bridal suite eating food from my wedding. This made all of my bridesmaids feel VERY uncomfortable, especially since he was a male inside a female area designated for changing. My husband also found out that the cabin area used for the groomsmen to get dressed in was opened and guests were walked around the area for a “tour.” As well as my bridesmaids, the groomsmen’s valuables and personal items were secured in the cabin and both areas were included in the rental of the property and should not have been accessed without our permission. The owners also proceeded to wander in and out of my reception all night sitting in guests seats and helping themselves to multiple pieces of cake. After the wedding was over multiple member of our wedding party stayed to help the manager clean and break down the tables and chairs for the event. A few weeks after my wedding, I found out that the owners withheld the managers payment for my wedding and deducted an amount from her check for a discount she gave me for booking my event on a typically undesirable date, even though that discount had been approved when my initial contract was signed. Needless to say, the manager who was so wonderful to me during the wedding is no longer employed with this venue.
I will not tell you the venue isn’t beautiful, because it is. However, the sheer unprofessionalism of the owners that I experienced has made me tell anyone who asked about my experience to RUN and chose another venue. All of these issues tarnished the memories of my special day.
