    Our wedding and reception were held at Potawatomi on a cold but gorgeously sunny day in March. The space for both our events let the sun pour in through the big floor to ceiling windows which displayed all of our little details and the fun, modern event space.
    Preparations for our event began last August when we came to the venue and met with our event coordinator and knew that the new hotel reception area was the place for our wedding. Our coordinator was a tremendous help for every detail. From beginning stages to final details she helped us get everything just right. The staff at Potawatomi are amazing from banquet staff to bell hops. I can't say enough for how helpful and friendly everyone was. Guests at our reception have told us that they had an amazing time and also that they loved the food. The catering staff were so accommodating for our special requests- which included requests such as serving appetizer platters and desert trays to having a special after dinner tea service; everything we asked about was looked into and they tried to accommodate us at every turn. We felt special and very well taken care of- we knew that we were in good hands. One of the things that helped reduce our stress was being able to bring things over to the venue a few days before- knowing that our event coordinator and the staff would set everything up and we wouldn't need to worry about it. This included things like the card box, place settings, the guest book, etc- It was so nice to only worry about our personal preparations before the event. I would very highly recommend Potawatomi Hotel and Casino for your event due to the quality of service, amazing food and the tremendous value. We had the most amazing time, and our wedding/reception surpassed all of our expectations.

    Potawatomi had several rooms to choose from. We had our ceremony & reception within the casino. Dream Dance restaurant held our reception. April & Jason were EXTREMELY helpful and organized. Our wedding came in UNDER budget.

    We had our wedding in the Woodland Dreams Ballroom. From the moment we walked in, we knew this was where we wanted to have our wedding reception. We had 250 guests attend our wedding. The room provided us with plenty of room! We did not need to have any tables on the dance floor and our guests were not crammed in. Before and after the Reception, our guests were able to gamble and our wedding party was even able to take photos in the casino! We worked with Dell and she was amazing to work with. She would respond to our emails in a timely manner and always maintained communication with us. We highly recommend anyone looking for a fun place to have a wedding to book here!

    The venues are beautiful! The coordinators that we worked with were so accommodating to all of our wants and needs! The food was great and all of our guests had a great time! There were no hidden costs, they were up front about everything! As long as you meet your F&B minimum, there is not extra charge on the hall, which is hard to find these days!

    We were really shocked when we decided to book Potawatomi for our wedding ceremony and reception. We are not big gamblers, but the venue was so pretty! It was fancy and had a high end look that we just loved. Meeting with the catering manager several times before the event seemed to have everything on track. The last month before the wedding, things started to go off track. The manager was late to our meetings, and then we were promised things that never happened. Ultimately I spoke with the catering manager, for about 5 seconds on the actual wedding day.

    We brought in our floral arrangements the day before the wedding and were told they would be put into a walk in fridge, this never happened. We reviewed several times, the way the prepaid bar items would be handled, the bar tenders were giving open bar to everyone, one of my bridesmaids had to correct them it was beer and wine. The Play Cards given to us by Potawatomi for wedding favors were never put out for the guests. During the time of the ceremony the reception space was not set up on the agreed upon mapping. Then at the end of the night, I was finally getting a late night snack, and was told they were out of tortilla chips for the nacho bar! The night manager then asked if my family could help pick up the space.

    I am sure none of my guests noticed these things, but it was still disappointing to see things fall through the cracks that last minute. My husband and I still try to justify that they are new in the hotel area for these functions and blah, blah.... but really we shouldn't be making excuses, as once its done, it was done.

    The cake was AMAZING! So pretty and tasted delicious, we choose 3 flavors. I also heard all the food was really good. The space was also really laid out well. It worked great, the outside patio got a lot of use and it was perfect to have everything in one spot. Our ceremony was on the same floor as the reception, so it worked really well.

    Our wedding was wonderful, the food was good, the banquet service was excellent. However, the Sales and Catering staff was awful and our experiences dealing with them has left such a bitter taste. We went through 3 coordinators as they kept quitting. Our final coordinator, Rachel, proved to be the least competent. At our first meeting, that she requested, she came into the waiting room to greet us and didn't even know our names. She took us back and admitted she had forgotten about the meeting. This was our first impression and things didn't improve. She consistently presented incorrect information or forgot basic things. She was not responsive to emails. We paid monthly in the year before our wedding and she presented us the wrong total of what we had paid the week prior to our wedding. Thankfully I had all of our credit card statements. We paid our wedding in full the Tuesday prior and all of our requests were listed on the final bill. The wedding went great, until the next day. We woke up to a $1900 charge on our card. We emailed Rachel. She didn't know what it was. A week later she responded. It was for our champagne toast. It was on our final bill, but she had failed to list a line item cost associated with it. So rather than tell us the night of the wedding and nix the toast, or just eat the cost of their employee's mistake, they charged our card without our permission or signature. It has been 3 months and we just now "resolved" (we paid an amount) this, after speaking with multiple people, ending with John who is extremely callous, insensitive, and inflexible. They also threw away our custom cake topper which was our "something borrowed", and threw away our leftover wedding cake! So much for having cake for our one year anniversary. I have more I could say, but I am limited in characters on this review. Though our wedding was great, the Sales and Catering staff was awful. I'd advise to stay away from PHC! We do NOT recommend.
