We had our wedding at the river bend golf course on September 16th 2017. We worked with Todd and he was the most amazing, honest, flexible person we found while looking at venues to have our wedding. He is just like having a personal coordinator! We chose to have a outdoor wedding and he made sure everything was set up perfectly! This is also a great location for photos as it has a bridge and beautiful greenery. There is a option for a indoor reception but the outside was way to pretty to pass up on! This is a great place with great people behind the scenes to ensure that you have a fabulous wedding day! They have a team of other vendors to use for food and rentals which is a giant help when planning a wedding. They make it so the location will pretty much work for any budget. We worked with Val at Abbott Rental and she was also amazing! All together River Bend is a great place for a wedding, we had a blast and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a wedding venue!

My nephew had their Rehearsal dinner at the Wheatstack and it was outstanding! They had about 60 people for a buffet dinner. The appetizers were amazing and plentiful: shrimp, stuffed mushrooms, dips/pita chips. The dinner buffet was assorted and also a good variety for all attendees (gluten-frees included). The chocolate fountain for dessert was a huge hit too! The service was really outstanding and overseen by a very attentive manager, Todd. It was a beautiful night, so games (bags & Jenga) were outside also. Great location and terrific time!

Here is the letter I sent to Todd, the venue manager:
Thank you for the wonderful job your staff did with our phenomenal shindig! A great time was had by all.
Many compliments were received regarding the beauty of the venue (how it was decorated, the many windows overlooking the golf course and spending the later hours on the deck on such a beautiful night). Many comments were given to me regarding how intelligent I am to have found such a wonderful place for my son's wedding!
And more compliments on the food, delicious and plentiful. My personal favorite - the delectable potatoes covered with the yummy pot roast. (I must admit I am a pot roast fan.)
And your staff - EXCELLENT! I can't begin to tell you how incredibly well taken care of I felt. You are lucky to have so many good people working for/with you.
Again, a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to you and the staff at Wheatstack for a job very well done,
    Donna

We had our wedding at Wheatstack and couldn't have been happier with the outcome. The bride and I didn't want a "me to" wedding in a huge banquet hall and this was the perfect alternative.

    Pro's
    1. The staff - Todd, the manager, is awesome and will live up to every promise he makes. He's a straight shooter and incredibly reliable.

    2. The food - Almost everyone in our group of friends has gotten married this year (14 total weddings). Everybody always says the food at our wedding was the best. I may be biased, but I agree

    3. The Gathering area's - Every wedding has a dance floor, but I feel like in most situations it's the only source of entertainment. Wheatstack has a gorgeous large balcony where they put a pop-up bar that entertained guests who didn't want to dance. People were smoking cigars, enjoying the fresh air and some kids even playing just below the balcony in the grass. They also have a semi circle bar right next to where we set up Dancing/the DJ. Many people gathered around that bar and were able to enjoy the ridiculousness that occurs on the dance floor without having to be on it. Lastly, the main room still had tables, deserts, etc. So some of the elderly guest who wanted to get away from the commotion could hang out in this room unbothered.

    4. The Price - You won't find a better bang for the buck.

    5. The Flexibility - My wife has a creative mind and wanted to personalize the space. She made a lot of arts and crafts and had some pretty specific instructions for the Wheatstack staff. They were willing to implement everything to the brides specifications without any resistance.

    The Con's

    1. For anything more than 100 people you'll need to split up into two rooms. For us, this wasn't an issue and was somewhat preferred, but I know many people may not like this. Having said that, the two rooms are separated by an open doorway so it still feels incredibly inclusive.
