Royal Oaks Country Club Reviews

Ok guys if you want a venue that has it all you have to come to the country club for your wedding. We all got ready down in the ladies locker room and had a full time attendant provide us champagne, food, and any items that we may have needed like extension cords, towels, tissues. The venue itself is gorgeous and on top of that they had seriously the best service. Allyson personally was my saving grace as she made sure everything ran smoothly and I was able to trust her with my parents at the end of the night when I was totally out of my mind!!! LOL She is an EXCELLENT event planner and a really nice person. If you're considering having your wedding here, please do because it was absolutely magical for us. We had a blast. Thank you ROCC AND ALLYSON!!

Royal Oaks Country Club is the most beautiful venue in Houston. Allyson, the club's wedding coordinator, was amazing to work with. My husband and I lived out of state and she was responsive to every email/phone call throughout the planning process. Allyson and her team made the experience extra special by being prepared for an outdoor and indoor ceremony the day of the wedding; they helped us with changes to the menu for our guests with dietary restrictions; and overall they were all just super nice people.

The day of the wedding the golf course remains open. Don't let that deter you from choosing this venue because most people don't golf at night and it didn't affect any of our photos or our outdoor ceremony. And the 2 golfers we did meet were very nice.

If you want a venue that is not only beautiful but is willing to work with all the little details you want for your wedding day Royal Oaks is the place. Allyson was so kind and patient with us throughout every step of the planning and especially on the big day. Our guest list kept increasing so I think we redid the seating arrangements at least 3 times to accommodate everyone but it worked out perfect in the end! Our original outside ceremony was rained out but the reception area turned out to be perfect and intimate anyways! The food and service was amazing and the wine and beer bar we chose was perfect for our guests. I actually had a spreadsheet of the dozen or so venues we visited and Royal Oaks checked off more things than other venues. There are so many little things that need to be accounted for and at Royal Oaks they were already taken care of. I didn't have a wedding planner so I needed all the assistance I could get! My husband and I are so happy we chose Royal Oaks. I HIGHLY recommend Royal Oaks for your wedding or any event really.

Words cannot express my gratitude for all that Allyson Brown and her team did for our wedding at Royal Oaks. From the first day we decided (after visiting on several prior occasions), they began to work with our budget. Allyson always answered our questions, even when we occasionally showed up during unplanned visits when other events were being prepared. She worked with our menu changes, liquor changes, and calmed both my mom and I as we began to panic closer to the wedding. On the day of, Allyson was there throughout the set up and even helped pack up our boxes. The food was delicious. The staff really catered to our wedding all day and I felt like a princess.

Overall a great venue. Allyson was wonderful to work with and they were really flexible with our needs. The only downside was that they did not prepare a vegetarian option on the night of our wedding, as we had agreed upon. The groom's entire immediate family is vegetarian so that was a disappointing oversight. Overall, a beautiful venue and great people to work with! Would recommend!

Working with Donna was great. She had done tons of weddings there and knows good layouts for the rooms. Depending on the size of the reception more or less rooms can be used. One must be a member or a friend of a member to use the facilities. It was also pretty pricey, but you never know how much it's going to be until the end. The food was good but we didn't get to take much home. It would have been nice to gotten to have eaten a little bit before the reception since it was not a sit down dinner.
