We had our reception at the OU Sam Noble Museum. It was a little pricey (probably would have got more "bang for our buck" if we'd had the ceremony there, too) but very worth it. They had plenty of space, tables and chairs for everyone and a great dance floor surrounding a huge mammoth statue!
    Good Things:
*Very unique. We even paid extra to open up one wing of museum up so our guests could go look at the dinosaur exhibit (in lieu of wedding favors).
    *Huge
*Big marble staircase for sweeping "grand entrance"
*The lady who was my liason was so sweet and helpful!
*They have a sound system to hook up your computer/ipod, saving you the price of renting a DJ. We had some problem getting it started, but that had nothing to do with the museum. :)

    Downsides:
    *Expensive
*Bring your own linens (I forgot about that part until the last minute - yikes!)
*You have to choose a caterer from their list of approved vendors - only about 10 on the list
*You have to pay extra to even HAVE a bar so they can bring in extra security
*You MIGHT have to deal with University stuff. Since the museum is owned by OU, the president can come in up to 48 hours before your event and kick you out so he can use it himself. This really scared me, and I wasn't sure I'd even be able to sign the contract until about 5 months before the date because they scheduled graduation for the same day as my wedding (grrrrrr). But it all worked out, it was just scary for a little while.

All in all, it was a lovely venue and if I had to plan my wedding all over again (yikes again) I would definately go back to the musuem!
