    Wonderful location, venue, and service!

I was with my daughter when she chose Snow Farm Vineyard for her wedding and we were both immediately won over by the extraordinary beauty of the property and Nick Lane's warm welcome. We signed up on the spot! First impressions were later confirmed, and she had a fabulous wedding in every respect. As the father of the bride, having someone as calm and reassuring as Nick overseeing everything was just gold. The tent is a permanent structure offering plenty of space, views to the vineyard and welcoming breezes for a summer wedding. The ability to have the ceremony up in a field overlooking the vineyard, with Lake Champlaign and the New York mountains as a backdrop was magical (despite being somewhat washed out by Canadian wildfire smoke). Even better, guests and then the wedding party were all transported there in the hay wagon, with Nick driving the tractor. So much fun, and so romantic! If you want an outdoor wedding in a working vineyard with tremendous views, you should consider Snow Farm Vineyard. Oh, and the wine is quite good too!

    Perfect outdoor VT wedding

Our wedding at Snow Farm was an absolute dream. We were looking for a venue that captured Vermont's natural beauty, reflected our vision of an outdoorsy and down-to earth yet elegant wedding, and was fairly priced, and Snow Farm delivered. Being on the island of South Hero, Snow Farm has a destination feel- beautiful, idyllic, and peaceful- yet conveniently accessible from Burlington. Nick, the events coordinator, was fantastic to work with from start to finish. He was responsive, thorough and provided so much guidance while also being incredibly flexible and really supporting our vision. The permanent outdoor tent at Snow Farm with vineyard and lake views, plus beautiful grounds (multiple beautiful ceremony spots) made for a gorgeous and comfortable setting. We found the pricing to be very fair, and having the drink service and linen/tables arranged by the house eased our planning. Nick's extensive knowledge and support should be considered a huge benefit of their package as well. Our wedding was truly magical, and I would highly recommend Snow Farm to anyone hoping for a beautiful outdoor VT wedding!

Perfect spot for a Vermont wedding

Our recent wedding at the beautiful Snow Farm Vineyard went without a hitch. In addition to the gorgeous beauty of a Vermont vineyard setting and a ceremony location that offers a view of Lake Champlain, one thing that made us choose Snow Farm over others was that their event tent is up all season. The price package included tables, chairs and some linens, thus reducing what we needed to rent. We also rented out the nearby Snow Farm Inn which included a tasty breakfast with homemade pastries for those who stayed there. The Inn was also a perfect place for the wedding party to get ready. From the advance planning to the final day, working with Nick Lane, the event coordinator, was easy. Nick would ask questions that helped us think of things we might have forgotten, and he helped orchestrate the vision of the bride and groom for their special day. He was reliable and honest, and honored any agreements that were made, took careful notes and replied to emails and texts promptly. He efficiently coordinated with our other hired vendors for catering, flowers, photography, equipment rental, hair and makeup, and music. SFV provided signage for parking and a guide to direct the guests to the ceremony. SFV staff appeared when needed by lending an arm to escort a parent, giving someone a much-needed ride in a golf cart, helping load and unload personal vehicles as needed. It was a very hot summer day, and SFV provided bottled water at the ceremony and large commercial fans at the reception. We recommend them!

Harrison was fantastic to work with, and all his staff were both professional and fun. The night before the wedding, there was a huge wind storm, resulting in a lot of the tables being upturned. His staff went in and reset everything (in spite of that being the caterer's job, not theirs) in time for everything to be perfect. The staff also joined in with the party when appropriate, and kept the mood light and fun all night. We will definitely be back to celebrate anniversaries!

    Heartbreakingly Unprofessional

I want to be as honest with this review as possible and so I can't give it a one star, even though I'd like to. The venue is very beautiful and if Nick (the bar manager) ever takes over the wedding business here- I would recommend everyone get married here.
We hired this venue because we got good first impressions from the owners (Dave and Juli). However right off the bat I got nervous when she never responded to my emails. When she responded to phone calls, I looked over this as her just being disorganized. Next big red flag: a month before our wedding I schedule a final walkthrough with Juli to go over all details. I drive 3 HOURS there for the meeting and she "forgot about it and went on a weekend trip to Boston instead". Biggest issue, however, was the day of our wedding: after the night was done the owners handed us the bill (without an itemized receipt) with numbers that did not seem to match our contract drink prices. On top of that, our contract had stated a built in tip and we were told there would be no tip jar on the bar so we had planned for an additional cash tip for the bar on top of our venue contracted tip. There was, in fact, a tip jar on the bar that night (very full at the end of the night) and when we tried to hand them the tip money we had on top of that- they asked "Is that it?" We referred to the built in tip and they said they hadn't put that in the final charge. When we expressed hesitancy at having to figure out the numbers while very drunk and asked to talk about it first thing in the morning (with contract in hand), we were given a lot of attitude and they tried to bully us into paying on the spot. If this wasn't enough to sour the night of our wedding, we wake up the next morning and text our point of contact at the vineyard to settle the bill. For about an hour, we hear nothing back. During that period we communicate with our friend who was also our dog sitter for the weekend. She was going back to the vineyard to pick up our dog's harness. We asked our dogsitter to also grab some decorations that had been left at the ceremony location accidentally. When she arrived at the vineyard we heard from her that when she tried to take the harness/decorations Juli ended up literally screaming at her and accusing us of skipping out on the bill. Barely let her leave with just the harness (never got the decor back btw.) My husband called the vineyard directly (as we had not heard back through text) and talked with Dave about why our dogsitter had been attacked when we agreed to pay the next morning (and also she had nothing to do with anything and should've been respected as any other human being). Dave did not sincerely apologize and brushed off the attack saying that "Juli was just emotional". We went over the contract over the phone (now sober) and it turned they had indeed had wrong pricing for some of the drinks. (Thank goodness we hadn't actually paid the night before)
Overall, zero professionalism and minimal organization...plus the attack on our friend sealed the deal. It was a great day but the night and the morning after our wedding was soured because of this. We will never be comfortable going back to the vineyard for our anniversaries, which is heart breaking. Would not recommend (UNLESS Nick Lane takes over the vineyard. He was the one person we worked with who was wonderful. He went above and beyond. We tipped very generously even after Dave and Juli's pettiness in hopes that Nick and the other employees get what they deserve.)
