We are an LGBT couple. We decided to hold our ceremony and reception at the Southbridge Hotel. The staff was excellent in helping with the planning. They were always friendly and kept the event on schedule. We received many comments from our guests on the exceptional service. People felt pampered in a good way. The food is absolutely excellent for the price point relative to comparable venues in the region. We looked at 5 hotels or more in the area, and this really was a notch above the competition and at a lower price than more well-known venues. In the end, with all the fees the venue cost us about $15k including the $2500 open bar tab and $500 in after party snacks for 90 people to attend, and this was during peak fall wedding season on a Saturday.

Lisa and her team created a warm and personalized atmosphere for our themed wedding rehearsal dinner and after party. The conference center has beautiful amenities and picturesque spots for wedding photos (i.e. marble staircase).

The Southbridge Hotel and Conference Center staff went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend so special. Lisa and Jen were super helpful in the months and weeks leading up to the wedding - they made sure that everything was coordinated during the weekend and were extremely responsive when I had questions. In terms of the rooms, our guests were very happy with the sizes of the rooms (huge!) and how comfortable the rooms were.

The hotel lounge was also an awesome bonus - not many hotels in the area have a bar/lounge to begin with. The one at the Southbridge Hotel and Conference Center is gigantic, with pool tables and dart boards to add. It was a great way to do a meet and greet for our guests the night before the wedding, and have an after party after the wedding. It was a great place to socialize without the worry of having to travel far.

Overall, my husband and I were extremely satisfied with the hotel and highly recommend it for guests of weddings in the area!

Southbridge Hotel and Conference Center was the perfect choice for our wedding reception! The grounds are beautiful and the marble staircase inside is a great backdrop for formal photos. My husband and I did the majority of our planning long distance from NC & they were incredibly accommodating of our limited scheduling opportunities. We worked with Lisa during the beginning planning stages and she was very nice and easy to work with. Our menu tasting was a great experience and they went all out, really helping us understand what our guests would be enjoying.
For the remainder of the process we worked with John and Jennifer and they were AMAZING! The took care of every little detail we could possibly think of and even some that never occurred to us. The hotel took care of setting up everything including photos, place cards, favors as well as the normal room set us and they worked seamlessly with our outside vendors as well.
Our wedding was the weekend of the Pan Mass Challenge bike race but the hotel did not let that chaos affect our day at all. Nate Lucier at the front desk even went out of his way to help book me a suite the night before the wedding (even though the room was previously booked) so that my bridal party would have somewhere with enough room to get ready and I wouldn't have to deal with any extra travel stress the morning of our wedding.
Our reception was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious, and the timing between courses was perfect. Everything looked beautiful, all our items were arranged perfectly and John and Jennifer took care of everything we, or our guests needed.

This was a GREAT venue. The rooms were excellent and good value. The pool was a great addition for the kids, and the onsite restaurant was very good!! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a late night after wedding affair that included food, chicken wings etc. and it was always fresh and hot. The Southbridge Hotel did not host our wedding, but did everything else. Always gracious and friendly. My wife had many phone conversations with event staff, which was very helpful. We would definitely recommend this venue for any event from Boston to Hartford and in between!!

Staff was outstanding from the start to finish. Could of had a few problems but the staff made the necessary adjustments and everything worked out. My guests thought the hotel and accommodations were great and had a wonderful time. Jennifer and Lisa are a class act and a real jewel of the Southbridge Hotel.

We used this hotel for our guests to stay, and also did food the night before the wedding. Everybody was happy with their rooms, the food was prepared as planned, and the hotel staff did a great job tolerating drunken wedding guests post wedding.
