    A perfect Cake

    Great quality ingredients,great flavor,they were really flexible with the price and got a great cake for less than i actually expected,they are extremely professional. I recommend this to everyone who wants a wedding cake or any occasion cake.

    Sweet sensation cakes are AMAZING! I had a destination wedding.The cake was fresh and moist.I had the vainilla & marble w/chocolate for my wedding cake. YUM! Tha cake was beautiful. They are creative with their design. I highly recommend this company if you are getting married in Puerto Rico

    Excellent service. I highly recommend this place for a wedding cake. I am from Chicago and planned my wedding in Puerto Rico, and they made it very easy to plan. After all the pictures I sent, they emailed me the final design so I knew exactly what the cake would look like. The details were perfect and I received so many compliments. The people from Sweet Sensations were very professional and were on top of contacting me and replying to all my emails. It was very easy to work with them. I was very pleased. The cake also was really good!

    Planning a wedding in Puerto Rico turned out to be more challenging than I thought it would be.
    I contacted many vendors in an effort to try to find someone to make my wedding cake. Many didn't return my calls (I can only assume it may have been a language barrier - even though I used a translator website in an effort to correspond in Spanish) and others would not make a wedding cake for a wedding as small as mine (20-30 people).

    After searching through several wesbsite I ran across the contact information for Sweet Sensation cakes. They were highly responsive and were able to make the cake to my specifications.

    I could not have been more pleased and I am happy to get the word out on how well they did and that they were able to do so without costing me a small fortune. I ordered a beautiful almond cake with buttercream frosting and she was able to match the color of my bridesmaids dresses based on a picture I forwarded.

    My guest loved it. (I was too busy, given the hectic night, to eat more than a small slice).

    Please consider them if you are having a wedding in Puerto Rico.

    Sweet sensation cakes did such a beautiful job on our cake. First of all, the cake was beautiful (I did not want to cut it...but i had to). Secondly, it tasted GREAT!! It's so moist and just right...not too sweet, but sweet enough. I would recommend her to anyone looking for wedding cake, or for any special events! People loved our cake at the wedding!! We loved it!! Plus, she is so easy to talk to. We were comfortable talking to her throughout the meeting and up to after our wedding...the whole process. Thank you, !

    We contacted many vendors who never responded to us. Those that did lacked any follow through. Denisse responded back to us promptly throughout the entire process. We knew immediately upon meeting Denisse at the first tasting that we would be hiring her to create our cake.

    At the onset, we were willing to sacrifice aesthetics for taste…with Denisse we didn’t have to do that. Her samples at the tasting were mind blowing. My newlywedded husband was hands-on in the entire wedding planning process, specifically with the cake design. We showed up with a rough sketch of what we envisioned and Deenisse took the idea and executed the design beyond our expectations. The cake was so beautiful and beyond delicious. We have been receiving many words of praise about how scrumptious the cake was at our wedding this past November, as well as inquires about the chocolate leaves and the berries that adorned the cake. We cannot thank you enough for such a perfect and memorable cake, as well as for being such a genuine and good-natured person. We are so grateful!

    Amazing! These two ladies know how to make a wedding cake. They were so easy going and completely make you feel like you are their only customers at the time. They are very attentive. The cake design came out just as I wanted it and the taste and quality were great. Definitely the place to go for your wedding cake!!!

    Denise and Betsy were easy to work with and I was overall pleased with the cake. Sweet Sensations was one of the easiest vendors to work with prior to the wedding -excellent responsiveness to e-mails. The tasting was representative of the taste of the actual cake (chocolate with guava filling). I also found them to be more affordable than others cake vendors that I researched.

    our wedding was on September 7, 2011. the cake was beutifully designed. Flowers and seashells looked awesomelly real. Never had tasted before a wedding cake that was both pretty and flavorfull. A definitve most for a special occasion.

    Cake was delicious, exactly what we asked for. Vendor was flexible on a last minute change to the number of guests and also made cookies with some of the left over budget. Everything was a bit hit. Thank you Sweet Sensation Cakes!!!

    I ordered a wedding cake from Sweet sensation cakes and they were very friendly to work with and understanding. But I was disappointed when I saw the cake at my reception. It was tilting in the back and not looking right when we got there. And when we tasted the cake, there were no filling what so ever. It said on there website that red velvet cake with cream cheese filling were there specialty, no no no.. And the cover of the cake was way too thick and hard.
    It looked good from the front but not from the side and I didn't like the way it tasted at all. Sorry

    We are sad to read your feedback. Please, receive our apologies for any misunderstanding.

    We do recognize everyone has their own likes. Not everybody will share the same taste. We are not a Red Velvet specialist and we have never or will never claim such. Red Velvet is not on our Flavor list. We only bake it if we are asked for it. But certainly, we have had many customers who have loved our Red Velvet cake and decorations. We are just really sad you are not one of them. We are regretful you didn’t have the chance to run a tasting before ordering.

    We are also sorry you were not satisfied with the amount of filling we used. Heavy cakes with a not dense structure as Red Velvet can’t be over filled. Thanks for showing us on this one. We will ask our customers about this from now on, so we can leave some extra filling at delivery. In addition, we would like you to be acquainted with the fact that your wedding date was on a really rainy week. We had to use a substance to seal the fondant so it could stand humidity better. Otherwise, decorations get distorted by humidity more easily. Fondant gets thick when dry and the sealing substance makes fondant thicker than it is. We regret the fact that “that’s just the way it is”.

    As for cake clinginess, Red Velvet has a fragile or not dense structure. Thus, weight can cause clinginess to this cakes. We balanced cake before delivery and setup. Weight may have caused some instability over time. We regret the fact we didn’t have authorization to use the needed support system, which would have avoided any instability.

    Again, we apologize for any misunderstanding. Should we have been notified of such observations immediately, we would have made the impossible to satisfy our customer.
